I live in Northwoods and I use primarily MyMechanic and Lapointes Automotive. In the 11 years I've been here I've tried a lot of mechanics. What I really appreciate about MyMechanic is their stellar billing and documentation system. Everything is documented, photographed, video taped, and very clear. It is a superb system of transparency. Even though I generally trust and appreciate our mechanic it's way easier to trust them with everything documented in this way. And because I don't always fully understand what's going on, their system makes it so that I can Google things and look over their shoulder and it just makes me more comfortable. In times past I found myself secretly wondering if I got screwed over because I didn't have clarity or understanding and had to rely solely on the word of my mechanic. I don't have any reason to distrust them, but sometimes doubt creeps into the back of my mind. I don't like thinking that way so it's really nice seeing a video of the leak, and them saying "we are fixing THAT leak by doing X, Y, and Z. Initial here if you want us to do THAT." And it's so simple because it's all happening on my phone via text. MyMechanics prices have been pretty on par with others (often I'd assume BETTER) and their staff are very customer-centric. They have exceedingly good customer service. I really love Brian over at LaPointes too but I've been using MyMechanic more and more lately because their schedule has worked well with mine and because I've been tackling some messier ongoing problems with one of my older vehicles and they are being resolved one after the other. I feel like their system makes them better at picking up where they left off and remembering exactly what needs to happen next. My memory is terrible so this system is a God send for guys like me! So I give 5 stars to MyMechanic. they are a trustworthy outfit and a net positive for the neighborhood. I send my friends and family to MyMechanic and Lapointes and I hold high esteem for both shops.
I am 100% well pleased with the way My Mechanic handled the repairs and issues with my vehicle. They are great people and I definitely recommend them to others.
Everything about this establishment is top notch. From the person answering the phone to the mechanics. I would recommend anyone who has car issues to give this mechanic a shop a go.

Repaired oil drain pan and new plug that had been rounded off by local 50% off 10 minute oil business that had done my last 5 or so oil changes. The company couldn’t get it out at oil change. Took to My mechanic and for very affordable price fixed it quickly and placed new plug. They also took pictures under my car and of engine bay issues they saw. Checked all fluids and for leaks/brakes/ issues. That was a great surprise as better to know than find out on the side of the highway. It’s hard to know what’s going on under the car and now I have pics! Staff professional and all good people politely repairing cars. Definitely will be back when need repairs! My steering fluid hoses broke on January 1st. They kindly assessed my car the following day, called me with a reasonable parts quote, ordered it for Monday afternoon and I received my car repaired that night. The crew were very helpful, friendly, and respectful of my situation. I would recommend My Mechanic to anyone who needs automotive service.
The money light came on. They found the source of the problem without throwing parts at . Saved me money and left with the confidence that the repair was done correctly. Will go back as needed. It's a GMC pickup. So it doesn't have to repaired often !
My Mechanic repaired my grandsons car. The service was fast. The customer service is excellent. I live out of town and was paying for the repair, they made this so easy And I would highly recommend them for any car repair that you need. Such nice awesome people. Thank you very much My Mechanic.
On my 21 ram bighorn, I needed new lightbulbs. I purchased LED only to find out if that is the wrong bulb to use by the owner, Brandon. He directed me to a local auto parts store and tell me which one to purchase that was ultra bright made by Sylvania. He is extremely reasonable with time and money. I will definitely be using Brandon in the future and his team of Top-of-the-line mechanic mechanics here in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

From the moment they picked up the phone when I called to the moment I drove off their lot the whole experience was trouble free. Their attitude is professional and cheerful. I almost wish my car starts to act up so I can go back... almost.

My oil light would come on whenever I let off the gas. I had the oil changed and it made no difference. Additionally, I had a message on the dash to service the 4 wheel drive system and the carrier made a terrible lk e noise when I put it into drive. I called My Mechanic to make an appointment. They told me if I could drop the car off they would try to work it in. I dropped it off and they sent me a message in 2 days that it was done. I picked it up and it drove perfect. They could have charged me anything but they are very honest people. It turned out that they replaced the oil pressure sensor and a sensor in one of the tires. The total bill was less than expected and the service was great. I will recommend them to anybody who wants professional, affordable service.

I went to My Mechanic to get my daughter vehicle fixed, she needed two wheel studs replaced. I was referred there by Discount Tires, I received great customer service. Up front I was informed about the procedure and what other issues that could be defective. They had video their findings and sent it to my phone to review , that was excellent. They gave me an up front estimate and was in that range when they finished. I would be happy to recommend anyone to them. The mechanic took the time to answer other questions that I had in order to make the vehicle run smoother. Awesome
Everyone at this shop was very kind, from the second I called about prices I was treated like family, they were honest and kind. They had my car for a couple of days only to insure that they could tell exactly what the problem was instead of fixing something that wasn’t broken. Not only did they replace and fix my starter they took a look at a bunch of other things so now I know what condition the rest of my car is in. I would recommend this place to anyone. Billie was probably the kindest and most knowledgeable customer service person i’ve talked to. I will use my mechanic every time. 10/10
I quickly received an appointment for the next day. They found the source of my problem and identified another. Provided me with estimates for repair. All in all, very pleasant experience.
I finally found a place I can take my car and trust that they are not trying to rip me off bc I'm alone. I've been there a few times and I've never felt pressured or taken advantage of! Super important for single women in my opinion! They are super friendly folks! Im so glad I went. Two people from work recommended them!! I like them alot and highly recommend!
Pre purchase inspection was thorough and staff was professional and courteous! The communication, including the report was top of the line for a pre purchase inspection! If I'm ever buying another car in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!
Matt, Billie, and Brandon were all super helpful. They kept me informed with what was going on with my car. When I did have an issue they were able to warranty the part and get me on my way quickly.
They diagnosed a purge valve. Said I may or may not need to replace it, depending on of the check engine comes back on- Not money hungry. Gave me the tip to not "top off" the gas when pumping gas. Welp, the light came back on. I'm going to have to get it replaced.
When I moved to Jacksonville, I was searching for a reputable mechanic to replace the one I had before. I have been so pleased with My Mechanic and their services. I use them for my routine maintenance and appreciate their guidance on what needs attention. I recently needed some repairs and they fit me in and took excellent care of me. I recently went to My Mechanic for some help and I wanted to give some honest feedback…. Brandon and Billie were so kind, helpful and so easy to talk to. They worked me in for a last minute need and, while I was waiting, I got to listen in to how they treat the rest of their customers on the phone, as well as in-store. They were great! Each customer had their full attention. I even noticed that there were Several repeat customers that stopped by with big smiles on their faces and firm handshakes to give thanks for taking care of their needs. Repeat customers?! That says a lot!! They’ve got my business now!
I've had work done here several times. The work is awesome. This is the first place that has taken pictures, given recommendations, and didn't try to up sale me. I recommend this place to my friends and it is the only place I use. A trustworthy business is hard to find these days.
Great place to get a car worked on. Was quote over a $1000 of urgent work at a dealership in town. Most of the work was not required until next service (6 months-1 year), the rest was not required at all. Was able to get it done for $200. The dealership also missed an error code on the system computer that had not been addressed. Was repaired for about $120. Came highly recommended by a friend, they out performed what I had expected.
The guys at "My Mechanic,," are awesome. I've had bad experiences in the past taking my car to a repair shop, and getting ripped off, but thats all behind me now they are very reasonable. Billie is also an asset to the business, she is very sweet and knowledgeable. If your looking for good, honest mechanics you need to bring your vehicle to ," My Mechanic"!
My Mechanic kept us informed of what was happening and quickly fixed our dead van. (Burned out starter due to the Stop/Start feature that is supposed to save gas.) They do an amazing job and I highly recommend them.
