AVOID AT ALL COST. ...Here is my experience ...removed my past review but back in oct 2022 requested my 2018 indian chief to be towed from raliegh and they send in a guy woth no motorcyxle towing equioment . We end up pushing the 800lb vwhicle on to the truck bed slipping agaisnt the oil and gresse and nesrly dropping it and breaking my leg thanks God! The poor driver kept telling me the owner never takes care of his vehicles so i file a complain and damamges with Agero and the owner calls me back saying he has 30 vehixles and only rarely geta motorcycle tow requets so he cant have the equiomwnt on every truck..what as fabulous piece of excuse such original thougts. AVOID AT ALL COST
Reading the other comments I would agree. They are very eager to get from one tow to another. The office staff have a tuff and high stressed job and show it in their attitude. The people who actually tow your car know the job. Jeb was training a new guy and he hooked my car up the right way, which was important since the car needed a serious repair. We had an issue where a large sum of money went missing during the tow. Even though they didn't believe we had that large sum of money in our vehicle, they were willing to have multiple phone calls with us and the drivers. When the money was retrieved from off the ground 2 days later at the scene of the tow. We all rejoiced and thanked the Lord Jesus Christ.
When my car died, I requested a tow through my insurance and Big Mack was dispatched to me. Zeb got there well before the ETA and had my car loaded on a flatbed inside of 5 minutes. Clearly he's done this a few times before.
Used them today for the first time instead of getting a tow the gentleman changed the tire for me , arrived fast under 10mins and price was affordable . Highly recommend
I have to agree with a review below, leaving Smithfield going on 95 today at 6:15pm, not 1 but 2 drivers from this company are driving in excess of 80, weaving in and out of traffic. The first guy was worse cutting people off and riding their tails sooo close! Definitely need to monitor your trucks and drivers better.
People who answer the phone need to be able to read a map. Also, when I discovered the price of the long distance tow and said "that's enough info, I'll look elsewhere, thank you for your time, have a nice day", she literally hung up on me. Not great phone decorum in response to potential customers who are having a bad day needing a tow!
Ugh I wished I asked him for his name again but he assisted me today sent through State Farm roadside assistance. He was nice and has good Attitude. He made a stressful day a lil less stressful. I really appreciate how he handled my vehicle. He was very tall kinda slim definitely keep him around.
Beware. Today around 3:15 on I95 South between Four Oaks and Benson, they were going over 80mph passing on the left and cutting off traffic in the passing lane. Those of os 5 cars behind didn't appreciate the slamming that was caused. But maybe that's how they get customers. They need better drivers.
Big Mack Towing was assigned to me via State Farm roadside assistance. Zeb came and not only helped solve my problem, but made sure my kids and I got to our next destination safely.
Do NOT do business here if you have a choice in the matter. If I could give them 0 stars I would! My family had the worst experience with these guys after suffering a tremendous loss of a loved one. The guy that “helped” them when they went to retrieve their loved one’s vehicle was very nasty and rude! #ripsergeantkennethhopkins
Quincy was such an understanding sweetheart on the phone. I never met him in person but his phone manner is A++! He made what was a stressful time into one I could laugh about. Good guys here. Can't thank them enough for dealing so well with me.
I have been waiting 3 hours in the cold. It is 25 degrees and finally when Big Mac towing arrives at 11:20 pm to tow my car, the driver informs me that he can not tow the vehicle bc he does not have the hook to tow the vehicle. I used Big Mack towing before and never had an issue with them not being able to tow the vehicle. I am byself, in the freezing cold and instead of the man trying to get another driver to assist me, he just leave me here. I am crying so much right now. Never in my life, this has ever happen to me. I called the manager for Big Mack towing and he tells me that they only have one driver that carries all the tools and hooks to be able to tow vehicles. Why not have all of your employees have every equipment to assist people. I am crying so much, I am just so disappointed and cold. Now I have to wait another two hours for help.
The driver "couldn't find" my car. He was in the complete wrong part of town and when I reminded him of the actual location he just didn't even bother. After several hours I called to locate the vehicle and was told..."I couldn't find it so i canceled it" found out from insurance he marked it as completed. thankfully I got a ride home. Never again!!
Excellent service! They let me know when the truck would arrive and kept me up-to-date every step of the way. The dispatcher and driver were both kind, courteous, and very professional.
If I could give 100 , I most certainly would. I recommend this organization with the highest of accolades.
The guy that actually came to toe the car, Stephan, was super nice and professional. Knew what he did and took care of my car like it was one of his own! Definitely deserves a 15/10!
Though, the dispatchers were very rude and unprofessional on the phone, let alone the fact they stop replying at some point….

Stephen was very helpful. The first tow truck company never arrived or called after 2 hrs. I got a message from Ford that Big Mac was on it's way in 90-120 min. A busy morning. Thank goodness. Stephen took good care of my SUV and was polite and pleasant. Thank you.
I was having a tough Monday morning. John showed up earlier than estimated, spoke clearly and concisely about what he was doing (because I asked), and was very polite and courteous. He was very pleasant to ride with and helped make an awful morning a lot more bearable. Thank you Big Mack's Towing!
They were rude on the phone. The two guys that showed up and actually towed my car were super nice and did a great job. I needed a receipt the next week to turn into insurance so I called and the and the guy on the phone was one of the rudest individuals I have ever talked to. Totally unprofessional and unhelpful. No reason for it. I have $150 bill I cannot turn into insurance because I can't get a receipt from them. So, the people on the phones are worthless but the actual guys in the truck are great. I'd stay away from them unless you enjoy your communications to come with an attitude.

Stephen reached out to me and was very helpful and his communication was spot on. I have updated my review from 1 star to 4. It sounds like I just talked to someone before that shouldn't be interfacing with customers or they were having a bad day. I don't want to classify a whole company based on that one person. Stephen was super helpful and went the extra mile to make it right. And like I said before, the guys doing the towing were very nice and did excellent work.
Got a tow from Steve, he got to me quicker than expected and got right to it. He made sure my car was strapped well and taken care of. When we got to my house he even dropped it right into my garage (I keep my car there no matter what!) I didn’t have to worry about pushing in there alone since it was after midnight. Very professional, will definitely only call them when I need a tow.
The customer service was remarkable. Stephen was very professional and down to earth as well as made me feel safe and comfortable. He made my towing experience great. Thanks again and would definitely recommend this company as well.
I cannot say this enough, Stephen was absolutely incredible! Not only did he go above and beyond with helping a damsel in distress, but he was kind enough to stay with me to make sure my ride came. Extremely professional, he called me several times to update me on his arrival. Would highly recommend Stephen at Big Mack Towing for any of your service needs.
After waiting for 2.5 hrs while my insurance attempted "to locate" a provider to jump my car, I was told this company had 46 trucks and it had been a slow night for them. Stephen gave me a card and said it would be faster to deal with them direct. After he arrived on scene the problem was corrected in about 5 minutes. Very polite and available in the dead of the night when others had dropped out.
If you need your vehicle towed, I HIGHLY recommend this company! The entire staff was patient, caring, and kind from the the beginning to the end. They came in a timely manner and way earlier than I expected. (30 mins earlier than original time discussed) Because of this, the drop-off location, which was a car repair shop, received my vehicle much earlier than anticipated! This means that my vehicle is even closer to being fixed now! To the entire staff and company, thank you so much! I am very pleased with the service I received today!
I was stranded on 540 and Stephen with Big Mack Towing showed up after another tow company attempted to accept the tow and did a no show. Stephen arrived within 35 - 45 minutes once State Farm resent the ticket out for me and he was friendly, fast and made sure I was safe and provided information on driving with a spare and all. I recommended that State Farm only use Big Mack Towing for all the roadside service needs. Stephen keep up the great job.
Stephen was very nice and professional. He took care of my vehicle and parked it better than I did. Took the time to explain a bit about the company and what they did, really appreciate an only recovery service during these times. Highly recommend!
I had a 5 star experience getting my car towed a few weeks ago. The driver that responded was Stephen Jones. He was very friendly, was there promptly, assured me that I was safe, he was very funny in light of my break down at night, and I would definitely use your services again! Stephen Thank you!!!!!
