We are so looking forward to bringing a live edge wood fireplace mantle and kitchen counter top into our home. Jacob has been going above and beyond to help us. We bought a small piece of wood at Millworks Grand Opening and now at last are moving forward to bring the warmth of live edged wood into our humble abode. Purchased a gorgeous piece of white oak and couldn’t be happier with the service. Jacob was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make custom cuts on my piece so that I could leave with it the same day. Will be returning soon for a mantle and recommend Bloom and Johnson to anyone looking for custom wood work.

My wife stopped by their store and then immediately called me to tell me how much I’d love it. She was right! They have so many one of a kind pieces that it is fun to dream up projects. We wanted to install floating shelves to match an existing mantle and they worked to find just the right reclaimed wood for us. We can’t be more pleased. They also sourced some beautiful walnut for a custom table I wanted to build. The guys have been so helpful to work with. Really appreciate them.

Definitely go to Bloom and Johnson Millworks! Jacob helped us select a mantle that would work for our new home. The wood was beautifully finished with a durable locking system to hang it. He was knowledgeable, patient and professional. Go see them for any woodworking needs like tables, mantles, beams, benches, etc.

I was wanting to re- do my office/den wall in barn wood. Spencer took my wall measurements and provided me with the square footage of boards needed. He even asked what color tone I would want. I checked his pricing against an Amazon seller and although Bloom and Johnson seemed to be a slight bit higher, it would be a false savings; the Amazon seller’s boards were all planed down to be 1/4” thick, whereas Spencer’s boards were at least 5/8” to an inch thick! This makes a BIG difference because you will want the individual boards to “pop” against the others to achieve the correct look. (If you look at the Amazon stuff it is all dimensionally flat ). These young men have the customer service/consulting thing down!! (also please note that the dimensions of the boards will vary slightly – I used a table saw to rip individual boards when I thought the variance too great.)

I was searching recently for some live edge slabs that matched for a customer counter at a boat dealership Im designing here in Mooresville! I searched through many suppliers and found Mr. Bloom! He was so accommodating, and easy to work with. The product is beautiful and will work perfectly for my design plan! He knows what is customer service, which is rare these days. I’m definitely going to buy more to build some custom coffee tables! Good job! Bloom and Johnson Mill Works provides excellent customer service and support. We purchased an antique beam from them to use as a mantle in our new home. They provided custom service by cutting the exact length needed and the color stain we wanted. My husband and I are so happy with the results. A local supplier lied repeatedly over reclaimed barn wood that was already paid for and didn’t deliver in time for me to meet a project deadline. After reaching out to Bloom and Johnson Millworks and letting them know the jam I was in the weekend before my project due date, they supplied product of much greater quality the very next morning!

Jacob was great to work with and B&J has an impressive operation and selection of wood. I purchased a beautiful piece of ambrosia maple to use as a mantel and B&J cut it down to size, flattened the piece and even drilled holes for a floating bracket mount. We purchased 97 beams for a house that we're building. As an architect, it was very important that the beams met the qualtity that we required. We were very impressed with the service and quality that we received. B&J delievered the beams on time as promised. We would highly recommend B&J to anyone looking for quality custom-milled lumber.
