My girlfriend and I ran into some car troubles while on the highway. We had to pull over and find the nearest car shop that could work on our vehicle, and we were lucky to have stumble upon Elmore Automotive! They were able to diagnose and fix the issue in an hour and we were back on our way :)
Guy never keeps his promises. He can't keep up with the schedule. He tells you he can have it done in 2 or 3 hours but 3 or 4 days is usually by the time he gets finished. Prices are always way more than he quotes. Highly suggest you go someplace else
Excellent and Quick Service!
On our way to NYC our car’s AC stopped working and we still had another 8 hours on the road. We stopped by a couple of auto shops at an exit and called a few but all seemed to be backed up and wouldn’t even look at our car. When we called Elmore auto, they were also very busy but Nate really understood our situation and agreed to take a look. Nate and his crew were super helpful despite being busy and fixed our AC issue quickly and soon we were back on the road again. Extremely professional, quick service, and close to the Ohio Tpk as well! Highly Recommend.
Got a flat on the highway and got towed there. They were able to get me in, replace my tire and back on road in about 30 minutes. All the people there were very nice
Called about air not working in my Van and the owner fit me in and kept me up on everything as they figured out the issue. Great customer service and fast! Will absolutely use them as our go to shop!
He's helped me and my fiance with multiple car issues. He's made sure we always had accurate times and price quotes. Both workers are extremely kind and explain well without sounding condescending. Very highly recommend them to everyone I know.
We took our car to replace front brakes. After getting it back I drove to Perrysburg. There was a loud noise and scraping sound from right front. Called them back to have them look at it and couldn't get it in for a week. So I had to leave my car set. Took it back a week later and they evidently didn't drive it or listen to what I told them that it was right front noise. They replaced my rear brakes and never called to say that's what they were doing or to give me an estimate which you should always do. Get the car back and it was still doing it. So at this point I don't trust them to diagnose. I took it to the dealer and they found that the right front caliper bolt was missing. So it literally had gouged a groove in my rim from caliper rubbing and threw the weights off and it needed balanced. So another $256.00 that I should not have to have spent and I don't believe I even needed the rear brakes at 48,000 miles on my car. I have spoke with Wyatt the owner and explained all this and he said he would get back with me and would do something. I am assuming he was going to reimburse something. Still have not heard from him. I would not recommend this shop. Brakes are a fairly simple job and they evidently can't do them. BIG SAFETY ISSUE.
Broke down on interstate on Friday afternoon Wyatt was able to repair my van that evening. Wyatt is an impressive young man does a great job at a fair price. The town is a hidden gem best break down experience ever.
Very impressed. Portage Auto Works did a great job diagnosing and fixing the issues with my ABS light and Traction Control light. They were fast friendly and fair and I would recommend them if you need a repair.
These guys were lifesavers last year. I got a pretty large puncture in one of my tires and asked if they could patch me up quickly. They brought us in, and we were out 15 min later (if that). Same tire is as good as new one year later. They were class acts too and didn’t ask for any payment (couldn’t allow that though).
Took my truck in for a blown brake line in a rush situation. Portage Auto Works missed the schedule by (4) days, the final bill was $100+ over the quote. Missed schedule and poor communication resulted in additional personal costs. Details and timeline below.
Sept. 7: Blew brake lines leaving for vacation.
Sept. 8: Portage Auto Works assured my wife they could repair the brake lines before the weekend so we could tow camper home. Vehicle towed to shop.
Sept. 9: I missed phone call late in the day for quote.
Sept. 10 AM: Portage Auto provided quote early in the AM and was given approval to proceed.
Sept. 11: Numerous phone calls in AM with no answer. Return phone call around noon stated they were busy and would call when done.
Sept. 12: Texted for update as it was the weekend and truck was still not finished. No Reply.
Sept. 14: Called in AM for update. Assured it would be done in the afternoon, so I took the afternoon off work to pay them and pick up vehicle. Called in PM, truck still not finished but will be done tomorrow.
Sept. 15: Called in PM, work on truck finally started, not completed.
Sept. 17: Truck completed around noon. (4 days late and $105.61 over budget). Picked the truck up in the PM and questioned scheduling and price difference. I was told that the difference was because not all of the lines were shipped with the original shipment so they had to reorder the part. I personally checked the brake lines before pulling it out of the parking lot. I did have new brake lines, however, they were not snapped into the appropriate brackets on the frame and in one case ran over an electrical wire from some component in the front corner of the truck (maybe the headlight?). On a positive note, the brakes do work and do not appear to be leaking.

Drop my vehicle off the night before for alternator starter and serpentine belt had it done and ready for me by close of business and the price was very reasonable
