I unfortunately hit a pothole deep enough to bend my motorcycle's wheel, so I called up Alan's, they had Andrew out to me within 15min.
Super pleasant experience, Andrew saved me an Uber to my house as well with a ride in his pristine truck and is just a joy to chat with.
Probably the best tow service experience I've had in memory. Albeit for $170 for towing my Street Triple RS (sport bike).
We had a late night Friday Toe with a flatbed Wrecker it was a challenging technical job the driver Austin did a fantastic job and was professional and took his time to make sure the job was done right highly recommend this company it is 2:00 in the morning and they're still working
Harry with Alan's came and got me at the petro in Kenly and brought mt Western star to Velocity in Raleigh, great guy, knew what he needed to do, got the it done in a timely manner, safe and efficient.. I recommend this company and thier drivers... I will definitely use them again, I just hope I dont need to... lol

I was picking up a takeout order. My order was large and I asked the restaurant if I could park outside their front entrance to load up as I have one arm and the trip would've been atleast 2 back and forths (Plus they were closing so I was trying to be quick)
There is no handicap pickup / dropoff which is why I made this request.
In the time it takes to park, walk into the restaurant and start carrying my bags out....they tow my car ( '15 BMW if it matters).
This isn't the part I'm mad about.
This is:
I get them to come back, explain everything going on and they told me they didn't care.
Then they refuse my card payment (stating they felt I was going to do a charge back - I offered AMEX and Visa) and tell me that they only have a cash payment to get my car.
The only ATM close by was locked in the closed mall. The driver said some nasty things and that he was going to take it back to the lot and charge double.
They did take it to their lot in Wendell and when I get there, I have to argue my way back down to the $150...where I end up paying with a card anyway!
This whole order took 10x the time with the same resolution
Absolute scum.
They towed the car away from a man who only had one arm and parked near the entrance to a store (with owner permission) to get his bags... They refused his drop fee and made him go all the way to Wendell to get his car in the middle of the night where they tried to charge him double. Disgusting.
Yesterday didn’t go as we planned because our car failed us while on the road. We were at least two hours away from home when our car put us down Alan’s tow truck service driver Andrew was so kind & courteous to my husband I. He got us home safely while make us laugh the entire way. Taking our minds off our troubles a little bit. Thank you Andrew! We are forever grateful for you & your kindness!!
Andrew was super helpful and very friendly. I appreciated his upbeat attitude, especially since most people are in a bad mood when their car dies. His expertise and personality made the best of an unpleasant situation. The dispatch took 35 minutes which I was thankful for and the price was fair.
I also appreciated that the receptionist was very quick and direct with gathering my information, as a lot of these calls are urgent situations.
Would definitely recommend and would use the services again.
Having car trouble is never fun, but an efficient tow service can make a huge difference. Recently, I experienced this firsthand when a tow truck arrived quickly as promised after I called for help. The driver Franz was exceptionally nice and genuinely listened to my concerns about my car. His polite and reassuring demeanor, combined with the swift and careful handling of my vehicle, turned a stressful situation into a surprisingly positive one.
Andrew was hands down the best and most professional tow truck driver I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with(my cars break down a lot). He was not only prompt, personable and professional, he was also very knowledgeable and entertaining to converse with. Him and the awesome people at Alan’s towing will be the only company I will recommend or use for the duration of my time in North Carolina. Can not express enough how easy and well priced they were compared to competition.
Wonderful job and patience. Steve was dispatch to our church, via a third-party mechanic, to pick up our mini bus. The person scheduled to meet him with the key was unable and thus, we were 15 minutes late. Once there, the location of the bus would not allow a flatbed. Needless to say, Steve/Alan's Towing was very accommodating in obtaining a means of moving the bus and patient in waiting for someone else to bring the key. Job well done!!!
I called to ask about my vehicle after it being towed. The lady on the phone was very rude the entire phone call saying I’m not going back and forth and I don’t care you shouldn’t have parked there. Professionalism is a zero. I called calm not yelling and to be blatantly disrespected is unacceptable. Also when I got there I had to walk almost half a mile to go get my purse out the car due to their golf cart not being accessible. You never know what people are going through. Always choose kindness. I hope no one ever experiences what I did with this company.
Avoid This Company at All Costs
After years of loyal business and spending thousands of dollars with this company, I am appalled at the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior I experienced. I called to get my semi-truck pulled out of a rut after trying to free frozen trailer brakes. The night before, their dispatcher quoted me $250/hour and instructed me to call back at 7 a.m. for assistance.
The next morning, I spoke with a man named Rob, who was condescending and rude from the start. When I asked about the price, he abruptly told me it was $350/hour and snapped, “I don’t know what she told you, but it’s $350. Do you want me to do it or not?”
Wanting clarity, I called back to explain that we had a long-standing business relationship, and their rates had previously been adjusted based on that. Another man picked up (who may have been the same guy, not sure), identified himself as the owner, and flat-out refused to honor the original quote. He rudely stated, “GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT. I don’t care what she told you. It’s 7 a.m., and I don’t have time to argue.” Then he hung up on me!
Despite this, they still dispatched a driver to my location, which I thought was odd and bold. I declined their services immediately. Another company ended up pulling me out for $165 without the drama.
This business is rude, unprofessional, and clearly doesn’t value its customers—even long-term ones who’ve spent thousands of dollars with them. Save yourself the headache and find a company that respects you and your time. Avoid them at all costs!
Brandon was the sweetest, kindest, most patient and polite man ever!!! I told him part a that too. I will only use this company from now on, just because of him. Absolutely wonderful. Made a stressful time surprisingly easy. An I got high anxiety. AND I don’t like being out in the dark. He put me totally at ease. Incredible. Give that man a raise. 300/10 stars
Alan's Towing was awesome! They towed my Toyota Camry for Peddle. They were very clear on the instructions on what to do in preparation for my appointment. I wish I had caught my drivers name because he was so helpful and patient when I was having trouble removing the license plate. I would absolutely use this company again for any towing needs in the future!
I had an awesome tow truck experience with Andrew and the coordinator on the phone who helped me set everything up. They truly turned a bad experience into a positive one. Andrew was even kind enough to drop me at home, I’m very thankful for the staff at Alan’s Towing and will definitely be using them again!
Called trying to find if they'd towed a friend's car and Jenny was incredibly friendly and helpful. She took the time to walk me through general practices and give us next steps after she double checked to see if they had the car! The most pleasant conversation I think anyone has ever had with a towing company.
I've had to use them twice in the past month and both the drivers I had were very nice and professional. They were timely and cost significantly less than several other local tow places I called. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
Our driver Andrew was absolutely fantastic! Did a long haul for us with our HEAVY dually, went above and beyond helping to get it loaded and unloaded in a less than ideal location. These guys were a fraction of the cost of what some shipping companies wanted and their driver/customer service is above and beyond!!
Would use them any day of the week.
I had scheduled a Peddle pickup using this company from 3pm to 8pm. I called them around 4 to see if there is an ETA on the pickup, they said they were booked and couldn't give me one. I waited around 6 pm to call again and they told me the pickup was cancelled because the car was in a inaccessible location, the car had missing wheels, the car had missing exterior panels, which all of that was reported on the Peddle website. I called Peddle to ask what was going on and they said the pickup was cancelled due to the location. The location was fine because I had the car towed in and towed out from the location with different towing companies. They just did not want to pickup the car. Don't use this service a complete waste of time.
Now I don’t know who was the driver or where to go to complain but while driving a driver towing a huge water tank from rainforent container turned right on red while I had a green light. I had to stop along with several other cars just for him to turn very slowly. If was any other car that is way lighter I would understand but if you know you have a big load making bigger turns and slower turn then wait for the green light and not put people in danger. If this is an acceptable way to drive for this company I don’t want them towing anything I have. My only suggestions. Stop rushing and train your drivers better.
Got stuck on the side of the road with a dead battery, don’t ask me how, I have no idea lol but I put out a call and within 15 minutes a gentleman, Worth, showed up and got right to work. The whole ordeal took less than two minutes and I was back on the road headed home. Worth was respectful, very professional, and offered some advice on how to prevent it from happening again. If I could give 10 stars, I 100% would! Thank y’all so much!
My car lost power and stopped working earlier today. My insurance company sent a towing service that had multiple issues and after several delays, could not arrive to provide service.
Then they contacted and dispatched Alan Robinson's Towing, and their technician Matt arrived. He was friendly, polite and helpful. He was definitely worth waiting for!!!
I explained that I was concerned about having to leave my car windows open all weekend and he immediately got a jumpbox out and helped me with getting the windows closed. Then he skillfully loaded my car onto the flatbed tow truck with great patience and concern like it was his own car. I really appreciate that!

Call Alan's Towing for your RV towing needs. Couldn't have been a better experience. Our 35 Foot Class A diesel motor home threw the serpentine belt and required towing to Triangle Fleet Services for repair. After the previous towing company no-showed, we called Alan's Towing. Robert said he had an experienced operator and tow truck and could be there by 1:00. At 12:45, Philip, the operator showed up. He was clearly experienced in RV towing, was careful and professional. He removed the driveshaft and completed the setup including tying up the mudflap. While towing, he was careful to avoid overhanging trees. At drop-off he reinstalled the driveshaft and turned it over to the Service Center. I highly recommend Alan's Towing.
5 star service for towing luxury 45’ motorhome with extreme care. Dispatcher kept me informed (not an immediate emergency tow) and I was flexible at what time they met me since the driver was on a 18 wheeler tow when I called. Extreme care and caution with hooking up and on the ride. Driver stopped to check low tree branches to ensure damage free towing, which it was! Rate was reasonable and very safe driving under tow as I followed about 60 miles away to service center. Highly recommend!
Mason got to me quick after my tire popped off the car and rolled into someone’s yard in Clayton! Even got my car in the ramp without doing more damage than had already been done when the tire broke along with the lug nuts!! Thank you so much Mason!!

Alan's has knowledgeable, friendly, helpful dispatchers. The trucks are clean and well maintained and the drivers are well experienced. They also have a repair shop that does excellent work. Their roadside and shop prices are very fair and affordable. I would most DEFINITELY recommend Alan's to anyone in need of roadside service or repairs!
