2/24/24 Placed order 1583 (complete wiring harness 1675.00)
5/14/24 Received email 3 month delay do to back order
6/23/24 Received email stating 3 month delay
10/16/24 Order Shipped and received on 10/23/24
2/16 I initiated install and sent Zack messages that the harness connections were incorrect for power seats/windows/locks
2/25/25 Zack acknowledges the harness connections are in fact incorrect and sends me a tutorial on how to open the harness and redirect circuits.
I communicated to Zack I had to hire help in order to trouble shoot his product and found the connections that needed to be replaced. (3-way 56 series connection for power seats had an orange wire that only supplied power when the light switch was activated)
I paid 200.00 to get to this point and paid an additional 300.00 to have the harness redone and also had a thicker fusebox ground wire installed to accommodate for the seats, windows.
Zack then sent a message 3/3/2024 asking if I just wanted 200.00 back to which I stated yes to but also explained at this point I have 500.00 in trouble shooting his product. Zack then responded that he didn't offer 200.00 but was merely asking to see what I was thinking.
This is the fourth harness I have purchased from Z&M Jeeps and will be the last. Zack is nearly impossible to make contact with and needles to say his products are not of quality I would expect. The other 3 harnesses I have purchased have not had power seats,windows.
This harness may have worked in a Jeep without power seats / windows but not in 1982 SJ.
In addition the headlight black wires had to be reversed as well as they were incorrect.
Update 3/11/2025 ordered and installed new fan switch. wires are backwards as you turn the fan on low fan runs at medium , meduim runs at low and high fan is actually correct. 2 out 3 ain't bad ...
Ordered a dash harness and engine harness for a J 10. ($$$)
Engine harness was for a V-8 not a straight six, so had to be modified.
Dash harness, which the owner helped me pick out, was the incorrect one and didn't hook up to everything that I needed.
Six months later, I still have a vehicle that doesn't run and a harness with left over pigtails that don't plug into anything.
This project is now costing me triple the amount I budgeted, because I have to take it to a shop to get fixed.
Not a plug and play.
Not recommended.
Zach has an excellent knowledge base and the place is old school for us old jeepsters. He lets you look around and works in the industry and on jeeps.
