Gary is a predator. I took my Jeep in to have him test drive it and on that test drive I had mentioned a small trip I was going to take to a concert venue of sorts. He took it upon himself to reach his hand in my shirt on that drive and fondle me as we drove. I stayed quiet, I took my business elsewhere but I can't stay quiet any longer. I wouldn't trust any woman around him. If its happened to me, its happened to others as well. I've heard stories of others being creeped out by his behavior, offers of "working something out" when some can't afford the overpriced work he does on their vehicles. Predatorial behavior at its finest.
Great customer service. I destroyed a tire on highway 24 on a trailer and was limping into a hardware store to buy a jack and drove past and saw their shop and stopped, and they jumped right in to help me like and Indy pit crew and had me back on the road fast and at a fair price. Family owned business! You don't get this kind of service at the big box stores. Very nice people.
So amazing I will come back here for any auto repair. I thought it was one issue with my swaybar bushings was not Mr. Gary did not charge me for looking at my car and then squeezed me in to get the actual repair done.
Plus, did not charge me an arm and a leg amazing person thank you
I was recommended to go to this place. Gary is very kind and helpful BUT is absolutely ? overworked. He takes on too much work. Paid a TON of money to have new tires put on my car but found out a slew of other issues were going on that he never brought up! Had to take my money to a trusted car shop 45 mins away, have emails to prove this. Look at the reviews before ever trusting any mechanic that you don't know! The BBB will hear from me regarding this shop.
Worst experience of my life!!! Gary took in the car and had it for over a week for spark plugs. Gary did not call to give an estimate or ask permission to work on the car. I tried to reach him several times to check on the vehicle. He just replaced the spark plugs-with the wrong plugs- and charged $500 for spark plugs!!!! What a rip-off. Total jerk and awful to deal with. Everyone I talk to says that they have never heard of such a ridiculous price and customer service. I would have been better to pay dealer prices. I will NEVER go back and don't recommend Gary's to anyone that values their money.

Gary's Auto has always done a fabulous job to my vehicle he always test drives and finds the answer to how to fix my truck always courteous and friendly and does his work in a timely manner also his prices are pretty fair I would highly recommend others to check Gary's Auto repair shop

We came Defiance from Youngstown to pick up a a few things and had our passenger side bearing go out. I called Gary's Auto and asked if they could get us in because we had a 3 and a half hour ride ahead of us. They got us in immediately and we were on the road in about an hour. Thank you so much!
I cannot complain, one bit. I had never done business here until recently, and did based off of a recommendation from a co-worker. I never even met "Gary" personally, as our hours didn't exactly match up. But the entire operation, was very open, honest, and fair. I would recommend. The shop was full of cars too, when I picked mine up. There is probably a reason so many people come here
Stopped in a few months back to have them install 4 used tires for winter on my existing rims. They were able to get me in quickly. They were friendly and accommodating. Prices were pretty reasonable, cheaper than Walmart even. Good local shop to have as an option.
As a former Mechanic I appreciate Gary being honest. I have one suggestion for anyone wanting to get your vehicle repaired at Gary's Shop. Make an appointment because Gary is so busy if you go without an appointment you could wait several days to get your vehicle back.
This is the only place I'll go to for major auto repairs. Gary gets the job done is a reasonable amount of time, but the best part is the price. I've saved hundreds by going here for brake repair, check engine lights, etc.
