I've never seen a used car dealership set up like this. Very clean and welcoming. I texted and talked to them several times before going. My truck I had, the frame was too bad to save, so I went to Ironton from Saint Albans WV. Walked out owning a very nice F150. I've been driving it for two months and everything works, nothing I have found is wrong. They kept it a few days and went over it and made small repairs before delivering it to my home. I had the option to bring it home, then take it back, but chose not to. The only thing is buying out of state the title change took a little longer than was comfortable, but that is not on them. It's all legal now. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a used vehicle.
My sales rep. JOSH ROGERS was very helpful in finding me a vehicle that worked for my budget and a suv that we needed to get my daughter back and forth to children's hospital in Columbus. JOSH went far n beyond in answering all of my questions. If he didn't no he would tell me he didnt no n would find out for me. I bought a used Suv n it had a few things I seen that was wrong with it. But they agreed to fix what need to be fixed when I signed the paperwork. They whole crew was nice n very helpful. From Josh to the guys that do the paperwork n take your down payment n like I said they put my payment lower were I told them I needed it. I'm very grateful ? for that. I'm here now getting the things that needed fixed. So as far as im concern if u need a used vehicle n they have what u are looking for they will do what they can to help in any way. We went to ironton automotive and we was put into a car they said was just serviced and all this BS amd they took an hour to jump it and get it started and when we left the car lot I stopped below them at a gas station and had to put a quart of oil into the car and the break fluid chamber was empty so bad it took a whole bottle and they took the car in the garage before we left to fix said 1 code on the computer and cut the oxygen sensor into two pieces and put the new one in the console an said I could change it . Well we told them not long after buying it that it was acting up bad and had lot things wrong with it and we needed it fixed will Tiffany kept saying bring it in and we kept telling them it wouldn't make it .mind you we was also told they was no recalls but look up recalls on a 2013 kia optima ex on Google and anyone can see it has two recalls one for wiring harness catching afire and the other was the engine was designed wrong and needed swapped out cause the original engines would wear the bearings and lock up or throw a rod out the engine but either way the motor was blown..she wouldn't send anyone to get the car and said for us to bring it in well after the engine seized up they came got it then and didn't call is or update us on what was going on with it or what they was going to do. Well today I called and she wanted me to pay payments on a car they wouldn't work on and lied about the mileage saying we put 6000 miles on it so they running speedometers back and up I guess so to trick people and then I told her I had the money and would give right to her the payment if they fix my car and or give me a different car cause they have made us do without a ride and never would call is back and kept making excuses amd then she got smart about the car and said I'll just put it down as a repo.well I also did as I said I am going to do and that was get a attorney about the deal. So she thinks she higher than god in heaven and
All that and a bag of chips but believe me in Jesus name she will regret it all and I got a Jesus who said vengeance is his this sayeth the lord . But the message is simple people don't trust all the kindness and all this oh we got ya cause yeah you will regret buying from Ironton automotive in Ironton Ohio
I did originally write a very good review, but at the time I had nothing bad to say about this place, but I feel like I should put this out there for anybody that is deciding on if they are gonna buy from this place. when I first came in people were very nice The financing process wasn’t super long. But after two weeks is when everything went downhill, I later went to go get my oil changed and found out that my turbo was going out in my car. I had just purchased this car so me and my parents had gone Back down to the dealership to try and sort things out they offered to Take it in Inspected it, it was a Thursday afternoon the mechanics Had all left so we thought nothing of it but we waited until Monday when they said they would pull it in the next day and give us a call same day and let us know what was wrong with it. Monday rolls around and we call asking for anything they said they still had not pulled it in to look at it after that a week goes by and we still have not heard anything. I call back in and find out that they had finally just pulled it in and that it was the turbo, but they didn’t seem to care enough to reach out and let us know. This process began to go back-and-forth for three weeks Every time we needed an update we either had to call them or go down to the actual store just to figure out what was going on.The first time that we went down there, we talked to one of the service gentlemen named John He was very nice very thorough. He was probably one of the only ones that actually gave us an update on what was going on. He kept me in the loop almost all the time once he found out what was going on. It felt like every time we try to go down there the salesman that sold me, my car was dodging us every time we pulled up he went inside or walked away from the conversation. My tags ended up also going expired while in the shop and we couldn’t get them registered because we still had not received our title almost 4 weeks after getting the car if not longer when we asked about it, they said that if we wanted a temporary tag we would have to go through the whole process of having to get another one. And finally got the call that my car was finally done so me and my parents all went down there together and got my vehicle And then finally proceeded to get a printed out copy of my title so I could register the vehicle. overall just a very overwhelming and unnecessarily drawn out procedure.
Nick was such a wonderful salesman’s and did everything he could to put me in my suv. Thanks so much Nick and we will send me more people your way. I would recommend going to see him..
Zack is very honest, upfront and reasonable very down to earth and that is rare in this industry!! Joe is Awesome and truly did some magic to get me into a nice vehicle! I can't put into words how greatful I am for these 2!! They really helped me without judgement and they both was extremely helpful! 5 stars for above and beyond experience I highly recommend checking them out!!
Keith made the buying a car experience very easy. I absolutely love my new ride and could’ve have asked for better communication and understanding from him. He’s an outstanding salesman and made what is normally a stressful situation for me anxiety free.

I submitted all of my info online, but still had to show up to verify info... 4stars. I was early for my appointment, salesman Zack was eight minutes late...3stars. Sat around until 9:40 and told him to let me know what the terms are, I had to go. No word from him so I call at 12:30 and he cops an attitude with me about how he already had an approval, but apparently I had to be present to discuss terms...2stars. His GM called me and when i question why i need to be present to discuss terms I am met with more hostility and attitude... 1star.
Is it unreasonable to request a vehicle buying process to be more user-friendly? I dont need your car, I like the one I have--yours would have been a nice addition, but not for this aggravation. Wow...
Jerk salesman. Outright rude remarks toward my family for the 5 minutes we talked to him. Would have been better if he didn't come out at all. $11k for a rusted ranger with a flat tire. Not sure the salesman's name, didn't even introduce himself. Someone must have peed in his cereal lol. Avoid if your looking for a good experience.
Went here yesterday after doing about a month of research on dealerships and cars. I had Nick Hamm as my salesperson and they were nothing short of amazing. I told Nick if they ever left that dealership I'd follow. I wasnt pushed into something I couldn't afford and they even handled my MASSIVE crash out at my previous loan company. They never made me feel like anything less than the top priority. I will absolutely being doing business here again.
Zack was my sales person there and he was amazing like I went up there three different times and the first two times was not a great experience but the manager there reached out to me and apologized and was really amazing so I decided to give them a third chance that’s when Zack was my salesman this time and between him and the manager there they were great they were patient. They worked with me and got me in a car that I really wanted absolutely amazing car I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I got a. 2018 Hyundai Sonata and I absolutely love my vehicle
I was very upset watching someone who was so excited about your establishment once he went thru the whole pre approval process on a certain vehicle and was told "great news your approved" over the phone and also told "just come down and we will finish your paperwork" and what items to bring. Once he took off work early to do this the whole story changed and he could get most anything on the lot except the vehicle he came for and thought he was approved for since that is what he was told. To watch the excitement turn to total disappointment and embarrassment was too much to bare. Shame on you and your shady business practices. If you cannot get someone the vehicle they want then be straight forward instead of wasting their time by building them up and LYING to them.
I had the absolute best experience here! My sales person was James Gumbert. He was so sweet and helpful!!! Found us the cutest car and walked us through great financing!

( I am a crazy customer) I purchased the vehicle and they delivered it to my house in Georgia 2 days after the purchase. One of the best buying experiences at Hometown CPO. Michael Thompson is top notch in customer service and overall was a pleasure having him as our salesman. The whole buying process was fairly quick and straight forward. No matter where you go to buy a vehicle, you will always see some bad reviews, but you take a chance buying used as they all can’t be perfect. Always do your research and check out the vehicle. Would recommend Michael Thompson and staff when looking for a vehicle.
