I have worked with Kufner Towing several times - same driver every time. Super professional and explains the entire process very well. Great company to work with.
I called another towing service to get my vintage car from Cleveland to Vermilion. After waiting 45 minutes,they never called me back. I then called Kufner and the dispatcher was friendly and rapidly asked 4 questions. What type of car, where you at, where you going and type of payment. Great Ill have a truck there in 30 minutes. Mike showed up in 25 minutes and was great. Nice friendly guy and knows his stuff. Loaded my car and dropped it off in my Vermilion driveway exactly where I needed it. You may not always get the service I received, but mine was perfect. Highly recommend this company and my driver Mike.
So, while there are some good employees here, this company is basically just the city of Lakewood's pet. When Lakewood says jump, Kufner says how high?
Even when illegally towing vehicles. Bringing the vehicle back doesn't fix your mistake. Neither does hiding from accountability.
My car was stuck against my fence in my driveway, I broke my side view mirror trying to get out. Andy came out and quickly got my car out without damaging the car further. There was not much room between the car and the fence. After he got my car out, he noticed my rear tire was low and filled it up. Then checked the other tires as well. Andy was awesome.
Professional kind took us home didn't have too. The driver sorry bad with name wa kind and reassuring funny. Kufner towing is the only company you need i was the one in the Kia thanks!
I had called for a tow in my parking lot at my shop which normally costs between 85- 100 for this service. The driver had decide to charge me for a wench out service winch out , after looking at the video no winch was used during the service. I had called the company to resolve the issue and he informed me he looked at the pictures the driver had taken and has no idea what I am talking about. I told him I watched the video from my cameras, which lasted a total of 5 mins for the entire video. He had hooked the car and moved it to the front of the lot and that was it. Again I was told that wasn’t the case and the $200 charge was correct.
I had my car towed today. It is extremely hard to get my car into the driveway due to the angle. It had to be placed on a flat bed truck and it wouldn’t make the turn.They sent an extended cab truck to try and still couldn’t get it and now are sending a 3rd truck. I am so impressed with their perseverance and dedication to their job . The people who came out were excellent.I’m sure they are busy due to the snow and took so much time to help me.
Excellent service they said they would to here by 7:30 am to get my car to shop and that exactly what they did.They were on time and very perfesstional. I would highly recommend them for towing service.

I called Kufner Towing, and the helpful representativeb with a name starting with an A was able to assist me with my car that had been towed for parking on a side street while I was on vacation. He walked me through the process of getting my car back at the best possible value.
Predatory and shady operation. If your car is towed from a city street, they’ll only accept cash to retrieve it. They try to act like they’re doing you a favor by having an ATM onsite which conveniently caps withdrawals at $200 (spoiler alert: it will cost you more than that to get your car back even if it’s only been there for less than a day) AND charges nearly $5 in fees PER withdrawal. I can only imagine what they’re actually claiming on taxes.
These people are borderline criminals with no conscience. If I ever actually need a tow truck or service company, and I’m at my last resort, I’d pull up YouTube and figure it out on my own before I’d call this company.
My daughter car was not starting we called kufner towing they came right away got my day car started for a very reasonable price even with the extra issues with her vehicle they made sure we were taken care of very knowledgeable and helpful I highly recommend this towing company definitely the best I’ve ever used 10 out of 10
It’s funny how I called other tow companies with great reviews and 5 stars or close to 5 stars never called me back after leaving a message or ignored my calls (I count how many times the phone rings lol) but this place picked up after the second ring. The guy on the phone sounded very upbeat! He was very attentive, I gave him my info and he made sure the information was correct. He said they should be there in 15 mins to pick up the car. The guy who dropped off my car did a great job maneuvering my car in my already difficult drive way, so I have no complaints! I’ll definitely use this company if I ever need help.

My experience with Kufner Towing was extremely concerning. They only accept cash, which immediately raised red flags, especially after learning that even AAA won’t operate on their property. When I asked why they don’t take cards, I was met with a very unsettling response — essentially that I “shouldn’t think too much about it.”
Retrieving my vehicle cost $221 in cash, and I later learned that Lakewood Police had sent roughly 25 vehicles there on December 6th, amounting to over $5,500 profit for Kufner on those vehicles alone in a single day. The company explained their cash-only policy by saying people dispute card charges, but given what I witnessed and read in previous negative reviews, that explanation feels suspicious.
In my opinion, the operation feels untrustworthy and predatory. I strongly urge anyone dealing with this company to proceed with caution and advocate for transparency and accountability in local towing practices.
First I wanna say kufner is very reliable! And will go the distant for you,my first time in Cleveland and did such a far tow! For a reasonable price. Thank you guys!!
I just want to say I appreciate the quickness of them arriving but I was charged 100$ to go one minute from my home and im not exaggerating. I just feel that was very uncouth. 100$ to go 2 streets over was very disappointing. I’ll never use this company again.
this company engages in predatory illegal towing of vehicles they do not have the right to tow. my car was parked at a cvs, which i was a customer at. i walked across the street for a second and within minutes, a little boy who was clearly on some kind of substance was attempting to hook my car up to his tow truck, scratching it in the process. The boy demanded i pay $80 to get him to stop. thats extortion. i had every single right to have my car there, its a 24 hour cvs and i was waiting on a prescription and bought a bunch of other stuff, I have all the receipts. the CVS had no idea why this place was trying to tow my car.
i would appreciate if this extremely dishonest slimy business would contact me and reverse the charges. I'm sure they won't and thats cool, just needed people to know they engage in extremely shady business practices
Kufner went above and beyond making sure I got my car home safely. They were fast, efficient and very fair and honest, upfront pricing. Driver was super cool and could tell he knew what he was doing and very professional.
I want to thank Jerry in tow truck “516 for helping me on Wednesday September 24. My car stalled at the intersection of Hilliard and Wagar Rd. In Rocky River and I could not restart it due to a problem with my electronic parking system. I was in a very hazardous and dangerous location on Wagar Rd. He was so nice and helpful. We finally decided the best solution was to tow me to my home in Avon, Ohio. I appreciated his kindness and his helpful suggestions. Thank you Jerry!
I can’t recommend Kufner Towing enough. I got stuck in a ditch after being blinded by solar glare and got connected to them through my Geico Roadside Assistance. I was a little shaken up and called to get an ETA and I guess Mike heard and came right on over. He was so incredibly kind and reassuring and got my car out of the ditch. He even popped my front bumper right back into place. I’m so incredibly grateful for how efficient and kind they were. They really helped me out during a scary situation.
The folks here know what they are doing. I had a very positive experience with them. If you need a tow they got you and if you need information about a towed vehicle they helped me and my family and we was more than satisfied with our experience 10 out 10
I called this service every time I need a tow because they're very reasonable and reliable. Great phone customer service and when your driver get there, you notice he or she is on time, professional and very helpful. Jose is a true gem! Great job all of round.
The flatbed tow truck driver was being difficult with me about how I needed him to put my SUV on the rollback. Until I reminded him that I had paid for the tow. And I needed him to put my vehicle in my backyard to face a certain direction, for easy access and repair purposes.
We had to have my daughter’s car towed 3x in two days. Kufners was absolutely amazing every single time! They towed it off the road when the lower control arm & cv axel broke, then from a house (with not the most convenient driveway), to another, then to the dealership. They were super quick- they said 30 mins; it was 29 mins the first time, and less than 25 mins for the 2nd tow. The 3rd tow we had to work out a time that was convenient for the dealership- they were perfectly accommodating! As for cost, I couldn’t be happier. The last tow was the longest and I was worried about what it may cost, it was more reasonable than anyone in my family predicted! And the cost was given up front- no surprises! They obviously also kept great records; each time I called, they knew the last location, my preferred payment method, and had all the details for the car. Everyone was incredibly professional & still super friendly! I only wish that I could give them more than 5 stars!!!!
My Mustang Mach-E broke down in my one car garage. I was worried about getting it towed out of the garage, especially since it’s an AWD electric. Kufner sent out Jimmy and he was great to work with. He explained things in a way I could understand and gave me confidence he knew what he was doing and wasn’t going to mess up my car. Thanks Jimmy!
Kufner again helped us out of a jam and did excellent work. We had a forklift fall through a trailer floor. Called in and they remembered us from calling before. Greeted us and made small convo. Driver was here in 20min and had the lift pulled out in less than 10. Thank you!!!
This place has terrible customer service when my family and I arrived we walked into into the building that had an open sign to it as anyone with a brain would do the front of the door had entrance on it so we entered as we entered the office we walked in there trying to find anyone to speak with we start away from anything that was closed off because of course if you have sense you’d just know so we continued as we walked pass the a door someone opened it by the name of ulique hopefully I spelled it right he started screaming and asking us what we were doing in there in a harsh manner without respect for the customer what made it worse he held onto his side showering us that he was caring it upset me cause we weren’t rude we didn’t go in there with bad intentions we just want to get information about our care that my baby brother got in a bad rack with and collect our stuff soo I did get super upset after he just kept going he told us to get out and that only office people can be in that part of the building but than it make more sense for them to put that on the signs outside their building if that’s the case they should say DO NOT ENTER OFFICE PERSONNEL ONLY but it didn’t say that it was very unprofessional it was very disrespectful and very uncomfortable I’ll add the pictures of the sign that were on the building maybe I missed something but pls don’t work in an environment where you have to deal with people when you don’t know how to deal with people don’t work in a place where it’s needed for you to have people skills and communication skills when you are lacking in all of these aspects smh do bettter plsssssssss
