Crowded on Friday night because of Lent, but they handled the crowd well. Fish and shrimp both were excellent! Service was good. Best fish I've had in a long time.
Excellent fish dinner (nuggets) and tartar sauce! Their hot slaw is amazing, as is their beer cheese Mac n cheese.
Updated (February 2026) - Although this fishettes are very tasty, the price increase from $20 to now $25 for a few broken up nuggets of fish that can’t be sold otherwise (as they’re pieces that have fallen apart from the cod filet) is astronomical. I haven’t been back since, and I used to go weekly at minimum.
This used to be my favorite place to eat and the food was fantastic and decently priced don't get me wrong the fish sandwich is still amazing but recently there was a 33% increase on the food which there is a note about that going in the door and the chicken wings have changed they're no longer as big as they used to be. I can understand changing the price a little bit but 33% I have to put a question mark at that????? If you're going to do a 33% increase on the food why not keep the same food you really need to bring the chicken wings back. My husband and I were in there we ordered a fish sandwich basket and was charged over $20 for just a fish sandwich r fries were not good at all. We were charged over $20 for 12 chicken wings that weren't as big as your thumb. If you're willing to pay the price it's a great place to eat. Please don't change the food. Please go back to the chicken wings that you once had. The coleslaw is something that I love there also but with this being said when I ate there this previous week the coleslaw was not fresh at all. It tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for about 2 days. We ordered the fish basket combo and the fries were terrible we ordered a grilled cheese and 12 chicken wings and two waters and one mixed drink the bill was $60 by the time we left the tip it was $70.
I work right down the street and today was the first time I have eaten here. The cod nugget basket was amazing and the peanut slaw just topped it off! One of my favs and will be back again for sure!
Great fish and tartar. The jalapeno poppers are amazing and the peanut cole slaw threw me off but when I tried it .... damn so good haha great atmosphere must try place with great food and service
We came in about 20mins before closing. Friendliest bartender and very welcoming. Must try the burger and fish. Heard the meatloaf was out of the park!
The place has been renovated and it has a great feel. The fish is amazing and the mushroom appetizer is the best I've ever had and that's not an exaggeration.
This place has the best food no matter what you pick. My all time favorite item is their Peanut Coleslaw. It's a must try if you happen to go there. They have parking right in front of the building and a gravel parking lot across the street so there's ample parking. We like to take a Sunday ride on our motorcycles using back roads. Approximately an hour ride from our home.
Found this awesome establishment with agoole map search and very pleased with how frieldy the staff we're very clean tavern style with a gream menu and daily lunch specials which i ordered and attached the photos-$9.95 for a huge piece of meatloaf served with greenbeans,mashed potatoes and gavy with a roll.
You can't beat this special and the friendly staff and locals either and will be back whenever in the area for sure.
Fantastic local small business. Wife was looking for a place to eat seafood for good Friday and found this place. We're always on the lookout for local restaurants rather than chain restaurants. This place did not disappoint. Our server was fantastic and super friendly. Think we waited 10 min after placing our order before it was on the table in front of us. Also, there is no shortage on the portions. Food was delicious and far better than any chain place. 10/10 recommend. We will be back at some point to try their regular menu since they had their lent menu tonight.
Nice baked cod, crazy busy Friday's during lent. The only slaw better than their peanut slaw is the Hot Slaw. Nice clean restaurant, hidden gem for sure.
Went with my buddy for dinner. I had the double half pound burger with bacon. My buddy got the jalapeno poppers and the fish nuggets basket. I'd give the burger a 6/10. They tasted like bulk-order frozen patties but were grilled well, just not seasoned. The bun was really good, but you tasted it more than you could the burger. My buddy had the fish nuggets, and they were damn delicious. I'd give them a 7.8/10. The jalapeno poppers were also really good; 8/10.
The food was excellent, prices seemed on point, for what you got. Taste was really exceptional. The owner came out to say hi. She knew one of our group of guys that went with us. Kinda like a bar, restaurant, with a family feel. Darts, bar, plenty of room & parking, cars families, and motorcycles outside, ships and different things as decor. Really a hidden gem. Try it out.
Amber A was a terrific server. We had bloody Marys which were well made. She made certain that we had plenty to drink and our meals were as ordered. The hot slaw was very savory and the peanut slaw had a great taste and crunch. The cod logs were cooked well and flaky. Very nice meal. For a Friday dinner time, it was busy and there was a very small wait for a table.
Small town local feel with great food. Fish sandwich was excellent but fishette nuggets steal the show! Turkey club is served on a bun not bread but was great.. Salad was fresh and huge! We ordered it as a side and it was large enough to easily be shared by the table of 4.. Service was friendly and fast.
Good food. Beer cheese and macaroni was definitely something we weren't expecting. The kids really liked it. There were 5 of us, so it did take a while for the food to come. But everything was hot. The grilled Cajun chicken sandwich was great. Fish chunks were really good too.
Started with the cheese sticks (they were wedges actually but we loved them. I got the cod basket and it was really good and fresh! It's a nice sized piece. Coleslaw was ?. Server was great. Place is adorable.
