My 2014 Impala was rear-ended @ Hwy 24 & Piney Green rd in am traffic. Took my car in for repairs. Was able to get in and also worked with insurance. Service was excellent, mechanic stayed in contact, answered all my questions without hesitation. Friendly, reliable, and trustworthy. Highly recommend for any automotive repairs.
Mr. Norris and crew worked on both my vehicles: replaced a catalytic converter for my 2015 Kia Forte Ex and Fixed my oil leak in my 2012 Chevy Avalanche. I was very satisfied. They do great quality and affordable work.

Needed the head replaced on my 2009 Chevy HHR. Willis Automotive was the only shop outside the dealer who would even consider the job. Great people to deal with, more than fair pricing, and quality service. Had a problem with the remanufactured head which I purchased and took to them. They found the problem, hashed it out with the auto parts store for me, and had everything done in a couple of days. Very professional leadership and crew, and as of last Friday, they will be my "Go Too" shop for all my vehicles. Can't say enough good things about them! If you need repair work done, they are the ones to do it!

To Mr. Norris Willis and his awesome team, I say: Impeccable service, extreme detailed quality, dependable, fair price, honest, forthright, and TRUEST TO A MAN WHO DOES WHAT HE SAYS HE’S GONNA DO! We have 2008 Chrysler Town and Country handicap conversion minivan that my wife uses as a daily driver and for our handicap son for wheelchair ramp access. I had noticed an engine oil leak last year, however, in the last 3 months it had gotten worse and worse. Looking at the engine especially underneath was a nasty dirty oily mess. After adding top off oil to keep it up on the dipstick a few times, the leak did was leaks do best; they get worse! The thought of that engine locking up from leaking too much oil while my wife and son would be out using it was a nightmare. Mr. Norris and his awesome team took it in, he cleaned the engine to see exactly where the leaks where coming from and then informed me of what was needed and how much cost. Oil pan gasket, front main seal, and informed me the rear brakes needed to be done. I was all in and thankfully agreed to please have it all done. He called to inform me that it was done. We went to the shop and he walked out with me open it up and look it over. I can’t tell you how much of a sense of overwhelming relief came over me to look at a clean, dry engine and see a brand-new quality oil pan gasket underneath. I was so happy and relieved when I got home, I had to open it up and just stare at it again because I know what kind of mess was under that hood prior to Willis Automotive Custom Repair put their amazing hands on it.
I can tell you from experience that you are not going to get this quality of trustworthy automotive service anywhere else. And if you think a dealer service department is going to treat you or do better, you better think again, unless you like getting ripped off. To that point, prior to me leaving his shop, I was already asking about getting another job done on my truck.

They are the most honest and fair mechanics I have met since I’ve been in Jacksonville! I highly recommend them to anyone! After another mechanic had misdiagnosed the problem with my car, they were quick and efficient to get my car fixed! They are great with communication as they explained everything they did to my car. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this mechanic shop. When I was turned away from my usual mechanic shop in town because they were not up to the task to fix my older van, I frantically called around to find another one (the van had to be towed so it was difficult getting it from one spot to the other and I was on a serious time crunch). I called many places that told me they didn’t have room or weren’t available till the following week, but when I called this shop, a lovely gentleman answered the phone and told me no worries we will take a look and see what we can do. I was quoted MUCH cheaper than my usual mechanic and they were able to fix my van promptly. They kept me informed along the way and never pushed me on extra repairs, as I told them my goal was just to get her back on the road. Such a great positive experience I truly recommend them to everyone, even the several tow company’s I spoke to had positive things to say about this shop. Ive been in the area on and off for quite some years now, and been to many different mechanics here in town, and can confidently say this is by far my favorite one, and will be returning for all my car needs from here on out.
This was my inaugural experience availing services here, and it will certainly not be the last. I found myself in need of urgent vehicle maintenance as my regular service provider was unattainable due to their technicians being on holiday, with no availability until the 2nd of January of the following year. Such a delay was impractical for me considering the daily obligation of chauffeuring my children to school, among other commitments, and with my husband occupied at work throughout the day. Fortuitously, this establishment was responsive and agreed to attend to my vehicle. I am pleased to report that the repair work was completed expeditiously, accompanied by exemplary customer service. My husband also intends to utilize their services for his vehicle as his schedule permits. I extend my heartfelt gratitude; your service has concluded our year on an uplifting note. Thank you!
This place is very honest and efficient. I was told by autozone that my accelerator was very bad and needed to be replaced within a week. They said they sold them but couldn’t replace it for me so I had to look else where. I called many other auto shops near by where A) they only work on cars if you bought their parts, or B) they all quoted me an estimate of $200-600 for just the labor. I called up Willis and they gave my a great quote and told me they could squeeze me in and finish it on the same day. Brought the car by and they said the info didn’t sound right. Checked my battery and accelerator and said nothing was wrong with it and that advised me to return the part and save my money, that it was likely just mechanic glitch that caused battery warning. Thank you for being honest instead of taking advantage of the situation! I will now on only be coming to this shop and bringing friends/family here.
Highly recommend!! I originally called because a diagnostic and quoted repair from another shop in town was going to cost over $1,000 with no guaranteed resolution of the problem that we were having with our car. I questioned this and contacted and spoke to a man on the phone I believe was Willis. He quoted the same repair for less than half of the price and also asked why I wanted the specific replacement. I explained the vehicle’s issues and he offered to do an in house diagnostic because the recommended repair did not seem to be correct based on information that I was able to give. We took our vehicle in on Monday 23JAN2023, and we’re able to pick it up later the same day. The diagnosed problem was O2 sensors and not fuel pump(originally quoted), which resulted in us paying significantly less as well as avoiding additional costs for additional repairs. We have been driving our vehicle for almost a week now and “smooth like butter” is how the car is driving compared to before he helped us. This kind man and this shop genuinely helped us. We need new brakes soon and I will not go to or recommend another mechanic in Jacksonville other than Willis Automotive. He was honest up front, kind, knowledgeable, and serviced our vehicle for a very reasonable price and turn around time. God bless you and thank you so much for helping our family!!

Our car recently broke down. We were weary after having experienced subpar and/or dishonest services from area auto shops. We went on the hunt and found Willis Automotive Repair. Their beaming detailed reviews drew us in. The fact that their customers took time out to leave glowing detailed reviews spoke volumes.
The work that they did for us was absolutely top notch. They kept us informed every step of the way, patiently answered all of our queries, and totally squashed our concerns. They didn't judge us for having an old car, a car that we drive very carefully and take great care of. They rebuilt the top part of the engine and made other necessary repairs. The engine has been running ever so smoothly and beautifully since then!
A couple of weeks later, an unexpected part died, causing the car to stall in the middle of the road. Thankfully, the morning rush hour had passed and we were on a side road with minimum traffic. JPD's non-emergency services were called just to ensure road safety while we made arrangements for the car to be towed to Willis Automotive Repair. Mr. Willis and his son were able to take us in and make the repairs the same day!
We truly appreciate their transparency and willingness to explain each repair and cost. They take pride in their work and it really shows. Their quality work is undeniable. Willis Automotive Repair has now become our designated auto shop!
I own a 2013 Dodge Challenger. Doesn't everyone in Jacksonville? Regardless, it was having an engine issue. Willis Automotive's diagnostic fee was less than competing auto shops. Once Willis got into the engine, he and his assistants, quickly discovered and repaired my vehicle within a day. I was very happy with the results. She's running better than when I originally purchased her. Mr. Norris Willis was really nice and his staff professional. I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of, like sometimes happens at other shops. His labor fee was reasonable, his charges on parts comparable, and my total fee expected. He communicated and kept me informed. I will definitely go back if I have any new problems with the ol' challenger.
Professional, knowledgeable, capable, and willing is the most concise way for me to both praise Willis Automotive Repair, and reassure anyone thinking of bringing their vehicle here. Our vehicle had a catastrophic failure that destroyed the engine. Willis Automotive was the only shop who expressed the ability and willingness to rebuild the engine. The online reviews helped me feel comfortable to work with Willis Automotive. The pricing for the work was very competitive with the quoted pricing for installing a used engine from all other local area repair shops. The pricing was well under the costs to buy a new engine and have it installed. Mr. Willis and his son Nolan Jr. did excellent work, always took the time to explain the work being done, and they always tried to keep costs down by evaluating whether components required replacement or not. The rebuild took some fine tuning and adjustments, which Willis Automotive was happy to do, and now we have a great running vehicle that we are confident in. Norris, Norris Jr, and staff, thank you for the great work. It is very nice to do business with folks who stand by their work and take pride in what they do.
Gone there several times with different cars or different problems. Each time I have had honest feedback on what should and shouldn't be fixed. They never tried to upsell me like many other shops do. My first experience with this family owned company was speaking with Mr. Norris about what I wanted to do with my 75 Olds. What I wanted to do could have cost a lot of money. Instead of jumping on the opportunity to make extra money, he took the time to explain better and more cost effective options. Each experience I've had with them has been above expectation.
Update- My opinion of this place has not changed. Norris Jr is his dad's son. He is just as respectful and honest as his dad. They charge fair prices for their work and back it up. I still highly recommend this place of business where they still know you by your name.
After being jerked around by the ford dealership and price checking I found Willis auto, called and got their price and I promise you won’t find a cheaper diagnostic fee. I had repaired the issue but the lights wouldn’t go off and they simply reset my car. Alot of places could’ve taken advantage of that but they quickly got me taken care of. Brittany was a great help and a great hostess. I scheduled my next oil change with them right on the spot. Best shop I’ve found in Jacksonville: thanks again guys!
I called about 10 different auto shops to change my wheel bearing on my 07 mustang and none were able to do it same day besides this shop. Did a fantastic job, bearly any waiting at all took care of me in a pretty reasonable time. Great people and great shop they know what they are doing here, no posers.
This is my second time working with this mechanic and both times they have been great. They always keep in touch and never do anything without my permission. I've taken an 86 Ford truck to them and a 2010 suv and they were great with both. These guys can do anything! Reasonable prices and time frame, they never stretch out a repair to try to get more money. Call ahead because they might be able to take your vehicle earlier than listed in their online hours
The only shop in town I’ll bring my vehicle to. Willis automotive has been performing maintenance on my 79 Caprice ever since I got it. They’re honest, professional, and offer great advice so that you don’t waste money. They exceeded my expectations on my new engine.

Willis automotive is the best automotive repair shop in Jacksonville. They are friendly very courteous and the prices are fair! Mr. Norris is amazing! My trucks engine needed to be replaced...it was a job that most mechanics would not take on because of how messed up it was due to another mechanics negligence. There were parts everywhere and so many parts were broken but Mr. Norris accepted the challenge! I did not have to worry about a thing! He had the truck towed for me and repaired it within a week! I will definitely be utilizing his services again! He is hands down the best of the best! If you are looking for a mechanic...no need to look any further! Stop by his shop....it WILL be the best decision you could ever make for your vehicle!
