I had my brake actuator fixed years ago here. Everyone was very sweet and very professional! I meant to leave a review but completely forgot. The people that work here are very kind and honest. I would trust them with anything! That’s why I almost always bring my car here whenever it’s having issues. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great service and communication. They are always pretty busy so plan/schedule in advance.

Centerville Service Center took great care of my daughter and her car. They handled new tires, rear window wipers, and an oil change, and were flexible with scheduling and very attentive throughout the process. The team showed real personal care, clearly explained the work, and made sure everything was done right. It’s reassuring to find a place you can trust—especially when it comes to family. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at Centerville Service Center. They were on time, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. The team took the time to explain the diagnosis in a way that actually made sense, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, there was zero pressure — just honest, expert advice so I could make an informed decision. It’s refreshing to find a service center that communicates well and truly puts the customer first. Highly recommend!

I want to share my experience as objectively as possible so others can make an informed decision. I brought my 2015 Ford Focus ST (2.0L EcoBoost) to this shop to have the engine timed. Shortly after that job, the engine came loose from the timing cover/engine mounts and dropped, breaking the CV axle. I paid to have the car towed back to the shop, and to their credit they replaced the engine bolts and CV axle at no charge. Unfortunately, what wasn’t caught during that repair was damage caused when the engine fell — specifically, a coolant hose that had rubbed through. I drove the car about two hours to my parents’ house without inspecting the work (my mistake), and immediately after exiting the highway the temperature gauge spiked. I shut the car off right away. After adding coolant and restarting briefly, the car began smoking and smelled strongly of burning antifreeze, so I shut it down again. I contacted Tim, the owner, and explained the situation. He told me the shop would fix anything they caused or incorrectly installed, which I felt was reasonable. I towed the car back to the shop. At that point, I was told the car had overheated and that the turbo exhaust seals were blown. This was disappointing, as the turbo was a nearly new Garrett unit (~$1,500). Tim explained that it couldn’t be definitively determined whether the engine falling was their fault or related to prior work I had done myself. We worked out what seemed like a fair compromise: I would supply a replacement turbo, and the shop would handle the labor. However, after installing the new turbo, the shop realized the issue had been misdiagnosed — the turbo was not the problem. Instead, the cylinder head/headifold was cracked (a known issue on these engines). At that point, returning the turbo was harder to achieve since it had been installed. Tim was professional and clear when explaining this over the phone, which I appreciated. I asked if I could supply a cylinder head and keep the same arrangement (I pay for parts, they provide labor), but that was not an option. I was then given a repair estimate of over $5,000, which I declined, and I picked the car up. In total, I paid about $2,000 for the initial timing job and ultimately ended up facing a potential $5,000 repair afterward. I did perform some work on the car prior to bringing it in, so it’s possible some responsibility falls on me. I’m not claiming the shop is entirely at fault. As a full-time mechanic myself (in a different field), I understand that misdiagnoses happen, and I respect that Tim stands behind his technicians. However, it did feel like support was more forthcoming when the repairs were less expensive, and once the scope grew significantly, that support stopped. Overall, the staff is friendly, the shop is professional, and they seem to do good basic work. My experience made me question their ability to handle deeper diagnostics on more complex jobs. Even though my situation didn’t turn out well, they do run a professional operation — just be aware that if you’ve already started work on your vehicle, outcomes like this may be more complicated

Have taken 5+ cars and trucks to them over the past 15 years. I have found them to be honest, more than willing to work with me, and only do repairs that were absolutely necessary. I brought a car to them that I was considering. After their inspection their response was “please tell me you didn’t buy this car”. Cannot recommend enough. Have had brakes, oil changes, radiator, exhaust system, serpentine belt.

Called for a quote and was told I couldn’t get a quote unless I brought the car in. I said I know what’s wrong and the person on the phone then unwillingly gave me a price on half of what I needed done (brakes and rotors) but still refused to tell me how much a caliper replacement would be, insisting they need to see the car to see if it’s seized. I am telling you it is seized and still no quote. That’s fine I won’t be coming there.

Talked to them several times, at length, about an engine diagnostic and overhaul. They were honest and provided sound advice. I decided not to have the repair done, but I would gladly take any of our vehicles there.

We've been bringing our cars here for years, and the experience has always been exceptional. Tim and his team are honest, attentive, and take the time to explain everything in a way that's easy to understand. Their customer service truly goes above and beyond—when a family member visiting from out of town needed an emergency tire repair, they handled it quickly and didn’t even charge us. If you're considering buying a new or used vehicle, I highly recommend their pre-purchase inspection service. It’s thorough and gives you the confidence to make an informed decision. This shop is a rare find—trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping their customers.

Went by this location to ask for an estimate..Before going there ,the girl on the phone didn't even know if they could give an estimate on an exhaust..The guy that helped me when I came by said they'd email me an estimate, and 3 days later still haven't heard from them..I definitely would not let this place work on my car .

Anything car-related is automatically stressful for me. I know nothing about anything, and I get super nervous and intimidated about the most basic things. The folks at Centerville Service are friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. When presented with a fix that was more expensive than I anticipated, I felt no pressure to make a decision right away. It’s clear that they care about their customers here. Many thanks to Tims 1 and 2, who were a huge help!

Great local mechanics! They are honest and will tell you what your car needs as well as what it does not need. I never felt like I was being upcharged for a service that did not make sense. I trust them with my vehicles. Honda, Toyota, & Lexus.

My tire went flat right past 675 on Far Hills on my way to work. I turned right into Centerville Service Center and within 10 minutes they set me up for a new tire and to pick it up after work, even though they would be closed by the time I got off work. Extremely friendly and personable I will DEFINETLY be coming back. THANK YOU

I initially thought I found a trustworthy shop, but my experience left me disappointed and out $1,800 with the original issue still unresolved. I brought my car in due to a loud screeching when turning left and sometimes while braking — this was clearly documented in the “client concern” section of their diagnostic report (which I’ve attached). I also demonstrated the noise in person when I returned. They diagnosed the problem as a brake issue, which I paid to have repaired, even though it was financially difficult. However, the original noise worsened. When I returned, they then said the real issue was a bad ball joint — potentially a safety concern, which I had mentioned upfront being worried about. I asked if any accommodation could be made (discount or payment plan), since their initial diagnosis didn’t resolve the core problem. They declined, saying both issues were valid and that they’re a small business. I wasn’t disputing that the brakes needed attention eventually, but fixing them first wasn’t my priority when a potentially dangerous issue remained unaddressed. They waived the second inspection fee, but that doesn’t change the fact that I paid over $1,800 for a misdiagnosed problem, and now face another $600–$800 for the repair I originally came in for. I wasn’t informed both issues were present or given a chance to prioritize the safety concern first — something I believe any good shop would do. I trusted their expertise, but in the end, I left feeling unheard, financially strained, and like the responsibility for a diagnostic oversight fell solely on me. I hope they consider adjusting their intake or inspection process so future customers are better informed and prioritized based on safety.

A good mechanic will do everything in their power to figure out what’s wrong with your car. A poor one will charge you $1700 for a problem you didn’t ask to be fixed in the first place, and leave you with a more dangerous problem to be fixed later on. Husband was refused a payment plan or discount for fixing the more dangerous problem. Save your money and look around town.

This was my first time getting my vehicle serviced at an independent shop, And I don’t regret it one bit. I had a general idea of the damage from my car hitting a pole, But didn’t know how severe the extent would be. I called a shop way closer to me which I will not name, And due to the rude demeanor of the person on the phone, I decided to pursue other shops. I called a couple other shops and got quotes ranging from $110-$130 for a simple diagnosis. After seeing several recommendations on Reddit and looking at other Google reviews, I decided to give this place a call. From the moment my call was answered, And throughout the whole process, Tim was a pleasure to work with. I explained my situation to him, And He was empathetic and understanding. I shared my concerns of a busted condenser with him, and asked if they could check the full extent of the damage to my car. I was quoted $80 to diagnose (Very reasonable) and dropped my car off the following Thursday. Within 2 hours of dropping my car off, Tim had an answer for me, And I was quoted very fairly to not only replace, Refill, and service the busted condenser and AC system, But also to replace a radiator bracket that had been knocked off. After approving the repairs over the phone, My car was done within a few hours. Not once did they push for any unnecessary or uncalled for repairs, And they kept me updated through every step of the process. As a DIY mechanic myself, I’m not ashamed to say that if there’s any job I don’t feel qualified handling on my own that Centerville service center will be my choice for having work done to my car. But Bruce got a phenomenal team, And I’m glad I chose them to service my car.

Simply put, this is one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. When it comes to mechanics, there is usually that sense of dread and mistrust--how much are they going to try to wring out of me? How do I know I really need X or Y? Centerville Service Center, through its absolutely stunning staff, has once again made a believer of me out of the good possible from mechanics and car shops. Trying to take care of my mother-in-law's car after a squirrel gnawed through a single cable was frustrating, especially when the part I needed was available only through a dealership that was a solid drive away. The staff, but especially Jordan, at CSC were so helpful, so involved and genuine, that it made me adamant that they were the best people for the job. Despite the plethora of auto shops in the area, I even WAITED so Jordan and co. could take care of the car. Forget the big chain stores and all that crap--if you live anywhere near enough, CSC is the place to be.

Honest, fast and friendly service. They had to order a part for my car and Jordan went out of his way to get the job done on time and at minimum cost. It’s can be hard to find good car service especially if you know nothing about auto repair yourself. If I’m in need of any more car repairs I know where to go now.

The service I received at CSC was head and shoulders better than ANY other service center. It was not an easy problem to identify, but Chad hung in there and has this 1995 Monte Carlo purring like it did when it was new. A week ago, I called in and spoke to Jordan. My request was to have an old school mechanic work on the car. Jordan understood and they were able to diagnose it by eliminating other causes. This week I spoke to Tim 2 and then the owner Tim 1. These guys are just great. My long term mechanic was Kevin Sabo at East David Automotive. They sold to another garage and I was without a permanent replacement. Now I have found my garage and am really thankful.

This is a great place to take your car for any repair or scheduled maintenance. I've personally spoke with the owner and was really impressed with his knowledge and kindness. If you pull in to their parking lot you'll know what I'm talking about. The lot is always full because the people know a good thing when they see it. Trust is important in car repair, and I feel that I can trust them to get the job done right.

The staff here is amazing. As a woman who travels full time (driven entirely across the US 9 times and been to MANY mechanics) this is the one place where I feel comfortable asking questions and getting genuine answers. All of the staff here, especially the representatives in the front, are kind, friendly, personable, helpful, comforting, and most importantly HONEST. They really want to help you and make sure you’re safe, not just get a quick buck out of you. I appreciate their service 10/10

I cannot say enough good things about this auto shop. I called frantic because there was an issue with my brakes going out, they got me in the next day and not only went over all of the issues, but was extremely helpful through the entire process. Customer service is amazing, prices are great. I would recommend this place over and over again!!

My first experience with Jordan and Centerville Service Center was phenomenal! I was in a pinch and my dealership refused my business. Never having visited CSC, Jordan and the technicians went out of their way to work a service call into their crammed schedule. All of my questions were promptly answered in terms I understood and with a friendly and professional attitude! Excellent experience and I will no longer be using my dealership for services! My future business will go to Centerville Service Center!

I am visiting from Iowa. My check engine light came on as soon as I pulled into the driveway of my destination in Centerville. I called multiple places and either didn't get a call back or was told they couldn't help me. I called Centerville Service Station and Jordan was so nice on the phone and said to bring my car in. The guys there figured out what was wrong with my car and got it in and fixed the same day. I am so impressed with their service and kindness. They made sure my car was taken care of and safe for me to get back home (10 hours away). I can't say enough good things. Thank you so much!!

Took my car in to get repaired after hitting a curb, These guys left my braking plate severely bent and the brake issue persisted. After paying a good amount of money for this quality of service I will not be returning here.
