They like to rob people literally when my boyfriend wrecked our jeep liberty flipped on its side they tried to charge $190 to flip it back up right $175 to tow it to their shop and another $175 to tow it to my house. the 175 i totally understand but $190 to flip it off it's side I've never heard that before. Then when I said can I grab my belongings out of the jeep they said pay or sign your title over to us so I go get the title to sign it over to them and they still wanted $190 plus my title!!! Wouldn't even release my house keys and keys to my other vehicles!!! This is 100% illegal!! After I called 3 other tow recovery services I had to call forest park police dept. To get my belongings out of my jeep! They try to get every dollar possible out of people who just lost there vehicles and possibly hurt themselves or others in wrecks! People that have just been traumatized and you want to basically drain their bank accounts too! Pathetic greedy business!! 0 out of 10 would not recommend. And they made a girl myself clean out a work jeep wouldn't even let my boyfriend get all his work tools they were so mad they had to give us back OUR personal belongings they made a woman load heavy tools out while my boyfriend was locked out of the gate and he had to watch me!! I've never in my life dealt with such horrible greedy people!! Of you sign or vehicles title to a tow yard it is illegal for them to keep your property. I never did get my license plate either something I could've transferred to another vehicle when I get one. That's just me spending more money. The lady at the front desk laughed at me and said it's not my fault you wrecked your car! (Like accidents don't happwn all thw time.) Well no shit lady but you are literally trying to make a persons life worse buy charging them $600 to get what is rightfully your own stuff! I'm just so flabbergasted at the whole situation on how they handled everything. This is the worst tow yard I've ever experienced in 40 years! It's entitlement, Greedy and flat out highway robbery!! I have never had to call the police on a tow yard!! That is just sio insane to me! Please beware of this business I'm warning you!! They want as much money as they can possibly get out of you and to straight take advantage of you in a bad and tramatic situation!! Flat out!
I wish they would let you rank businesses in the negative or at least 0! I would never ever use engles towing on Springdale road. And you shouldn't either!!!
We were in a terrible accident during the snow storm a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, our car was towed here. Not only did we have to pay hundreds of dollars for the tow, to get my car out, we had to pay the daily fee, plus a $75 “recovery fee”. When I asked what this was, she stated because our car was touching the wall. It absolutely was not. Secondly, I went to pay with my debit card and she informs me there’s a card fee of $8 and some change. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Taking advantage of people who could’ve lost their lives, lost their car, and you nickel and dime us. I hope you feel great about how you handle your business. I will be requesting my $75 back as no, our car was not touching the wall.
Very shady business. My son was in an accident and Colerain police had his car towed to Engels,I called and asked how much does he owe and was given a price of $210.00 plus tax, after the poor elderly couple tried 7 different times using 2 different adding machines coming up with a different total each time, I was told it would be $435.00 to recover a totaled car. When I refused to pay that much they were more than happy to drop it to $200 if we signed over the title. Holding my son's belongings inside the car as ransom. Thievery at its finest.
Driver's shouldn't speed and blow stop signs on residential streets. Today, 5:55 PM newer clean red rollback, I think Ford F650 or so. Probably 40 MPH in a 25. Nandale Dr and Barjo Ln.
Was very easy to set up appointment. Nice and polite staff very knowledgeable of area and price was very fair. I will use them again if needed and even if I wasn't here I'd still try depending how far I am cause this place keeps there word on price and doesn't haggle or try and trick you. Def amazing well run tow company!
I have used Engels auto service for over 30 years. Jim Engel has always been extremely honest and fair priced with me and everyone that I have recommended to his shop. i have had bodywork, towing and auto repair to many cars and trucks over the years and if there was an issue I found Jim always willing to make things right.
My vehicle was involved in an accident. (not my fault). I asked that my trailer with my lawn mowers be towed to my house. Instead, they forced my trailer and lawnmowers to their lot instead. Owner said that the cops told him to take it to the garage and in the same sentence said it was because they only brought one truck. I couldnt get the trailer out due to funds being unavailable. I ended up getting it 8 days later with a charge of $470. I would have been okay paying a tow fee IF they took it to my garage like I requested. These people were very rude and nasty, even telling me to shut up. I recorded the interaction and will blast this nasty rude company. This was all in an attempt at a money grab. They dont even deserve the one star im forced to give. These people are thieves and crooks. DO NOT TRUST THESE NASTY THIEVES AND SCAM ARTIST>
Needed a tow truck, they were very quick to get to me, quickly got me loaded up and on the way to the mechanic. Very friendly and reasonably priced. They don't do mechanical repairs anymore and very little body shop work.
We had incident in Ohio and they have 1 employed whom hated me and my husband for no reason and treated us as such and even when given legal clearence would not let us even get property out of car even though he let everyone else ..terrible terrible the other staff however were helpful it just sucked that we had to go and run around until the dude that hated us left so the other employees can actually let us go get our stuff he has costed us most money I've ever spent in a situation a car and everything because he has passed judgment.
My family and I have taken several different vehicles to Engel's for various services over the years. They're always friendly and professional and they always do top notch work at a great price. I recently had some pretty bad scratches on my car fixed/repainted and the color and finish looks flawless. They've got a customer for life!
My vehicle needed to be towed they showed up in less than 10 minutes. Estimate done and sent to insurance company within 24 business hours. Engel's awesome as usual! They have always been efficient with superior work and very kind to me Everytime I have used their services. Thank you!
I wasn't too happy that my grandsons car broke down, and Colerain called Engles to tow and store it. Our insurance could not get there in time so he was out of luck.
Unfortunatly my wife and I were out of town and we knew nothing of this until later in the week.
I could have had my insurance company tow it out of there but thats what happens when your not there to deal with it.
But, we got it squared away and I think we are both happy with how it turned out.
Car Was Inpounded Saturday Afternoon A Friend Barrowed It To Go Fishing They Were Attested Van Was Towed Now Engles Towing Tried To Charge Me An Extra $50 For Storage When Hamilton County Property Room Is Not Open On Weekends & The Van Was Not Stored At Hamilton County Headquarters.... I Ask The Lady At Released The Van About That & The Told Me They Could Not So When I Went To Get The Van I Very Politely Ask About That & Told Them The Sheriff's Office Advised Me On The Matter All Of A Suden It The Bill Was Tow Charge & Tax With That Information It Saved Me $65.00 So Don't Let Them Take Advantage Of You
My parents went to Engels since I was a little squirt (I'm now 58) and I've been going there most of my life. I have NEVER heard anyone be rude or heard of/seen anyone get ripped off or treated poorly. I'd recomend them to anyone. Those of you who have accused them of ugly stuff had poop in you're cereal or took a super strong nasty pill that day and left out the part that you did wrong. Be honest folks.
I went here and was friendly and kind to the man, and he was extremely rude to me. He told me that there was nothing he could do and left me no options. As I was walking out the door to find somewhere else with better service, I heard him tell his co-worker, "what a piece of [bleep]"
They put a big dent and scratch down the. Side of my car when the owner came to me. He was very hateful told me it was like that as the trim piece lay there on the ground. Said if i sign the title over he would give me my money back. If you work hard for you money like i have to. Dont do business with them. Its a shame how they treat people. On way home told a store clerk what happened before i got done he said the name of the company. Without being told. Dont give them your money please.
