After some research and a phone conversation, I ordered an LS3 swap kit at the beginning of February 2025. I paid the deposit on my credit card (important for later). I called a couple of times before the 6 month lead time date. I never received any specifics, just a general update that there is no update. At about the 4 month mark, I realized it was odd that the only time I got an update was when I called. No proactive updates, no real customer service. In July, I decided to use the chat feature thinking I might need a documentation trail. Turns out I did. In mid- July I chatted for an update and got a simple reply of "late August." I was excited that it was getting close. Late August came and went. No outreach. This time, when I used the chat to reach out, no response. After one more attempt with no response, I used the chat to inform that I was requesting my money back. Still no response. I entered a dispute with my credit card company. Today, when I logged into my Mars account, the order had been deleted. I'm still shocked that I've not heard anything. I'm glad for the protection of having used a credit card. All of this to say, I absolutely do not recommend this company.
have a lot nice things and they are cheap but I called said I wanted a seat back initially when I called talked for a sec then he repeated back to me okay so you want the whole seat again said no just the seat back. showed up he has the whole seat told me 50$ I said no I told you I just wanted the seat back he replies with well you should've said that on the phone I said I did my fiancé who was with me heard me say it twice and also reiterated to him I said it on the phone. didn't have employees there before close to take seat back off tried to do it myself because I had some tools but didn't have the proper tools on me an employee came over out of the woodwork and offered to take it apart he told him no let him do it and sent him home and he couldn't have gave less of a crap. left with nothing very disappointed wish I could've gotten my seat. might come back one day might not but it wouldn't matter bc he doesn't care about any of his customers woth his crappy attitude.
Ordered a gen1 coyote swap in July of 2023. Called in May of 24 to ask about and was told 8 weeks called again today (7-30-24) and was told another six to eight weeks. Way to bullshit your customers. Call again on 9/5/24 and was told it would be another 3-4 weeks. Cancelled my order and asked for a refund and was told it would take a while and it would have to be in two payments due to they didn’t have the money.
Finally got a refund in January of 2025 after going through the BBB and the state attorney general’s office to file complaints.
Made my first trip to Mars. I thought Mars was a red planet, but was white when I there. Picked up my Coyote Swap. Like any 65 year old kid, I started it as quick as I got it unloaded. Very pleased with it, they had labeled every wire that needed labeled. Enjoyed meeting and talking to Bruce. Thanks

Very pleased with it. Was exactly what I ordered and worth waiting for. Year and VIN tag attached and they Bruce explained everything to me. Nice used specific GM F-Body suspension sway bar I needed. Courteous and prompt communications. Good price and fast shipping. Positive experience, recommended.
Placed an order on September 20, 2023 and still don't have my motor and Bruce is very Nonchalant about it. He is not able to provide me with a date. He can give me a refund which will take weeks to receive because he currently doesn't have the funds.
I purchased a godzilla package from another company, but purchased the wiring harness from Mars. I had difficulties figuring out what was going on.
John Martin helped me out tremendously to get it running.
They know there stuff. He could of said that it had nothing to do with there harness can't help you, but John did not he stuck by me to get my project on track that is professionalism.

Not happy. Waited months to have an order filled because they were waiting on mafs sensors, that was understandable and fine but when our order finally showed up the mafs sensor was missing. They took no responsibility for their mistake and infact didn’t even respond to my messages
Took a little while to ship. Why the 4 stars But got my control pack and pats delete. Parts look great wire harness and fuse box is super nice. I’d pick this over the Ford pack again … they always answered my calls and questions.
First time dealing with Mars Auto has been good. Quick to answer phone and knowledgeable of what is needed for my Swap. Coyote Swap of a 67 Ford Falcon. Glad their around.
Excellent service .Extremely helpful and even emailed me pictures of the actual unit that was looking to buy. Brian was very helpful over the phone. Will definitely use them again when looking for hard to find parts. Part arrived in 3 days well packaged.
I ordered a engine and transmission on Feb 2022, they said because of the "pandemic, now post pandemic issues (because I contacted them many times)" it will take longer. Last time I speaked with them in January 2023 they said 2 more months, my folling question was: can you at least tell me what you already have done in the last 11 months? Their answered was nothing...
I was lucky enough to get my money back because I used a credit card, I paid a good money for a promise and 1 year lost waiting. They don't send any updates about your order, if you don't call them they hope for you to forget about it.

Terrible communication and customer service. Spent thousands with them. Got half my order. After wasting months waiting I just wanted a refund. After weeks of asking for a refund I was finally told my info was sent back to get a refund. Guess what? My part magically showed up. I guess ONLY pay with a credit card and demand a refund to get customer service. It’s sad because so many said this was a legit company but I can see I am not alone based on other reviews. Also, it was almost 1 year from order to delivery…
I purchased (down payment of $7,500)an engine swap 1/2/2023 and confirmed the 6 month delivery. After checking in multiple times to confirm the delivery, I clearly understood the time frames, so during the 3rd month, 5th month, several times during the 6th month, 7th month, 8th month and now, going on the 9th month(all of which I have documentation of promised dates that have come and gone), I called and one sales person says they don't have a donor car and anther says they have one but can't give and ETA because quote from John Martin" it will get done when it gets done". Obviously this is a way to scam money. John keeps saying the website says "estimate times" but when his written and verbal promises are proven via his correspondences he then has no response. Again, a scam. I have reported them to BBB, FTC and the Ohio State Attorney General's office to get a total refund or my order with in 5 days.
Crazy inaccurate timelines on engine crates. Purchased a 3.5 ecoboost in Nov 2021. Wouldn’t answer emails and assured that they would be able to provide the product while talking on the phone. I waited over a year with no progress and Bruce stated that they couldn’t provide the service. For context, I wanted a sub 75,000 mile motor which is an option on the website. Nov 2022 I request a full refund which they agree upon. It took over four months to receive a check. I understand that this is a risk you take with small companies but Bruce sounded like a kicked puppy every time I asked about the product or the refund.
Never visited this place in person, only as an online customer. They were very helpful and quick to respond to all questions I had. When I made the order I was at work, with no way to make the payment but they went ahead and started the packaging and shipping process. They sent me a podium pay link that day to make the payment that evening. I will definitely use Mars Auto and Truck Parts again
Lead times on swap kits are wildly inaccurate. I was up front about my timeline when ordering in August, and now a month out from the 6-month lead time when I purchased I'm being told it's (at least) another 2 months out past that. This is not the type of behavior I expected given the cost. If you have a time frame in mind for your build, I highly recommend shopping elsewhere.
Steve LaTampa is making a huge difference at mars! I’ve been dealing with mars for a couple years and he’s turning things around. It used to be hard to get a hold of someone. His customer service is second to none! Great guy
Go somewhere else for parts needs, they are selling parts they don't have. I ordered and paid for a Coyote Swap (Engine and Transmission) from them in November 2021 and was told the lead time is 12 weeks. Now 22 weeks later they are telling me it will be another 10 weeks because there are 40 orders ahead of mine. Asked for a refund which they will gladly give minus 25%, which is a bunch of bull.
They are not honest about lead times. They will stop responding to emails as soon as you pay for your engine kit. They do not return phone calls no matter how many times they tell you they’ll call you back. Took 10 months and a Better Business Bureau complaint just for them to do anything to get me what I paid for. Go elsewhere for your LS packages.
Response: you can’t even get your customers straight. I filed my BBB claim 4 months after I got my engine because of failed promises and lack of customer service.
Super nice folks, Evan and John took good care of me. Even though, thanks to Covid, it took way longer than expected the end result is I got a great engine/trans at a very reasonable price. And it is plug and play!! The guys in the shop were very helpful, Luke helped me take off parts that the chassis builder did not need before we shopped him the engine, truth be told Like did most of the work. They have lots of performance stuff there. I would recommend taking a look at MARS before you make a purchase.
John and the team at MARS went above and beyond to make sure my LS swap went smooth. Even a year after I purchased my LS2 from them they helped me out. I had to work out some bugs with my alternator/charging setup... ended up having to go with an F body alternator and one wire control. John was able to guide me through some wiring as well as buy back the parts I didn’t use to get my swap up and running! They have the Knowledge base and parts supply to get your project dialed in. I highly recommend.
Was priced a set of seats for 900$, I asked the salesman if thats the best price. He replied back “probably could do 750$ if I picked up”. Took a day off work, hired a baby sitter, and drove 4 hours. Once I arrived the salesman said these sell for more on EBay and tried to charge me $1200. I stated I wanted them for the $750.. I was turned down at $750 and also was turned down at the original $900. Waste of time and they whole day driving up there. Poor place to do business.
