I came to AAMCO and asked to get my inner and outer rods replaced due to the rods being locked up on my 2018 Tacoma and causing Firestone to be unable to perform my alignment. Firestone said they would replace the rods for about $1000. AAMCO quoted me for around $550 but ended up only paying $172!! The mechanic called and said they were able to break the rods free and recommended keeping the Toyota rods because they were better then the after market parts they had and treated the truck like it was their own (even if they made less money!!) Even the Firestone guys were impressed because they were originally unable to get the tie rods unstuck!! Will definitely come back if I ever need honest work done for a great price. Really appreciated the help.
Thought it was a transmission problem. Turns out you fix the AC, transmission gets fixed. Although it has been almost 3 weeks since my car was serviced, Brandon called to check up on me and my car. I thought that was a nice touch. Price seemed reasonable.
My alignment shop told me my struts were leaking on my Honda Pilot. While the right side was just beginning, the left side was way worst off. AAMCO was able to get me in and out same day to replace the one on the left side. They were quick and professional. I appreciate their willingness to fit me in.

If I could give no stars I would. I had my husband take our truck here quite some time ago due to it having issues with the transmission shifting. They told him nothing was wrong with the transmission. Took it to Croms and they were able to tell me exactly what was wrong with the transmission. I'm so confused as to why my husband had to pay to be lied to. I will add that there was a check engine light on when the truck was dropped off. There were transmission codes. The truck had obvious transmission issues, such as it would only go up to 4th gear.
The guys at AAMCO are awesome! The customer service is absolutely excellent, and they give great advice when they don't want you to just waste money on something that you can get cheaper on Amazon, like parts for example. I will definitely go back to them whenever I need my vehicle serviced.
I brought my 2011 F-150 to this establishment with little to no notice for a common recall on F-150’s known as the LEAD FRAME MODULE or OBD code P0720. They fixed my problem same day. They are very respectful people and very knowledgeable on all types of vehicles. I am already using them again today for my older vehicle! Recommend highly!
This place was awesome the people are great, but make sure the problem is actually fix before you leave lot. Because I was told the car was all go, not even 2 hrs later the same problems
Exceptional service, integrity, and trustworthiness. I had an issue that was misdiagnosed by a different shop. Thinking it was a possible transmission leak; I brought my truck to AAMCO in Jacksonville NC around 12-1pm on a Friday. I was greeted as I entered the establishment. The staff upfront were courteous and professional. Within an hour I received a call that my issue was not related to the transmission. However, they still had the ability to fix the issue and had my truck ready before closing at 5pm.
This is not my first experience with AAMCO in Jacksonville NC. A few years back the transmission went out on my son’s Nissan Altima. Though they could replace his transmission, they did let us know that a new transmission would cost more than the value of the car. With that knowledge, we limped the car back home and donated it to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) so they could sell it for scrap and keep the money.
I will continue to use AAMCO of Jacksonville for any related issues and advise others to do the same.

Had this AAMCO go through a Ford E40D transmission for me after having some issues with another local transmission shop. The price was more than reasonable, turnaround time was good, and the staff was knowledgeable.
My transmission was leaking oily severely to the point I had to have it towed. I called this shop and told Brandon I thought I needed a new transmission. He said they are extremely expensive and he’d like them to take a look before they jump to a brand new transmission. Within 3 days my car was fixed and ready for pick up (no new transmission needed). A week later I noticed some leaking. I called and Brandon told me I could swing it by. The technician took a look and called me out to show me the residual fluid and explained everything. They dried it out a little bit more at no charge. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
Unfortunately It’s hard to find a honest shop in Jacksonville and as a resident for the last five years I can say it’s really annoying always worrying about being scammed. Luckily Amco is one of the good ones with super honest technicians who know what they are talking about and do quality work. Highly recommend using this business if you are looking for a trustworthy solution!

I had AAA tow my car. From my understanding, they had broke a bolt in the shifter cable from towing my AWD suv with without a flatbed tow. I was going to have the company pay for it but Brandon willingly covered it for me. I appreciate Brandon and for this alone, I have given his business a 5 star rating. Thanks, Brandon!

Never again, first time service was not done properly as i had to return to have a leak fixed. Second time customer service was terrible we made an appointment first thing in morning and confirmed this, which later found out it was first come first serve we were the first ones in the door then the story changed again, then we were told it takes nearly 5 hours to cool down to perform a service as an experienced tech this was a complete lie. We were looking for a good shop when our schedules become busy however after this poor interactions of repeated issues we will never return.
Was very quick. Only delays were waiting my place in line. Very fair and truthful, so I could make an informed decision. Being an older woman I appreciate the honesty. I had to weigh my options, was it worth the cost. Afterspeaking to Brandon, he brought up some really good pros VS. Cons. It helped me solidify my decision to "get er' done".
From transmission procurement to installation, it was lightning speed. I picked up my vehicle and I have to return to have a 10 day check up for after care. Along as Brandon is here, I will send everyone here.
Never again. My sons truck sat two days and when I finally got through to someone they said “oh we couldn’t find anything wrong, keep driving it and bring it back if you have issues” well the truck had issues. Big time. Had we kept “driving it “ it would have been worse. Took it somewhere else (a family owned place off Piney Green, Crom) immediately felt better about the quality of the services. This is NOT the same great AAMCO it once was. Don’t waste your time.
From the FIRST call, the estimate, customer service, and the delivery of my car to me was the quickest I have ever had the pleasure of being VERY SATISFIED with!!! Brandon was very honest, up front with time frame and everything! I will be returning again for service .
We had an appointment, that was not on the books, took several days to even find out what was wrong, then a few more days to replace the transmission. The cost was more that we expected. They were pleasant and kept us up-to-date with what was happening with our truck.
My clutch burned up and I was recommended to AAMCO by Jeb at Liberty Tire to Brandon. I needed my car fixed as fast as possible and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend if you need any engine repairs at all done. I was also quoted a very reasonable price, and Brandon will help you out if he can.
Very customer satisfaction oriented. I had a power train policy and they argued to have the insurance company cover the repair. They got the authorization and less than a week later I had a brand new transmission. I’ll be back with my truck ( no insurance) to get a repair that I was putting off. Thank you Brandon.
I just want to say I am very blessed to have dealt with this business. I had a mechanic before I brought my car here "working" on my car for a year and half. That mechanic had done nothing to my car, but let it sit for so long. I wish I took my car here sooner because they are very honest and diagnosed every problem my car had within 3 days. The whole team is amazing and honest. I had talked to a manager Brandon specifically that was very forward and pleasant to talk to. I wish that I could give them money for diagnosing my car and the time they spent, but was kindly refused due to a policy they have. I will be using this business because I trust them unlike every other mechanic in town.
Staff went above and beyond my expectations. Spoke with Brandon he was patient, knowledgeable, understanding, accommodating to my need to have my car towed since I am not from NC I put all my trust in him and this facility and was not disappointed until the next day when I had another issue despite the previous service this was unavoidable I was attended to by the owner Chase again my car was towed by the facility and I was driven home the issue was fixed within 24hrs. All prices were quoted to me prior to work being done. Customer service was outstanding. If you have a problem with this garage my guess is the problem begins and ends with you.
Extremely professional and fast service. My Kia Rio needed a new clutch. I called around to several shops and AAMCO was not only willing to humor my questions but they were fair on price. Taken many cars in to different auto places over the years being in the military and this was one of the best experiences
I was without my vehicle for 8 months due to the transmission. I called and spoke with Mr. Chase about the matter and without hesitation he agree to take on the job.
He was extremely professional from beginning to the end. He explained the cost and the amount time it would take to complete the repairs.
I had my vehicle back in approximately 2 weeks and all the work that was done was backed with a warranty.
Mr.Chase and his team did an amazing job. Everyone was super courteous and open to any questions I had during the process. Friendly and affordable service, I would recommend them to anyone without a shadow of doubt.

I called them up to see if they would be able to check CVT Fluid in my daughters Jeep and the gentleman on the phone said to bring it by the next day. So I proceeded to AAMCO the next morning and promptly they took it in. Found out it was two quarts over! They drained it to the correct level and sent me on my way. Didn’t charge me for the guy’s time or anything. Great interaction with them. Trusted name for a reason.
From the time I arrived Chase greeted me and was so friendly and professional. Everyone else was so friendly. I had my transmission serviced and I couldn’t think of a better place to go. They got my van back and serviced and was done in a timely manner. George kept me company and sat and chatted. I will be back, and I will be recommending them to anyone that needs work. Thank you guys for being so great!
They have done all they could to find out whats wrong with my car. They did a courtesy check on all my sensors and computer codes as well. They did not give up and its one of those things that is hard to pinpoint since no codes are showing and nothing coming up from general check. They were understanding about my frustration with timeliness and did not rip me off. Customer service was good too. The guy Chad even told me I could borrow his car if mine cut off on my birthday.
