It has become a very expensive place to buy car parts and the in store inventory is not very good almost everything needs to be ordered.

So just want to give a shout out to Victor at the Rocky point location. I've been in here a couple of times and every time I've dealt with Victor he has had great customer service. Very kind, knowledgeable, personable goes the extra mile and that is greatly appreciated nowadays. So keep up the good work Victor and thank you for your amazing customer service!

Staff sold incompatible, wrong bulb for my jeep. Had to return it to another store to get proper replacement.

Brandy has to be the best employee there hands down. She was able to slive a problem for me I spent an hour on the phone with other employees and other stores. Brandy is hands down my hero. No one else here knows anything. Get Brandy some real help.

This outlet needs an experienced staff. THEY DON'T KNOW JACK ABOUT AUTOMOTIVE PARTS . A young man needed a light bulb for his truck he was told that if he didn't know what it was for , they couldn't look it up. I took one look at the bulb and knew it was a 194 Marker light bulb. I told him to go back where the bulbs were and get a 2 pack and replace both sides. If one has gone bad the other one will go out soon. The man behind the counter asked me if I needed a job; he said we need someone like me to work there. I replied that I was an ASE CERTIFIED MASTER TECHNICIAN for 33 years and now I'm retired. I was looking for a part for a generator. After several minutes of trying to look it up on their computer I was told that I needed to get that part from Amazon. Can you beat that ??? This part is available at any mover shop in town, but it's Sunday &none are open. I just thought I'd give it a shot at Advance in ROCKY POINT N.C. since I Was In the area .

Bad battery installation.....I went in on a Monday and purchased a new battery, and the employee installed it. On Friday in the rain my van dies on HWY 210. The battery terminals were loose. I was able to get home by twisting the terminal on the post. Saturday, I go back to Advance and tell my story. The guy puts a wrench on the terminal and says that's as tight as I can get it. I reach down bare handed and pull the cable of the battery. He looks at me confused, I asked if there is any type of shim or can you replace the terminals. He goes back in the store. I grab a wrench off the cart and start taking off the leads. He brings out a shim, which doesn't work. Because now the post is too big. He in the store helping other customers, and I have to go in, get the correct parts, and install them myself.

I have been there twice now. I ended up having to go to the dealership. 1. They didn't know how to change the batteries in my remote key. 2. I paid sixty some dollars for front wipers. When we got outside to change the blades. They were the wrong ones.

My auto parts store of choice. Staff are not experts (as they are not expected to be) but are definitely willing to share experiences and helpful advice. I spend a lot of time in here and 9/10 times i am given the correct parts.

The one man helped me didn't know nothing sold me wrong part then said he couldn't take it back had oil on it. Do you use oil for a motor just asking I won't go there again.

Great job on battery change. 8 have newer model vehicle.. attendant very knowledgeable on how rk remove all connections of various components ends connected above and around battery and bypassing co.puter system. Store was extremely busy but I had a very short wait time and did not have to remind anyone that I was waiting. Chad is very professional and efficient.. hardworking..works 2 jobs and still has a great work ethic and attitude towards his customers

Excellent service was given by Stephanie. she helped us to find out that are battery was not holding a charge and we needed a new one. she got the new battery for the car and put it directly into the car so we had no more worries and were able to get home without any trouble at all. I went there because my power steering light was on. My bf went in and asked for help because neither of us knew where the fluid went. Luis the employee comes out to my car tells me where it goes. My bf goes in and asks what type we need and where it is. Luis never got up from behind the counter. Well come to find out he told us to power steering fluid in my transmission. Now I'm having to hope and pray his mistake doesn't mess up my transmission.

Horrible customer service if I could give a no star I would. Salesman wasn't knowledgeable at all about signal light. Sold me the wrong signal light I never left the parking lot parked directly in front of the store 4 minutes before closing all I needed was to switch the light he sold me for the correct one. They locked the doors so we couldn't come back in and refused to serve us because it was close to closing. It was shocking because the advance in burgaw has never been that way it was like night and day between the two stores. That was my last time going there.

Associates always helpful....must have a very small inventory because seems like most anything I need has to be ordered...I can do that. I need a auto parts store that will have stuff I need in stock.....time is money and these 2 trip deals to get a starter for a 5yr old ford is not good service.

One of the workers, Garrett, helped me yesterday. The guy went out of his way to source a part I needed and had to call around for awhile to get it. He went above and beyond what most associates and retail stores do and I think customer service should always be rewarded. Great guy.

I bought a window regulator over a year ago. Lately it's been acting up and I'm not able to move my window. After taking it out I discovered the gear was broke. I called the 800 number and they told me to take the receipt and window regulator back to the store. (Yes I still had my receipt.) A young lady named Amanda helped me out. She was a smooth operator. I didn't have to explain why I was returning it. I already knew they had to order it because they didn't have any in stock. To my surprise Amanda found one at another location. This was great to hear. Even better, it came in not two hours later. I've bought many, many items from various AAP but this one is my favorite. Everyone there, minus one, has knowledge beyond the screen. I always recieve the best customer service and always leave with a smile. :-)
