I wish these people will learn to smile at you and at least say hello. We moved here from New Mexico five years ago and I have as yet have one of them greet me without being rude.

A quick stop in Bryson to drop off my trash! You can also drop recycle items like junk metal, old furniture, electronics and all your basic stuff. Good job Swain County!!!

People need to stop getting mad about this place being closed on a Sunday or anytime. People need breaks. It's not like they have 100 employees. Great job for the people who do work here. And what if the people who work there do have a religion and go to church. Great for them maybe you go work there and then it will be open on Sunday!!! People now days so sad.....

Our trash site is convenient, clean, safe, and the people who work there, through rain, snow, wind are extremely helpful and polite. People of Bryson City and Swain County are very fortunate to have such a place. Other areas in the state have to pay when visiting a trash recycling center! Thank You for always being respectful and helpful!!👍

I drop off loads of cardboard here in the back behind a large structure onto a conveyor belt, an attendant can help with unloading.

Not sure why the County closes it nightly. There's security cameras that Swain County sheriff's dispatch watches 24/7 and it's a well lit collection of dumpsters and trash compactors. The trash compactors have button controls on each one so anyone can run the compactor. It's free to use because our county property tax funds it... So why they do close? I guess to remind us it's a government service.

I find it very inconvenient that its closed all weekend Nov 30 and Dec 1st! What the heck?! Remember all the illegal dump sites that the county contended with a few years back? I do! This seems to me like the County does not put any forethought into making these decisions!

I mean. It gets the trash out of my house and that's great and all but I don't get why they don't open until 1 PM on a Sunday. Do you think people just don't have trash on Sundays? Regardless of whatever your religion is, trash will still exist on Sunday. Frankly it was better when it never closed. It's a dump, it doesn't need to close.
