Very happy to be able to find parts for my car locally! I rounded off one of my screwdrivers and they let me borrow one ...very friendly and helpful. The prices we affordable and I plan on returning soon. I will recommend to my coworkers and friends A-1 Import Auto Parts.
I'd give zero stars if I could. I went to this dealership to drive a vehicle last week. Upon bringing the vehicle out for me to test drive, I asked where he obtained his vehicles and he said from larger dealerships when people trade them in. I then asked if he checks them over to which he said he did and that all of his vehicles are in good working condition. I asked for more information on what exactly he checks/inspects on them, to which he gave no answer. I asked if the vehicle was throwing any engine codes and he told me "no." I asked if there was any rust on the vehicle and he told me "no" to that as well. I headed out for the test drive and stopped in a parking lot to check the vehicle over myself. The front struts were rusted, as was a majority of the metal components on the underneath of the vehicle. I plugged in my FIXD unit, and the engine was throwing a code P2096 with a "Major Driving Impact." This vehicle was listed at $8,295. KBB value with these problems should be no higher than $6,178. Either he lied to me that he checks his vehicles out when he really doesn't, OR, he did check it out and knew there was rust and an engine code so he cleared it and lied about the existing problems. STAY AWAY!!!
Eddie is a nice guy, charges fair prices and is very helpful. I found him on Facebook and he answered within the hour and I went to visit him the next day. Part fits, car works!
I have been to this salvage yard many times over the past 10 years or more and Ed had always been great to me. They ALWAYS have whatever I've needed for my turbo Honda Civic or my CRX, or even my 4G63t powered Plymouth Colt hatchback, and it's always been at great prices no matter what my needs are. I will never forget A-1 and rest easy that no matter what your import needs are, they've got you covered. Thank you A-1! Hopefully we can do more business together in the future!
