I am dismayed on the negative reviews .
I have been coming to this scarp yard for over 30 years. They are always upfront with the value. Over the years I have watched the owner graciously handle customers coming in with extremely unrealistic expectations on the value of their scrap. The owner always throughly explains the true value in a pleasant and professional manner and gives the customer the option to go elsewhere if they feel they could truly get more.
I took a boat load of scrap there on sunday and they ripped me off! Copper, Brass, 200 lbs of steel, 2 ac units, etc. they gave me no reciepit, no totals of my weights. they gave me a whole $20. if you value your hard work go anywhere else
I know for a fact we got cheated on our price know for a fact if I would have waited until Monday and went where I always go I would have got more for the load we took was as big as we take there and got at least 20 or more less will not be going back even if I'm broke .NO you don't even show paper work at all didn't get to see our weight or receipt
I do a lot of scrap copper amd usually go to Elyria. But since its the only one opened sunday i tried it out.... I KNOW i got ripped off the amount i brought in id usually get about $400-500 i only got $210. Terrible.
I've never been ripped off this bad at a scrapyard. Just over 2lbs aluminum, a pound of copper and 4lbs of brass. The guy mixes my stuff with everything else so I can't get it back then goes in the office and gives me $2.25!!!!
The brass alone was worth more. I'll definitely be taking the rest of my scrap to mcmahons monday morning.
I have been going there for over 30 years! They are always very friendly and happy to see an old time returning customer. As a matter of fact my son goes there to scrap stuff too.

40 cents. Full size Chevy truck. With gutters and siding. He said it. Weighed 100 pnds. Come on it was over400. I loaded it my self. Westside paid. 400. Gut won't show no paperwork. Shady
Just left there for the first time. Quick and friendly for a scrap yard. Really appreciated me giving them a shot and theytpay a few pennies more then the surrounding yards. I'll be back.
