They were not able to get a good low mileage used transmission, but were able to totally rebuild the existing structure with new parts. Communication with Josh was excellent.

Worst place i ever had to take my car, the service was horrible, the owner was very rude and loud, I paid to get my transmission rebuilt and three times they offered me a used transmission, a part of me believes that my transmission was not rebuilt, my car doesn't drive the same or fill the same, and they also damaged the frame of my car, Thank for replying, you have proved my point of how much of a bad business owner and the coward that you are, I told you numerous of times the problem that my car was having since you guys have worked on it, your business had my car 2 months and was only supposed to have it for 1 week. It's so appalling to me that you reply to my review, when I said all these things face-to-face to you, And you did not try to resolve anything.

This is the second time I have had to use their services and they have not disappointed me yet. I recommend AAMCO for your vehicle transmission needs. They are reliable and will work with you regarding payment options if needed.

Brad and team completely rebuilt my transmission in January. The parts ended up being faulty and without one complaint, they totally ate the cost of labor and rebuilt the transmission that was still under warranty. I super appreciate all their hard work. They definitely went above and beyond to make it right!

Josh at aamco went above and beyond. Tells you honestly what to expect before you pay a dime and gives suggestions above just to make money. A bit pricy as all transmission shops are but it is worth it. I will be coming back in the future.

Talk about honest and reliable mechanics. These guys are the best. Came in with a passanger van that had a bunch of issues. Not only did they help with the decision process of what needed to be done now vs later based on use, they went above and beyond to help keep the cost as affordable as possible. Now the van runs like a dream. I will be bringing all my future business here. Brad & Josh are amazing people as well.

Great Experience!! Fourth place I went to. Finally got a clear understanding of what was wrong with my transmission and have a clear game plan on moving forward. Also, the price was much more competitive. Everyone there was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.

Five years ago, I brought one of my vehicles in for repair at Aamco Pineville and met the owner, Brad Gregerson. I was so impressed by their service that I enthusiastically gave them a 5 star review. We own two fairly old vehicles ('07, '08) that have required various and sometimes significant repairs and services but hey, one of them is a Jeep Wrangler so what can you expect... Brad and his team have always treated us well, been responsive, looked for ways to save money on parts and just overall made what can be a crappy experience very positive. Most important though, is that their work is great. I've never had a problem with something that Brad's team has fixed, which has included a replaced transmission. I've used local dealer shops and with only some exception have not had great experiences and always leave with a huge hole in the wallet. Aamco Pineville blows then away. Take it from a long time customer, Brad and team are great!

If you’re having any problems with your car, I would highly recommend consulting with Brad. In a time when honesty and integrity are in short supply, Brad showed both. Definitely the person you want assessing your vehicle.

WARNING!!!! Do not take your vehicle to this Nightmare on Pineville Street. Took my Dodge 3500 in to get transmission rebuilt was told it was going to take ABOUT AWEEK..me, calling every week for 4 weeks, to see if my vehicle was ready for pickup. I was told every week they were waiting on parts,LOL,then I was told my speedometer does not work after they put the transmission in, NOT before when they tested the vehicle.LOL. Week 5 I was told vehicle is ready. When I went to pick it up transmission fluid was leaking under my truck now we have another week to wait for them to totally destroy my truck.I needed my truck and did not want these people to touch any more of my truck so I paid the price for them to ruin my truck but fix the transmission now I have not only noticed my speedometer does not work the odometer does not work, plugins we're tucked on top of the transmission that fell down one day that was supposed to be plugged in simple freaking plug-in. Cadillac converter and Muffler was dragging in the street because they forgot to connect and tighten the connectors back up under the truck and guess what?¿ the transmission is leaking again worst customer service I have ever seen in my life..Mr Brad the slickster told me it would cost me an additional $800 to fix my speedometer that was already working before I took it to this nightmare shop I have called corporate of AAMCO several times left messages, the aamco message says do not leave multiple messages.. but I think A month's time in between calls is more than enough time for a call back..i have heard nothing from them.. I truly wish I would have read the reviews of this nightmare place before I trusted these people to even look at my vehicle I hope this helps someone before they go through my wonderful experience at this Aamco.Now you have been WARNED!¡!

Talk about amazing service! Brad went above and beyond to get my vehicle in for service after two other places let me down. He was very helpful, transparent, and friendly. Will recommend this location to anyone who needs good vehicle service. 10 out of 10!

Brad and Carol were wonderful throughout the entire process. They were upfront about the potential costs of the work, worked with me on figuring out what was best for my vehicle, helped to answer every question I had, and remained true to their word from start to finish.

I had my transmission rebuilt here. I was recommended through my work. Owner was very polite and friendly. I have no issues with the owner. I called and spoke with I believe Mike a couple years ago that I was having issues with my transmission. His first words were I would have to pay a fee just to have it looked at. Now I spent $3,500 dollars to have my transmission built stronger to handle my horsepower. So I didn't think that was acceptable. Now I come back from mustang week and the transmission breaks just outside of Columbia,SC. Nice $750 dollar tow bill. Pretty sure the front pump shaft broke. Which was supposed to be upgraded. Now I'm stuck with a non drivable vehicle because it's out of warranty because of time not mileage. I put very few miles on my vehicle and didn't expect a breakdown in less than 5000 miles. So I would be leary of this business because your stuck with it no matter what you pay. We take care of customers at my business. Update... Talked with the owner and got the run around. Refused to repair under warranty because of time not mileage. So basically I paid $ 3,600 for a upgraded trans to handle 500 horsepower and it lasted 6000 miles. And had to sell the car. Don't waste your time or money here.

No other way around it, famous for up charging people, and I learned the hard way they’re famous for running you in circles and not fixing your car after they’ve already charged you. Spent close to $1,100 bucks and they still didn’t figure out what was wrong with my car still messed up and $1,100 out-of-pocket Trust the yelp reviews and don’t trust this place. Sketchy isn’t the word

This place was such a nightmare. We took my car there and they first told us it was going to be $150 for a diagnostic check then I got a form to approve for them to start checking my car and it said it was going to be $187 after “tax and tools” I approved it, a few hrs later they called me back to get more details on the issue, I told them what was wrong. The next day I got a call saying they needed to do a different kind of diagnostic and it was going to be $200 per hour! Then they told me my balance as of that moment it was $900! They said they were charging me more because of the extra details I had given them the day prior haha so total they wanted to charge me $1,700 for a diagnostic check. DO NOT GO HERE, most dishonest place! They didn’t even do anything to my car to fix it!

I don't even know where to begin! I was on my way to work & my Transmission went on me! I had my 2019 Ford Escape towed to AAMCO Transmission in Pineville N.C.. From the door Brad was excellent & had a great personality! Crystal reached out to me a few days later to give me the diagnostics of the vehicle. I explained my situation to Crystal & she advised so many ways for myself to get help to repair my car. I tried financing companies Crystal referred me to, didn't work out!! When I tell you God is so good, that I truly believe that he puts some special people in your path for a reason! Crystal, I cannot that you & your team enough for repairing my car for me! It is running great! I actually was able to drive home tonight, 2hrs & my ride was great! Thank you to the Technicians that did the actual work! I am so grateful to the Brad's Transmission Team, you guys went above & beyond to get me back on the road! Most of all Crystal you are an ANGEL sent from Heaven! Thank you. I’m definitely satisfied with the work done to my vehicle. I had a transmission and an engine put in a 2011 Yukon Denali XL. My truck runs great. Brad and his team definitely took care of every issue my truck could bring to the table. Definitely will be taking my other vehicles as well, when needed.

Do NOT trust these guys! They do bad business. I originally brought my car in under a 3rd party warranty and the warranty company called and told me that it was supposed to be 200 and then I went to pay and Aamco said that they were charging me a few hundred more. I fought with them and the warranty company and AAMCO and they resolved it. My car started having the same issue and I brought it in 2 months later, come to find out that it what they fixed was not the culprit and they charged me 100 for oil, that I did NOT authorize and 150 for diagnostics and told me I had to bring it to the dealer. This should have been under their own warranty!! Buyer Beware!

The service was great! I had taken my vehicle to a couple of non- transmission specialists and they do convinced on swapping out my transmission. AAMCO mechanic took time to really evaluate what I was experiencing, personally. He did some research on my vehicle and issue and pinpointed the problem without me paying extra diagnostics to have a regular mechanic drill down to the problem which could have added up to major $$'s. My part came in earlier than expected and my vehicle was repaired in one day without me taking on a third job to pay it. Thank you all at this AAMCO location!!

As a retired insurance fraud investigator and now a clinician I have dealt with thousands of companies and body shops like the one we speak about. I have never in my life come across such personable, well appointed and courteous and caring personnel to perform top quality 100% 10 + service. I'm in Florida right now and if I need it any further mechanical work on my transmission or on their specialty I would make a point of driving all the way back up to Charlotte North Carolina. This shop is clean they are Sharp and they have heart along with their professionalism. You would make a mistake if you went elsewhere for your transmission and mechanical needs!

Terrible experience. Where to begin? Firstly, they charge a 3% additional fee for credit card payments. First time I've seen that. Bear in mind these transmission jobs are thousands of dollars so the extra fee is in the hundreds. They don't mention this to you when they call you to pick up your car so that you could bring cash or a cashiers check. They wait until you're there ready to pick up your car to hit you with it. Secondly, they released my car only to have it break down on the road less than a mile from the shop, putting my daughter in danger. The owner said he test drove it 5 miles. Obviously that's impossible considering it barely made it off the lot. Then they say there is a new part that also needs to be replaced that they didn't spot the first time. I would use literally any other shop before I would go back here.

I had the BEST experience with AAMCO❗️ I had my car towed to the Pineville location because my car broke down. When I say they had me ready within a few days, they explain the situation with the vehicle and did exactly what they said they were going to do. The staff was amazing from beginning to end. This will now be my go to shop for any troubles. Thanks to the staff for taking care of me and my vehicle.

I recently had some work done at this location due to a shifting problem I had from another AAMCO location that did a complete rebuild to my transmission. After the other location told me "There is nothing we can do" I took my truck here. I wish I had taken my truck here because these people were fantastic in addressing my issue and Brad assured me that it will be fixed properly. He kept his word and promise to me because there was indeed a problem which is now corrected, and my truck is shifting like it should be. I highly recommend this place because these guys know their stuff!

Brad and team were very flexible and helpful to get my transmission fixed. There were some issues right after the transmission was changed but they took care of everything without charging extra. Now it's running seamlessly. I definitely feel like their goal was to do a good job, not just get my money like other places. I'd go back in the future (bur hopefully don't have to since the transmission should be good for the next 3 years!).

I brought Brad and his crew a challenge. A 1998 Ford Ranger that needed a new clutch and master cylinder. This repair is not a standard replacement and requires some special knowledge to get it right. Though it took them a while to figure it out, ultimately they delivered the fix perfectly and I expect to drive this truck for another 22 years! Thanks, Brad.
