They closes at 11. Not 11:30 Was there at 11:05 was turned away. I know it was a sat. I live over a hour away. And this was the close to my job. Could have been unload myself in less the 5 mins. If ur ur hours say ur open till 11:30 u take customers up to close time. Just my thought. Lady at the office nice. But I won't be back.
This is the best recycling facility I have been to in 25 years of selling scrap metal. Best pricing in the Cincinnati area. The staff is really friendly and very helpful.
Nice people very safe here and in and out in a timely manner! For truck drivers picking up load, you must weigh your load before and after loading. They will have someone come out and weigh you in and out.
Went to Hirschbergs today with a load of copper and brass and radiators. They gave excellent price pay out!! Has to be the best scrap yard around hands down. Friendly staff, easy unloading. I won't go anywhere else , and I highly recommend using hirschbergs recycling!!!
First time I've sold anything to a scrap yard and after doing just a minimum amount of research I went here and discovered that after the initial confusion of where to go once I arrived and who to contact. For me it was pretty confusing but after sitting patiently waiting in what I was hoping was the line to get in, I was greeted pleasantly and told to pull all the way forward. Now this was cool with me but if a person wasn't a very good driver, they might have some difficulty maneuvering around the forklifts and parked trucks and staying in between the piles of scrap on both sides of the driveway. But for me it wasn't an issue. Then once I figured out where to park and who to see, things got a lot easier. Once I was at the scale with the gentleman helping me, I was able to ask any questions I had and didn't feel rushed whatsoever. He took the time to stop and explain and physically show me examples of different types of material and reasons why they pay differently for different grades of metals. All in all, I feel I was paid the highest amount possible and from the calls around they paid the best out of any other yard between Dayton and Cincinnati. I was very pleased with my first experience selling scrap metal and would happily recommend these people to everyone. Thanks guys for making a stressful experience very pleasant. See you again the next time I have any extra scrap to sell.
Took in 4 big bags of cans and only got $$7.40. Had 20 pounds for there 30 cent a pound. No wonder they are still in business. Missing California, I would of gotten around $40.
They buy anything metal. Also sell; cut metal to order. Metal yard figures. Breaker's and electric control's, bolts screws and connectors, and literally tons of other stuff.
Best prices I’ve found on steel and aluminum locally. They aren’t out to screw the little guy and treat everyone fairly. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will continue to be a loyal customer

They were very accommodating when we purchased a cardboard baler from them. It took us a little bit to find a trucking company to pick up the baler but they were wonderful and willing to work with us while there was a delay. They are excellent with communication and very friendly. We would love to work with them again.
I was completely impressed! I went looking for a used I-beam and I wasn't sure how friendly they'd be. WOW! Everyone I dealt with was more than pleasant, which is a huge contrast from most scrap yards I've been to. They had the beam I needed, drug it out of the pile, cut it to length, and loaded me up! I will definitely be back.
Extremely well operated and efficient. More than fair weather you are buying or selling. Their is a reason they have been in business over a hundred years. Great people to deal with!
Great staff and great prices. They make it very easy on the customer and help the customer get the most out of their scrap.
