I am writing this review to express my disappointment with the lack of follow-through on a promise made by BlueScope Recycling and Materials. They caused damage to one of our trailer while unloading it. Initially, they assured us that they would cover the costs of the repairs, but regrettably, they failed to keep their word. When our driver witnessed the damage, he immediately reported the incident. Their representative acknowledged their responsibility and assured us that they would take care of the necessary repairs and gave him contact information of their supervisor Jeff Popovich once we know how much it would cost to repair the damage to let him know so they can reimburse us. We did as instructed, however, as time went on, it became evident that their promise was nothing more than empty words. After two weeks of numerous attempts to follow up via phone and emails and seek resolution, we got an email stating that they concluded they didn't damage our trailer. It is disheartening to see a company that initially appeared to be professional and accountable fail to live up to their commitments. Not only did BlueScope Recycling and Materials fail to fulfill their promise, but they also demonstrated a lack of communication and transparency throughout the process. We were left in the dark, constantly having to chase them for updates and clarification. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is deeply disappointing. As a result of their unfulfilled promise, we were forced to bear the financial burden of repairing the damage ourselves. We trusted BlueScope Recycling and Materials to handle our trailer with care, and their failure to take responsibility for their actions has left us feeling let down and taken advantage of. In conclusion, I cannot recommend BlueScope Recycling and Materials based on our experience. Their failure to honor their commitment to cover the damage they caused to our trailer, coupled with their lack of communication and accountability, has left us deeply dissatisfied. It is my hope that this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering their services.
No complaints, sometimes there’s a long wait but that can’t be helped if there’s a lot of trucks that show up around the same time. As for the ones who did leave complaints.
1.) ALL scrap yards have the same sign and the same risk of damage to your tires (grow up)
2.) The place doesn’t catch fire anymore then other big scrap yards do, and complaining they do it too often and essentially blaming them as if they set the fire themselves is incredibly childish on your part! They don’t want to catch fire, and try their hardest to avoid it but accidents happen Yeesh….
3.) You’re complaining they won’t take local scrap, really?! They’re not here to serve you or give you money. Go find a smaller scrapyard ffs!
Staff was nice. They opened the scale at 6 am and will empty you pretty much straight away after following the early morning line for scaling and paperwork (at same window). It took me 5 mins to cross the scale and 1 min to a dock and another 5 mins to unload. They start unloading me as soon as I backed up. Roads were clean inside from any anti tire stuff.
Dunno what the other driver meant? This place is wide open, fast and nice people.. they took me right back to the dock.. very safety oriented so high vis and hardhat when out of the truck.. easy delivery
best recycling place I've ever been. very nice ladies in the scale house and the yard guy was very helpful on where to dump and directions through out the place.
This place needs to get their act together. Two large fires in six months that spread poison to my home in Michigan. Unacceptable. Standards and behavior need to change drastically. Our schools had to keep kids indoors for recess because the air outside contained ridiculous levels of contaminants from this place. The fumes made it to AT LEAST as Notth as Oakland County, Michigan.
Great employees working this location,, from scale house to crane operators to yard guides,, all are friendly and quick to keep the trucks moving...!... great job..!
Had my tire cut damaged and replaced from the pieces of metal scraps all over the yard. Yes i saw the "not responsible" sign at the gate, looks like it happens often ,so be aware!
