The history of the wood planks and beams brings a new chapter in the life of the wood while keeping the history alive - so fun. and STUNNING!!! From start to finish our experience has been easy. From visiting Paul’s showroom and being greeted by a friendly face, to drooling over the wood flooring options and eventually settling on 7.5in new European white oak engineered flooring, we are thrilled with the quality and look of Southend Reclaimed’s wood. It does not compare with big box stores. Paul was so quick to respond to my emails and phone calls, never making me feel like I asked one too many questions. Southend Reclaimed provided all the historic Red Heart Pine flooring for my Victorian home when I renovated it. I bought 900 ft.² which is a lot. Paul Atkinson worked with me to select the right wood to match my existing historic floors and looked at photos of the floors, both upstairs and downstairs, to make sure we had the right match. Jason from his team painstakingly arranged shipping and worked with me every step of the way and this week my flooring is being installed. These photos are not finished, it’s just the wood laid in place in my new kitchen, but the flooring contractor came to me and said “you bought gorgeous wood, this wood is so fine!“ and it is. I couldn’t be happier with Paul and his team and Southend Reclaimed for their expertise, product and passion for gorgeous wood. My husband and I made the investment in historic wood and we are so glad we did it. I will add photos when it is finished in place but I highly recommend this vendor, this business, this product if you want to take your project to the next level. You won’t regret it.
I purchased laminated antique heart pine flooring from Southend Reclaimed and cannot be more pleased with the product that arrived recently. I am renovating an oceanfront cottage in Downeast Maine and needed a super stable product given template extremes and humid conditions. The purchase/sales process was very professional and efficient. I was searching to find quality hand hewn beams in the Charlotte area for my entry hallway project and stumbled upon Southend Reclaimed Wood & Brick in Davidson. What a find!! I had a great experience working with Paul Atkinson acquiring two 6' hand hewn solid beams, just what I was looking for! I was so impressed with Paul and his business that I had to write this review, something I don't normally do. He is first class and the products he sells are top notch, very impressive! If you are looking for quality rustic reclaimed post, beams (solid or faux - looks like the real thing) flooring, siding for interior or exterior, this is the place to go. When I decided to close in my porch and create a sunroom, I knew that I wanted a space that felt and looked different from the rest of the house. I wanted the room to feel like a retreat...a warm and cozy space that was somewhat of a mixture of a farm and a mountain resort. Reclaimed wood checked all of the boxes! After searching online for reclaimed wood suppliers in the Charlotte area, I found Southend Reclaimed. Paul Atkinson was very helpful and made the process easy. He helped me to pick out materials that flowed well together but offered variation so that the flooring, walls and ceiling didn't all look the same and overwhelm the space. The bold, white trim work and floor to ceiling windows break up all the wood nicely and everything works together to create the exact retreat I envisioned.
"We found Southend Reclaimed when we began our search for antique beams and mantels to use in our home. We met Paul at the Concept Cottage in Davidson to discuss what we were envisioning and to see the products they offer.
