What clients say about O'Reilly Auto Parts in Oxford (OH)

On my way across town I forgot to stop at Walmart for the oil filter I usually buy there. Instead of driving back I decided to stop in O'Reilly along my route. They had my filter but it was $21.99. I asked them if they price matched and the counter man said yes we do. We pulled the filter up at Walmart and it was only $9.99. There was another guy there who said that they couldn't match that price. SO THEY SAY PRICE MATCH BUT THEY DON'T HONOR THEIR POLICY! I GUESS IN THEIR MIND IT'S OKAY TO GOUGE CUSTOMERS OVER 100% MORE $$$$, FOR AN EXACT ITEM! I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN O'REILLY AGAIN! O'RIP OFF AUTO PARTS IS MORE LIKE IT!

I will only go here. Autozone knows nothing about cars or parts of cars. I have been going here for years. They help with everything and every question you may have. Wonderful people. I highly recommend going here then any other places. Ty for all you do..

"The manager and employees always take care of everything I need with the most professionalism possible." Was what my review used to say, till an employee decided he wanted to make vague threats over my personal property, they hire incredible car ignorant people that have trouble using basic computer programs let alone helping you find the correct part, they don't answer the phones, and they just plane are not great at their jobs... go to autozone it's right down the street...

The staff here is great! I go in every 2-3 months to get stuff for oil changes. Today I happened to have my 6 & 2yo with me. The gentleman working were so kind & gave them promo flashlights! This made their day & mine much easier for the rest of our errands.

A man followed me home on my lunch break to let me know my brake lights were completely out. That the turn signals work, but no brakes. I called O'Reilly and I asked them if they could find out if it is a fuse or lights and do the free installation as advertised on the website. The man said he couldn't tell without looking at my car. Understandable, but I was pretty sure a 2003 Camry would not be difficult for bulb installation if someone has basic electrical knowledge. I went to the store, and the man I spoke with said that it was probably the brake light switch under the dashboard. And that I probably hit a bushing and they went out from slamming on my brakes too hard. I have no idea if any of this is true or correct, but it was clear that he and the other employee were too busy in an empty store. He was not helpful and said he didn't know to all my other questions regarding brake light installation. I asked him if we could look at it, as he did not willingly offer. As we were walking out, the younger gentleman said, "I'm not helping you with this one." Older man chuckled and patted him on the back as he walked from behind the counter. He made me nervous and I hit the gas instead of the brake. And he yelled brake (car was in park). He confirmed all my other lights worked. As he went inside, he made sure to remind me to turn my lights off, (they went off when I locked the car), and told me that I should really be careful with that. I told him the car is old, but not old enough to be a complete dinosaur just as a joke. Then he told me how old his vehicle is. Mine is older, but I decided the immature contest of who has it worse wasn't worth it. He sold me the correct bulbs but did not offer to install. Just said he didn't know if he could. I tried to do it myself at home but they were really stuck in there. I just wasn't strong enough. He assumed I had some sort of help at home. I have no clue what I did to these employees, but I have never left satisfied. I was defeated and called Auto Zone a bit further down the road and explained what I just experienced. That I need to see if it is just the brake lights, or something else. That I tried and couldn't get them out. At this point, as a single mom with two kids that have exams tomorrow, and has to be at work at 7:30 am, I was desperate and he said he would be there until 8 pm. The Auto Zone employee happily installed the bulbs in under 4 minutes, and when I went to return the bulbs I bought from O'Reilly in Oxford, the man said, "It wasn't the bulbs, was it?" He continued to ask me questions and seemed confused about how I rectified the situation without his expertise. I only gave him the facts, he said, "Oh," and he completed the return. I thanked him, he said, "You're welcome," and I left. My late father was a mechanic, and he warned me about this type of behavior from any auto parts place, especially towards women. O'Reilly employees should stop condescending to people. Auto Zone had several customers that had no issue waiting patiently for service while there. O'Reilly's store was empty again when I went to return the bulbs. I can see why.

O'Reilly is pretty much like all the other parts store, they were helpful, and as long as the people who work there know something about veh. Your in luck, it just so happens I myself know how to work on veh. So thats a big plus for me and sometimes it helps who takes care of me with whatever parts I'm after So far I have no complaints with O'Reilly

Layout of store is a lot nicer to navigate than the competitors. Brighter lights with natural lighting in parts area. The "zone" is dark and not as helpful. Staff is willing to go out of their way to help you find what your looking for.
