i’d like to thank the city of cleveland for stealing my property and holding it hostage against me whilst paying almost $300 to get it back all for EXPIRED TAGS. really made a difference and made me think of what i did wrong. thanks to our brave traffic police for considering my car a danger to society. also, thanks to our cleveland impound unit for assisting us with a list of their public numbers and not answering a single one! let’s all take a moment to thank those at work throught the blood, sweat and tears! couldn’t do it without them!

You guys have a bunch of phone numbers in your directory and y’all don’t even pick up. What’s the point of having the directory if nobody will pick up the phone for customers? People want to get their cars out not keep them in and you prolong the situation by not picking up customers calls.

There was a lot of back and forth between two buildings. If you're mobility challenged, it's harder.
Feb 11, 2025 -
I posted as many of the notices that are plastered all throughout the buildings. This will help you to know what will be expected of you in terms of paperwork in order to accomplish your goals at this facility. These notices well help you to know their hours of operation and their rules before you get there.

Most city workers anymore are terrible. They are the same as anyone else. Don't answer phone, have attitudes when questions are asked. Sorry your job is terrible. Sorry you had to work like the rest of us.

I had to visit the impound lot to recover a stolen KIA and found a professionally run operation. Proof of ownership/payment/recovery of vehicle all in one stop. The workers were very friendly. The visit exceeded expectations.

Only open 8am-12(noon) Online it says 75-300 depending on how long they hold your car. They charge for the day off. Meaning Saturday. The day they aren’t open counts to more money they collect from you. They also hit you with a ton of fees. Our vehicle for only a day (including the day they were closed) they charged $189. Just for parking in the wrong spot. No ticket or warning.

Great experience! My favorite part was when they impounded my car and I had to purchase it back! Ask for molly, shes the best! And Ricky has the funniest one-liners! Hopefully the city of cleveland tows my car again!

I think the city of Cleveland has a racket going with this impound lot. The city doesn't make it real easy to figure out where you can park. The signs are not visible if they are even there. They basically steal your car and make it real hard to get back. I think it's a total racket. And then the people in the Lot 6 have bad attitudes. It is a whole different class of people who work in that establishment. I can't believe this stuff goes on.....corruption at it's best!!! I always say.....IT'S BETTER IN MENTOR!!!

Not what I expected - pleasantly surprised. They were professional and courteous. First time needing their services and they made it very easy. Everyone was friendly, especially the crew where you pick up your car. Hope I never need their services again.

I have never been to an impound and I was honestly terrified about what to expect but the staff across the board, especially Zach and Chrissy, were incredibly helpful, warm, and made me feel so much better about my situation I had been struggling with. For an unpleasant scenario, they at least made the process so much better. Grateful for easing the burn of the fines that were my own fault.

I understand no one is happy when their car gets towed. These cops here, and yes i say cops because they don't deserve the respect of other officers who were able to stay on the street, are pieces of garbage. Literally did nothing but comply and the guy (black about 50s) was clearly looking to take his day out on someone. I would offer advice, but he wouldn't be working here if he was even somewhat competent at his job. This place needs serious oversight, its disorganized, and run by incompetent cops who are still on their power trip, even though they have clearly been removed from the street. "get a real job" comes to mind, but clearly this guy isnt capable of anything other than basic paper work. Someone with a half of a brain and basic communication skills, please step in.

My car was towed from downtown on a Friday and I was able to pick it up the following day. Downtown Cleveland really sucks at notifying people about no parking. I read the sign, and yet my car was still towed! As for the impound lot, I thought the people who worked there were polite and for the most part, professional. If you don’t have any parking tickets, it’s about $189.00 total for one day. The only bad thing about going on a Saturday is waiting in the long lines to pay. Hopefully this helps!

Worst city ever for parking. Cop didn't care that I might lose my job just shrugged his shoulders and rode off. Had it not been for the kind employees at the Doubletree I probably would've slept on the corner. Never ever going back there again. The impound lot had my car in the wrong space so I had the added bonus of driving around the lot searching and praying that my van was even there. I would've liked to see the Rock n Roll HF - it should been built in Detroit anyways.

Had an easy, smooth process retrieving my stolen van. The front office was cracking jokes with us, and DaShawn(spelling?) and the other guys were awesome and a great help!

My car was totaled, I wasn't even in the car and I didn't give permission to the driver that totalled it. I went to get my things out and they were completely rude to me and treated me like I was a criminal. I fought with insurance over the car, when that was figured out I went back to get my car out they told me if the car isn't picked up in 30 days they crash it, first I heard of that. Then they said someone came and got the car, I owned the car outright. They couldn't even tell me who came and got it. They are terrible people and they are a complete disorganized mess.

Worst customer service ever! UNProfessional police office who dont give a damn, just only about those in their police click. Their attitudes are NASTY! I told them i didnt care about the other police officers health ailments. What does that got to do with answering the phone??? I kept being charged bc they kept me running around like flo jo in the city of Cleveland saying they need this and that. They stated they needed my registration, but wouldnt let me get in the car to get it! They send you running in circles, so that they can keep getting money from you until they demolish your car to make way for the next car to come in! These police seem like they dont like their jobs and mad at the word. These are the ppl who are "protecting" the city of Cleveland. I am embarrassed for the city of Cleveland and thats why they are losing money. Ppl are leaving. Who wants to pay money into a city and you cant get protection or respect. Glad i left! Unfortunatley, I got rear ended in the city of cleveland on the freeway. I rather deal with Parma police!

The payment processing was easy and those employees were really nice. But the guys that actually run the lot in the back were disgusting. They we’re slow, rude, and they hit on me. So unprofessional. After I finally got my car one of them used an old car to block me in the parking lot and said I never paid and I couldn’t leave. I showed them my receipt (which I had already provided before they took me to my car) and they finally moved so I could leave. They never even apologized.

Rude and impatient customer service who made me feel stupid for getting my vehicle towed in the first place. I was towed from a legal parking spot during “rush hour” even though rush hour wasn’t for another 2 hours and there was no posted time restrictions in the zone.

The employees were very nice, especially considering that every person there was yelling at them. The golf cart ride to my car was a nice little bonus.
