Lied about the work they did and gave me a “discount”.
I paid them to replace my valve cover gasket about 2 months ago, its leaking real bad now and I took it to another mechanic who informed me that it looks like they just slapped some sealant over the old one. They lied to me about the work done and this new mechanic showed me exactly what they did. Shoddy work and a lie to a customer.
From the moment I walked into this shop, I knew the reviews I read were spot on. The man and his crew run a very tight shift. I had called about a few broke wheels bolts that I had broken off.. everywhere else was telling me $180 to possibly $400! This shops' price was almost half that, under $140 for my car. Walked in and before I was even able to complete the car check in, someone was grabbing my keys and putting it on the lift. The mechanics beat the estimated time to do that job and was able to be rolling again in less than an hour. Truly an amazing experience! Anytime I'm around, I will definitely remember them over anyone else! Thank you LaPointe for giving me ease of mind with no hassle!

It makes a difference while you are waiting to felt seen. I didn't expect anyone to stop what they are doing but the gentleman at the desk was very sweet. He stopped and chatted with me in between what he was doing while I waited.

I only trust Lapointe's with my daughter's Jeep. Above and beyond is the only way to explain this shop and everyone who we've encountered. The heart, the experience, and dedication to fixing the vehicle has blown my mind and warmed my heart. A 2000 Jeep Wrangler with all the fun problems. Transmission, oil, brakes, the horn, power, and a partridge in a pear tree. They have been the only shop who could help with the Transmission. Like I said, 20 stars. Won't go anywhere else.

I called around to all the hundred shops in the area and yet again lapoint has the best prices. They are always honest and upfront with costs and what needs to be done and what can wait. I have been the the shop a few times in my year that I have lived here and they continue their good name. Thanks a bunch for keeping me safe on these crazy Jacksonville roads.

The mechanic and owner were very polite and came highly recommended by the local dealership. Price was fair and reasonable. Although my truck was not repaired, they gave me the info needed, to provide to the dealership, in order to have my truck repaired for free under a recall issue. Would definitely utilize their services again.
I CANNOT say enough about how amazing the service is at LaPointe's. My van broke down, would not start (for the 3rd time in 2 years) towed it to the local dodge dealership, where I was told it would take 3 days before anyone could "look" at it. Eventually, the dodge dealership did a diagnostic test and said it was my fuel pump and would cost me $1,927.75. My jaw dropped, I have 4 kids under the age of 13, with school, work, sports, I was freaking out. I needed my van ASAP. After calling what felt like everywhere, my friend told me to call LaPointe's. BEST DECISION hands down!!!!! I was quoted less than $800 and so after having my van towed from the dodge dealership to LaPointes (approx. 930am) I was called around 5:10pm from LaPointe's letting me know everything was fixed AND gas tank was filled because it was low, that it was ready to go and less than $800 for everything. Also in case you missed it. It was done SAME DAY I called. I will go no where else for my vehicle needs moving forward, in addition to refering to LaPointe's every opportunity I get. I will forever be grateful that there are still places like THIS around. Thank you LaPointe's!!!!
The owner was extremely nice and got all the work done on my vehicle quick, fast and a hurry. My alignment only cost 89.99 which is better than most shops in the area. Thank you for all the hard work!
Brian was great and upfront with me about all parts, labor, etc. The turn around was quick and efficient.
I had some coils replaced along with my spark plugs, intake gasket, valve covers, and an oil change. I dropped my car off at 1630 on Wednesday and picked it up at 1700 on Thursday.
4.5/5hrs off Labor cost me $450. Very reasonable.
I'm glad I found a mechanic in town that won't nickel and dime me!
His mechanics even took photos of my car for me to show the damage for proof. I really appreciated that they are so transparent and honest.

Let me start by by saying I'm really nervous about having other people work on my truck, but after my experience with these guys I wouldn't hesitate to bring my truck back here. They were honest about how long repairs would likely take and Brian kept me updated about warranty and repair updates.
On our way home with a perfectly working vehicle less than an hour after showing up! Brought in a 2004 Ram 1500 with no ac/heat/defrost, no air coming out at all. They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in less than an hour for a really good price.

I went there five times to get one sensor replaced but it seemed the parts dealers were sending the wrong part. LaPointe and his employees were knowledgeable, professional and kept me in the loop. I wouldn't hesitate to have them work on my vehicle again.
I brought exhaust tips purchased from American Muscle for my 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye, and Brian's crew did an amazing job (Zak) removing my stock exhaust tips, resonators, and cutoffs to replace them with Big Boz red powder coat tips. I love how they came out, and the price and work were phenomenal. I would highly recommend his shop, plus Brian fixed my MINI's tire that had a 4-inch wood screw with a patch. Bravo Zulu!

Awesome shop. Fair prices amazing staff. Very pleased I decided to take my mini van in and have the water pump replaced. Will definitely be back. I took my van in to be repaired on Monday, they had it fixed in no time. However it had another issue that we were unaware of, so we called on Tuesday, they sent a tow truck to pick it up. They kept it overnight to find out what was wrong with it. They found the issue and fixed it as well. I so appreciate everything they have done to keep my old van running. I recommend them to everyone. They are amazing people that truly care about their customers not just about making money. They have become the only shop I call when my vehicles are in need of repair. I'm a customer for life.
