I gave 3 stars because he took forever (past the scheduled time) to get my car. But he called to tell me was running late. I appreciated that. When he got here, he was very professional, nice even has a good sense of humor and he was the cheapest towing service. Plus he's right down the street. He explained he was the only one running the place ok. Now I understand why he was late. He took my car right to where it needed to go. Even called to make sure he was at the right place and exactly where to put it and at what angle. Good guy. I would definitely use him again. He even has cars to sell.
The owner of the company came and recovered my jeep with a quickness. Good people. Very affordable pricing for a 4x4 tow in the middle of the night. The driver went above and beyond to help not only tow my car, but was able to get it to start, kept it at the lot so it would be safe, and offered possible solutions that would help save money on repairs
They charged me $533 to tow my car within a 10 mile radius. Worst experience ever with the driver he was cussing me out because I wanted me receipt. Highly do not recommend

Amazing towing service ! Everywhere else quoted me at least a 2 hour wait time and 100 bucks more for a tow less than 10 miles away. Ryan made it happen in less than an hour for a very reasonable price.

Company was so responsive to my request. I needed my car towed out of my driveway and taken to the dealership for service. They said they would arrive within 1 - 1.5 hours of the phone call and they did. They were prompt, respectful, and were able to tow my car without any issues. I highly recommend their services!

Zero Stars - Horrible Experience with Portillas Towing and Hauling
On September 30, 2024, I broke down in an F350 flatbed truck, and my company called Portillas Towing and Hauling. I was told they couldn't take the truck 122 miles to West Virginia until the next morning, but they'd pick it up and store it in a secure lot overnight. They quoted me $1203 for the service, which seemed high for a rollback wrecker, but l agreed.
Ryan Portilla came to pick me up, and instead of getting an Uber to a hotel, he insisted on driving me in his personal vehicle. He mentioned he would add a little more to the bill to cover this cost. When we left, I noticed there were large speakers in the back of his SUV, so I had to sit in the back seat with my luggage. There was also a female passenger in the front seat, which seemed unprofessional considering I was a customer.
On the way to the hotel, Ryan drove recklessly, reaching speeds of 103 miles per hour (I tracked this on my Life360 app). This made me uncomfortable and further reinforced my doubts about the professionalism of this service.
The following morning, I reminded Ryan to send delivery updates to my company, but he billed me $1431.92, significantly higher than the original quote. Additionally, after delivering the truck to our customer, he charged them an extra $159.12.
Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Portillas Towing and Hauling.
The pricing was deceptive, the professionalism was lacking, and the driving was dangerous. I would not recommend this companv to anvone.

First, there was no profanity used on my end during our phone conversation. In fact, you were the one raising your voice, which made it difficult to have a constructive conversation.
Regarding the speed issue, I have proof that you were driving 103 miles per hour, even though the distance was only 17 miles. This isn’t a matter of opinion—it’s a fact, and I have documentation to support it.
As for the claim that it was a “new job site,” that is also incorrect. The destination was the TVA plant, which has been there for many years, with a clear and established address. There was no confusion about the location on my end.
I understand the service you provided had its challenges, but I stand by my concerns about the overall handling of this situation.
Portillas Towing & Hauling gets the job done, efficiently and safely! Ryan drove an hour, To pull me & my boat out of the ditch when a local tow company wouldn’t answer the phone! It was a sketchy situation since It happened in a construction zone with no shoulder. Ryan used half a lane & his experience with no help from law-enforcement! 10/10 Would Recommend!
Fast and friendly service with knowledgeable owner. He was able to find the nail in my tire and patch it up in no time at all! I highly recommend this company for roadside and/or towing.
