One of the warmer days of last week me and my wife took the bikes out for one of the final few rides of the season and this is where we ended up was Guilford lake!!
I love the swimming lake.. no life guards to make you get out.. we are allowed to have our floaties and kids are allowed to have water toys..
Overall a very nice place to take the family for the day
I have not had a great amount of time spent here. Went night fishing. It was clean and very beautiful scenery. Picnic areas are available, too. I'm looking forward to exploring this area more!!
We always have a nice time here. The water and restrooms are clean and it never seems to be too crowded. The only issue I have is constantly dodging duck poo in the grass. I really, really hate that.
We visited the lake for my brother's baptism, we were very pleased with the park, beach area, and changing/restroom faculity and parking area! The Weather was perfect that day also, nice breeze, 80* day, sailboats were out on the lake!
I love animals and I love how they gooses and it’s very pretty but I think one of the pictures is edited but I still give it a five star cause it’s very pretty and my dogs are gonna be going for His half way to one birthday this Friday so tell him happy half
way to one birthday for me please
Out of the way peaceful place for getaway. Great for families, fishing , camping. The state park has rv spots. Campgroubd has a family cabin to rent on a weekly basis. Geese xare annoying
The fishing here is pretty good, I always manage to catch something when I go, have gotten several nice sized black crappie and caught my first perch and catfish near Mark's Landing. Have only been swimming at the beach once but it was clean and enjoyable there and we had a good time. Love seeing the cormorants on the lake.
Great fishing lake. Very nice size striped bass, largemouth, catfish, and carp. I've caught multiple Fish Ohio's out of Guilford, 2 striped bass, 1 largemouth, 1 catfish, and 2 carp. Both striped bass I caught on raw shrimp night fishing. The crappie, perch and bluegill all seem to be all stunted in growth lately.
I have so much to say about how simply beautiful this lake is, they keep it clean and the sunsets are spectacular. It's great for the whole family to enjoy

It's a beautiful lake to go kayaking on only downfall is the beach needs a little TLC there is a pretty good drop off that needs to be leveled off to get down onto the beach. The changing rooms are very clean, and also the bathrooms.
First time here was on July 4th. I loved it. Best swimming lake I have been to in a long time. I found it on accident by driving around and fell in love with the lake. Will continue to go here when I want to swim. Very clean lake. Friendly people and everyone that lives on the lake are friendly. Watched fireworks from 9 to 11 on the 4th of July because everyone around the lake was setting them off. What am experience the family had. Will definitely go back as I have done already. Will definitely recommend it to anyone and tell them about my new found secret.
The lady at check didn't want to take the time an see if any camper was checking out. She kept saying nothing available at 9am so I ask if any thing available after 1 pm check out time an she wouldn't look. After going else where went back after 6 pm an like 8 empty site. Sad service
The one star is for the beautiful lake but the rest we would give a minus five stars as it is filthiest campground we have ever been too. We both had to use the facilities as soon as we got there and before we parked for our five day stay there. There are four stalls in the ladies room and each one was disgustingly dirty. My husband had the same experience in the men's room. It was clear that no one cares about the place and no one bothers to clean up after the types of people who camp there. The site was not at all what was pictured...one right after the other, no privacy in any shape or form. If we were the person in charge of the Ohio State campgrounds, we would fire everyone involved in its care or lack there of - we both said that for Ohio to have their name on that campground is an embarrassment. We are from NYS where campgrounds are pristine and well kept even if the facilities are older. Needless to say we were very disappointed and left.
Went on a Sunday with family. Nice place to go and relax and change of scenery. We went to swim. I ended up swimming only for a bit. There was too much geese droppings everywhere to really enjoy it fully. I know it's a park however it deterred from the small kids from swimming and running around. Bathrooms are nice & had full soap dispensers.
