Wrongfully towed my bike after a special event on August 10th. Then damaged it by strapping it down by the bars therefore damaging the cables causing a short. I had to pay $176 to get it out of their back lot then another $250 to have it towed out of their front lot by a different tow company then another $1200 to harley to have the wiring harness repaired.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY LEFT THE CAR AT THE WRONG LOCATION AND LOCKED THE KEYS IN THE CAR... DO NOT USE. I tired calling to have them rectify and the employee kept hanging up on me and the owner said the buck stops here and she would not be rectifying the situation.
Ecke's has helped my Cleveland, Ohio business with towing more than a handful amount of times. Jay and his team are always quick to respond and communicate. They've given me sound advice to protect my lot. Highly recommend for anyone in Cleveland in need of towing.
My car was illegally towed from handicapped parking meter that has my placard in the window! I contacted this company several times and asked why my car was towed and I was told I contacted the company and needed a tow and since I didn’t answer when they called my car was towed for non payment of a service I never requested. I have never contacted this company until my car was towed. I have AAA and roadside assistance through Hyundai. I have been at work all day and when I got off my car was gone. I have never contacted this company for anything and was told I could not get my car back and the owner is unavailable! I had to Lyft home ! This place stole my car!
This towing company is a disgrace. They towed my car from a lot I paid to park in, completely unjustified. They showed zero concern for any damage they could cause and treated me like I didn’t matter. It’s clear they only care about money, not people. If you want your car handled with respect or decency, avoid this place at all costs. They’re the worst in the business, exploiting people and giving no regard to right or wrong. Absolutely unacceptable.
If it wasn't for diesel gas, I'd never go. A Pepsi product that's normally $1.69 they were charging $3.99 for! I told her the price was wrong, Pepsi was aslo there and did the same and she shrugged it off with some weak excuse. Because she couldn't sell it at that price she removed it from the cooler. Horrible! Cashiers are nice so there's that.
12 degrees and snow and we caught a flat. Young man came out in less than 10 minutes. Had our flat changed and on the way in less time than roadside assistance who had quoted us 96 minutes-Then kept telling us they had to cancel and assign us someone new. The young man was super pleasant and helpful. I'm appreciative. And he said it is pronounced eck-eez 2 syllables.
Called Ecke's to tow my car for a recall. Paid in full $246.88 plus a $20 cash tip to the driver, to move it 5.6 miles. On the way the driver had to hit the breaks, which to my understanding launched my car off the tow bed causing it to be totaled. Insurance covered the total loss, but there was zero refund offered even with the great inconvenience for now having to get a new vehicle. Use this company at your own peril. Good luck.
They rightfully towed my car out of an apartment complex when I didn’t have a parking pass. After they towed it, miscommunication on price to get car out that they ended up fixing for me. However, after towing my car, I had damage on my tire that I had to get fixed and pay for myself. They refused to compensate for damage and the owner was very rude, kept hanging up the phone, and would not give me his name. Employees were fairly friendly and helpful. Owner was just kind of a jerk when I was nothing but respectful.
Absolutely trash attitude and the most exploitive towing company in all of Cleveland!!! They tow cars even if they have a pass and will NEVER notify you of any changes just to tow your car.
If you ask me towing in general should be an illegal practice. Such an immoral business.

The absolute best towing company in NE Ohio and the Downtown Cleveland. If you need a car moved now, Ecke’s is quick with a joke or a light up your smoke. The Ecke’s drivers are so quick that they will turn on a dime and leave you a nickels change.
Called at 1:30 am for service, was told they weren’t open. Had a friend of the opposite race call 15 mins later, and they said they were able to perform services. Proceed with caution with this company.
Towed my car that was parked in the lot I pay for, went to get my car they said I couldn't get it until they "had the paperwork" had to come back the next day, they then said I had to pay $300 because it was there for 4 days when I tried to get it the day before, then I had to pay with cash and their ATM HAD NONE! What a terrible place.
They are money hungry. And the workers are so inconsiderate. I paid to get my car out they told me the town man couldn’t give me my car because he was out doing a tow and to go get lunch. And they would call me when he came back to the shop. Never got a call. I coincidentally pulled back up and he was there. But didn’t receive any call or text to know. They are a disgrace.
I live an hour away from Cleveland. When my car picked up a large piece of metal that was grinding into the road, I called Ecke's. It was Saturday afternoon. He was there in 15 minutes and picked the front of the car up and pulled the metal off. I could not have been more delighted. If I ever need towing or emergency garage service when I'm in Cleveland, I will be calling them.
We had a day in Cleveland and came back to our car having a flat tire Brandon came out to help us and not only was he professional he went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my family got home safe. I can't say enough good things about him. I don't know what he makes but he definitely deserves a raise. Highly, highly recommend.
I will be filing a formal business complaint including the 3rd district of Cleveland because they let this company tow weekend after weekend people parked “illegally” in their private property parking lot. Total inconvenience for some punk money that you can’t even pay 24hrs
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to reschedule our time and they let me know ahead of time, so I wouldn't be left cluelessly waiting. The driver expertly towed my car out of a small parking garage and got me to my appointment without any issues. 5 stars, would totally call again. But hopefully not.
I Highly highly do not recommend this business. They do not show up on time and are the biggest scums around. The driver of the Ram 4500 in truck number 246 is the biggest worthless driver on road today. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Andy was very patient with me. Thought my battery needed a jump but it was my alternator. Instead of leaving me stranded and having to wait, he made his necessary calls to be able to tow my vehicle to its destination. Thank you Andy for your patience and kindness
Janky, sketchy, money hungry “tow company” that tow vehicles under no grounds or basis at all. If they had legit business, they wouldn’t be trying to tape people with ridiculous charges. Lady at the register in the gas station doesn’t wear a mask. Should be shut down
Called and felt like it was kinda expensive but they were helpful and friendly. You will need a credit card and a few minutes to verify your billing information. The truck arrived about an hour and a half later but I was in no big hurry. Besides a few extra steps in the process, no complaints. 4th star for your customer service.
Fixed my car that day, and were able to provide me a ride home and back to pick up the car. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

Called this company at 12:20am to get two cars towed from in front of my apartment parking garage door in a Private alleyway so that I could get into my $150/month parking garage spot and nobody ever came to move any cars. On the phone, Ecke’s said they had one job to do first and would send someone within the hour, meaning by 1:30am. One of the cars left around 1:15am, but the other stayed for good and I had to wait a long time to find street parking for the night because this company was so unreliable. I was very lucky to find parking for the night elsewhere at a great expense of time and effort. It is now over two hours and 15 minutes later and nobody has showed up, and that is not okay. I made it clear that this was something that needed to be done as quickly as possible and nobody from Ecke’s showed up. People should not be at the mercy of a company that refuses to do its job when some idiot parks in front of their Private home parking garage...
The guy that came out tonight to help my husband, who was stuck with a dead battery, went above and beyond to make sure he got the job taken care of. We appreciated the fast response and getting him back on the road quickly. Would definitely utilize their company again.
My kid locked his keys in his car on Scranton. Ecke's was there in 10 minutes and had him safe and back on the road immediately. I then received a courtesy call letting me know he was safe. Thank you from one dad to another.
DO NOT PARK IN ANY LOT WITH THEIR SIGNS. These people are predatory towers and will take your car while you are having dinner or anything that the lot is labeled for. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. I am making a formal complaint to get their licence revoked with the city of Cleveland after they ilegaly towed my car and charged me to pick it up. I also saw them extorting money from another patron of the shopping area who was being towed they said $90 for the relese of the car even though the car was on proper stilland ohio law states that the charge shall be half the impounded recovery fee if the owner finds the car while still on "the hook". These people operate outside the law and take cash only because they know they are con artists who rely on predatory tactics to suck others wallets dry. ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE NEVER PARK IN A LOT WITH THIS SIGN
Called for an estimate, which the woman refused to give. She was rude as soon as she answered, and then when she was told the addresses(twenty minutes away) said it was out of their service area. Would NEVER use them after that experience, being out of the service area is one thing but being rude is no way to get customers
They are a total rip off scam. I am going to file a complaint with the state regarding their business practices. My vehicle got towed and they took total advantage of the situation. First off all, when I pull up the store clerk is outside smoking weed with two other guys. They then only accept cash and tell us we also got a ticket so it will be another 37 dollars. I didn't know that they were an authorized payment center for the City of Cleveland. Totally unprofessional and unethical. I will never give them any business again ever.
