This was the worst experience EVER with a towing company! Highway robbery! Extremely overpriced and the lady on the phone was extremely rude!! My daughter slid in a ditch on her way to school. Someone called the sheriff and he said he will call someone and have them there in 10 minutes. Not knowing, that the cost was going to be extremely overpriced, my husband who was already at work in Akron said ok. Big mistake!!! The Sheriff told my daughter to call me (her mom also at work) to call Jeswalds towing and pay them on the phone. I said ok. I call and the lady on the phone, who again is extremely rude, preceded to say it will be $262.87! I said wow I should be in the towing business (with a chuckle) and she went off on me saying I was rude (the woman obviously just has no sense of humor and clearly is miserable in her own life) then proceeded to say that she would not take my payment over the phone? Apparently because no one takes payments on the phone? (Said no one lol) I believe I make payments over the phone all the time to companies.
So she decided that I would be better off talking the OWNER of said establishment, who by the way was not much better than her, and said Walmart doesn’t take payments over the phone so neither can I, because you can dispute the charge. I told him to cancel to service and have his guy leave I will call my own tow truck. The tow driver continues to tow out my daughter from the ditch after I told them to cancel. Now I am stuck paying $262.87 for a service that I told the owner to cancel. I paid the service but I will make sure I tell as many people as I can to NEVER use them!
We were stranded on the side of the turnpike and from Jen the dispatch to Harry the driver everything was excellent. They were super fast and amazingly kind during a stressful situation.
The lady is very rude! Doesn’t get the point when someone speaks.
Told her came to pick up and she said there is money to be paid for towing asked how much money she didn’t give any exact amount stupidness! We were ready to get everything done but no her attitude was completely out of control.Calm down lady when you speak with clients!!
We were not saying it’s overpriced to her face but it is overpriced and we wanted to pay and go on our way but no they don’t tell how much money should we need to pay to get what is ours
Make sure payment is confirmed with her😂before drive to site because they don’t meet you in person so its same thing calling from home and from there lovely yard and dont go to misunderstanding, pay and don’t spend
VERY RUDE LADY!!! Came to pick up the trailer and customer service was completely terrible, from the second call she started yelling at me and hang up!! Told me leave the property funny because I came pick up something!?
All she does two thing :Sitting in front of the building and yelling people

Harry is a great guy, showed up on time good conversation, gave free advice and well spoken, I would definitely use them again! Price wasn’t outrageous either!
I had a break down on the Ohio Turnpike (Zone 7 I learned) and had a great service from Chris. He showed up well within the time they estimated.. and my guy got me hooked up and home safe and in a hurry! Chris was super friendly, we had a nice conversation during the drive and I’d recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks again Chris… Stay safe out there bud! 💪🏼😉
P.S. I would love to thank all the “negative” reviews! Like the OIL CHANGE & DISMANTLING JOB… a service they don’t offer! Or Charging $2200 for an inspection while having lunch at KFC 🙌🏼😆 And the very mean ladies that answer the phones… who just happened to be the most lovely and polite conversation I had all day, even tho I was extremely frustrated at my situation!! Some people’s kids… are just miserable at life!! 🤣. Perhaps you should 💨 and calm your nerves
Wish I could give them less than 1 star!!! I would never use this company for anything, would walk before I used them! The lady who answers the phone, I’m assuming their dispatcher has to be related to the owner because she’s the worst! Not only is she horrible at her job as far as customer service goes but she’s just a miserable human being in general! There’s so many reviews of this place over charging, keeping customers from retrieving property and just all around scamming them, I’m surprised they’re even still open for business! BBB is my next stop for this company and attorney is now involved. Take your business elsewhere!
We were coming home from a camping vacation and got a flat tire along I76. Would recommend this company if you need roadside assistance. The dispatcher was very nice and helped us efficiently even helped figure out where we were pulled over. They gave us a timeline that assistance would be there in 25 - 30 minutes, and that is exactly how long it took. I'm glad it wasn't going to be long because we had our dog with us. He got to work right away and quickly got us fixed up even though the temperature was 90°. He put our flat tire in the truck for us, and offered to help load our other items that we had to get out to get to the spare tire. Very fast and efficient excellent company.
Had a blowout on my trailer traveling through the Lordstown area on I76. AAA was zero help, so I googled 24 hour towing to get my tire changed out. Although it took an hour for them to get to me, they quickly jumped to it & got me on my way within 10 minutes once they arrived. Very thankful they were available.
Jeswald Auto provided great service when I was in a bad accident miles from home. Both drivers, Amanda in the office, and Clutch the office cat were very hospitable and even took me to a local establishment for breakfast to wait for things to get aligned.
My experience was horrible, I do not recommend it to anyone. They do not know how to treat customers. They charge a lot. The drivers are very good and very professional, but the finance people who work there are a bunch of ignorant and inhumane people who treated me like I was trash. They charged me a lot for a service that was not worth half the price, but I needed to pay, but they treated me like I was trash. I do not recommend it to anyone. The worst company on the face of the Earth.
When you have free towing through AAA but will GLADLY pay out of pocket so your car is towed safely and not bottomed out. They also have a cute shop cat. Will return just for the cat. If you could get more cats. That would be great.
This company is so amazingly friendly and punctual that I refuse to renew my $58 AAA membership. I can just call Jeswald directly and get reimbursed by my insurance who charges me $10 year roadside assistance.
Horrible company. This was my first time having to call a tow truck company andThe lady who answered the phone had an attitude, was rude and told me she didn't have time to deal with me and hung up on me. Can't believe anyone would use this company. If I could give negative stars I would. Call somewhere else. And don't waste your time.

There was no lengthy conversation, i did not call 10 pther companys. This business wanted to charged me over $260 to tow my car to a truck stop and drop it and when I questioned the cost, especially when they couldnt deliver my car to my residence. I got hung up on. And you are wronge, I already paid my toll and exited the toll road. Even your replys to negative reviews make you look like a horrible company. But you do you. I stand by my review.
They gave me a time frame between 12:45- 1:00 pm got there right at 1 and immediately got to work. Asking questions the whole time and the guy didn't stop once. Drove to the shop down the street, and he even helped me push it into the shop! Amazing service, and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a tow. 5/5 stars
Amazing service. My tire essentially exploded on the turn pike at night and they showed up so quickly. My husband had also come and had started changing the tire. Then with his lights on his car being on to light the tire change, his car battery died. Just one thing after another! I immediately called Jo back and she said, “No problem, that she’d let the driver know but not to worry.”
Harry, one of the drivers, showed up minutes later and was so helpful. He jumped my husband’s car and let it run to make sure it was good. Then he quickly finished with my tire and put on the spare. There was a fee but it was honestly nominal like less than $50 for someone to come out and help you in the dark with car problems. Then he also waited to make sure both cars drove okay.
We were so grateful and everyone was just so helpful! Thank you so much!!
Edit: I have no idea how this company has 2 stars. Disregard that and the negative reviews. I just read a ton of them, and Google shouldn't even allow half of them. They're clearly just nasty people wanting to dump their misery onto others.
I'm renting a Tesla through Uber...I live in the Pittsburgh area and was heading home from dropping a customer off in Akron and had planned to hit the Glacier Hills plaza for a charge on the way home. I'd been out all night and was so ready to just get home that I spaced out and left myself short of battery to get there. Before I could decide what I was going to do, a kind officer pulled up and called Jeswald's for me. The dispatcher Christine was kind and worked fast; and Harry pulled up to tow me within 30 minutes. Super friendly guy, knew how to handle the Tesla, we got some laughs in to bring down my blood pressure a bit!, and he delivered me and this damn car right to the charger in time to plug it in before it died completely. I spoke with Christine at 06:50 and was plugged in and charging by 08:05.
Harry was just the mood diffuser I needed and I couldn't be happier considering the situation. I highly recommend Jeswald's! Thanks again Harry!
AMAZING SERVICE!!!!!! My husband was traveling from out of state and had a tire blow out and they came to the rescue. Harry was the driver and was super nice and very professional. My husband only had to wait about 10 min. for Harry to come and help him. Harry then took my husband to a location where he could get a new tire. He was a HUGE help and made him feel safe and not have to worry about what to do in such a complicated situation.....especially for not living in that area. THANK YOU SO MUCH HARRY!!!!!!!
The gentleman that towed my van was amazing. He was very kind and helpful not only with towing my van but in finding us lodging for the night and for finding a great auto repair shop. You made a crappy day much better. Thank you! Even the dispatcher was super helpful. You guys are wonderful.
My experience with this company was amazing and would recommend them to EVERYONE! Chris is phenomenal and the ladies I talked with on the phone were kind and understanding of our situation and got Chris out to us as soon as possible.
Do not let the low stars deter you from using this company. One disgruntled customer and them spamming or “canceling” this company with negative reviews should not impact your decision to use Jeswalds. They were the only company in the area that would help me.
Our car started losing power on the Turnpike in the early morning (0600) I had enough control to get off at exit 218 and park alongside the empty toll plaza before the car died. Hyundai and Progressive Roadside assistance both would not assist us after finding out I’m hauling a trailer. I called other local tow companies but no one would help us because it was a tandem tow. But Jeswald did! Chris is the angel that showed up and got us out of the freezing cold after sitting there for 2 hours in 30-40 degree weather.
If I ever need help again Jeswalds will be my FIRST and ONLY call!

Attention to detail in every tow I've called them on. Amanda and Sami in the office, are very professional, and take care when I've had to call in. No joking. It's been well over 250 tows spanning 10+ years! Every driver, Paul, Harry, Tommy, Chris, Tony, and others have been great! Absolutely, no doubt I will continue calling whenever the need arises.
Disregard the negative reviews. The crew at Jeswald is great, from the young ladies that answered the phone and set the service up to the driver, great and accommodating people. Had to be towed 50 plus miles and the price I was quoted was the price I paid. FYI, had to get my box trucked towed to the Freightliner dealer. It sucks that I had to get this service and pay what I did, but the ride was enjoyable chatting with the driver. 👍👍👍👍
While dealing with this vendor, i spoke with two, maybe three people. The one that answers the phone was very rude. While discussing the invoice and our payment options ( invoice was over $10,000), the person said we had to over night a check to them. I told them that I know it sounds simple to send $10k over night but that is a lot of money and we needed to some time to work that out. The person became genuinely offended, called me rude for daring to say their invoice total was a lot of money and transferred me to someone else.
Later on, when it came time to get everything recovered i called to make sure everything was good to go once the money was received. I was rushed off the phone and told to communicate strictly via email. Personally, when I am being billed $120 per day for storage, leaving communication strictly to email makes me nervous. I will say they responded after a few follow emails and the recovery seemed to go as planned.
They will bill you if you have insurance, a driver, or a company representative come by to inspect equipment. We received multiple $50-$150 charges because people wanted to check out the equipment. A driver wanted some personal items from the truck, $150 just to walk him back there. They charge a 15% admin fee which I feel is a bit crazy.
I will be fair though, $550 per hour for a heavy duty rotator is great pricing. At an individual level, their pricing is fair. However, they will add on every possible charge to bump the total price up. They are "WreckMaster Certified". If you're in the business you know this bumps the "Scene Supervisor" rates up substantially. We paid $85 for them to use their cut off saw and $65 for a gas powered blower.... Again, the cost for their actual recovery equipment is fair, that should be noted.
I know this will trigger a response from them as they seem to respond to every negative comment. They will say we were difficult because we called them multiple times asking for the same info. That is true, but we are also a customer looking to recover hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and freight. At no point were we rude or demanded anything. We were told we needed to work within their guidelines and we did. I want to be clear in that this is not a hit piece on them. I am simply sharing my experiences dealing with this tow vendor.
I brought the car for a technical inspection, the whole side of the car was scratched during transportation
and they also tried to charge me an extra $ 2,200 for an unnecessary interior inspection
I didn't have to wait long, Harry and Jo was so caring and nice. They pinged my phone and made it so much easier to get off the side of the road. The price was equivalent to other companies. I knew immediately that my car was in good hands.
Price didn't matter to me today. I just wanted off the road. And Jeswalds did just that within 15 minutes even with dealing with issues locating me due to my own fault. 10/10 I will use them again if needed.
Also please take notice when looking into the reviews, the one stars clearly are not local and I highly doubt they ever received service.
Surprised to see the negative reviews. I believe the driver's name we had was Chris and he really helped us out. He brought us coolant and then when that didn't work because we apparently had a leak in the radiator, he towed the vehicle for us. I felt like the price was very reasonable and he was very nice and, in my opinion, went above and beyond in making sure we were squared away before he left. He must have a tough job dealing with stressed out and stranded motorists, but he was so relaxed and positive. I would definitely use this service again!
