Better than expected prices and I had some items they wouldn't take but they explained why they wouldn't take them and what I can do to make those items profitable
I have had such a great experience with this recycling center. Not to mention their parking lot is always clean! So no flat tires! They're very courteous and friendly! You pull up and they come out and help you immediately! In and out quick! Definitely recommend!
Cannot recommend Compton Recycling enough. I had a bunch of leftover car parts I needed to get rid of, so I brought them up here after a friend told me about how great they were to deal with. I pulled in the lot and before I was able to even get up to the front entrance, someone was already out there ready to help me. Prices were great and the people there are kind and more than helpful and made the whole experience a breeze. I will for sure be back and recommending it to everyone I know!
I had some wire for my kids to strip coating off of and then when we were done I weighed it on bathroom scale twice came up with 19lbs call Compton recycling and they said it was #1copper go down there and they weighed it and only paid 20 dollars. SO ANYONE THAT TAKES SOMETHING DOWN THERE BEWARE THEY WILL ROB YOU
I took 65 lbs of clean, crushed, bagged aluminum cans here yesterday. They unloaded from my car and weighed them in a flash. My only gripe is the price - 25¢ a pound - when I see online prices elsewhere are higher, some much so.
Worst place I've ever been to take recyclable materials. When they first started, they used to let you see the scale readout, for how many pounds of cans you collected. Then, it was not long before they hid the display. Not long after that, I took a load of cans there, where I already knew what they weighed. Their "measure" of the batch's weight was about 20 pounds less than what I knew it to weigh. When I pointed this out, they said "take your cans somewhere else". I did, and I hope everyone who goes there does the same.
I had three things and I now what they are my company use it all over our stores and they try to tell me it was not worth nothing but they would gladly just take it for me. Ya that because it is worth something they just did not want to give me the money for it.
