Sold my cars and they had someone come pick up the cars and keys, but had to drive to their office, which is confusing to get to, and wait for someone to come so they could get the titles. It’s an inefficient process and time waster for people who are trying to literally save time. The driver should take the titles and identification should be verified with the phone calls so that checks can be mailed. I stood in front of the office window for a few minutes-When I finally found it- and a staff member was at the window, watching me stand there and finally opens the window and says they’ll be back in a minute. It’s 1245p and a woman walks up from behind me and says, “Hey, are you here to sell a car?” I tell her I’m here to pick up checks, she says they’re not back from lunch until 1:15p, asks if it’s my car that’s parked right there and when I say yes, she points in the general direction of the whole junkyard and says for me to pull over there…ummm, where? She kept saying she understood. No, you don’t when you’re continuing to give me vague instruction. The only thing clear was that lunch isn’t over until 1:15p. Way more frustrating experience than it has to be. I’d almost rather just keep the non working cars in my driveway. 4 people came since I’ve been here and I was told to go to window. The woman at the window said that those people were here before me. They parked exactly where I was parked and told to move from.

Beware. You will have to pay $3 to enter the yard just to realize that the photo graph you saw on their website is out dated. You cannot call the yard to see it the part it still available. You have to make a trip, pay the entrance fee only to find out the part isn't available. Will you get a refund on the entry fee? Absolutely not. Have a nice day

Aida was very pleasant although she was sweating from a rush of unmounting tires and rims. Awesome employee you have.

Y’all need to hire people that speak English over the phone. A lady doesn’t understand how I talk I’m trying to sell a car. Y’all are the worst customer service.

I remember when this lkq open as im a Charlotte native it was a great place to go for cheap parts, now most items are price so high it is better to just buy from Amazon. If you dont mind the rocks pull a part prices is great compared to lkq. Like other post say the employees will nickle and dime you and its like pulling teeth to get a good consistent price on parts. I wish they would really adjust their prices, people go there for a deal but hey every thing is going up right

Absolutely love LKQ Charlotte. Derek Lee, sales rep is very knowledgeable, informative, and the guy to speak to, for all your needs. The folks in the store front are just as pleasant to work with. I appreciate the great service.

Unintelligent people running checkout process claiming pretty much every fuse box is integrated so they can get an extra dollar yet couldn’t even explain what an integrated fuse box was and literally just described what a normal fuse box is to me. How do these people get hired in an auto parts company when they don’t even know auto parts. Sad sad day easily missed out on a couple hundred dollars over simply not knowing their own job.

Use to hate this place. But the staff here now treats us with some form of dignity. Ram with the glasses and dreads helps me every time.

Very well, paved location, compared to many others that I’ve been to the only thing that bothers me at times is how the price has changed and environmental fees changed due to taxes and flexibility of management. I can say the quality of parts vary, but the employees are extremely flexible with trying to make sure you are walking out with something that will work for you or have the opportunity to still be able to work for you within their Insurance policy. I can formally Thank Amanda for being extremely negotiable and helpful with pricing and understanding their system although I don’t entirely agree with it, she makes sure that she can translate it as best as possible to someone who isn’t familiar with it

Chris, Ramese and Reggie made the hot Charlotte temperatures worth the trip to LKQ. The directed me to the specific car I was looking for and showed me how to navigate the site in case there’s a compatible part on a different vehicle. Will definitely be back 100’s acriss the board

Always a problem at checkout, doesn't matter the day or employee meaning it's coming from the worthless supervisor or manager. Today they wanted $70 for a 03 expedition fuse box because it's "integrated". Time to turn on your brains and learn about car parts

This is the most organized and cleanest LKQ facility I have ever visited. The guy at the entry was extremely professional and friendly. The entire staff was easy to work with and explained my warranty. The yard was numbered extremely well so there was no issues finding the vehicles. They even provided a service to remove your desired parts for a small fee. I would highly recommend this location to anyone within a 100 Mike radius of Charlotte, NC. I drove 1,000 miles from Houston, TX to help my daughter fix her car. Unfortunately, the coil springs didn't fit her car but they refunded me the full amount with no questions asked. Service after the sale is important to me. God bless this facility and all who work there.

Been to this place twice and both times they inflate the prices over what they advertise on their website. Clerks are rude as hell. Asked before I pulled parts how much they would be, then when I checked out they added another $100. Pulling apart an engine and the A/c was still charged. Seems dangerous and illegal to me. The engine was still half full of antifreeze also. Never going back. Would not recommend to a friend (or even an enemy).

I don't usually write reviews but the employees here are worthless. Went to pull a Subaru engine and only needed the short block. I asked a staff member before I removed the engine for clarification on price as they had a poster on the fence that listed "engines now $399", with a picture of a long block (everything from valve covers to the oil pan). The website lists that same price/item as "engine assembly". I asked the guy at the counter what was included in that and he didn't really seem to know, crazy because that's literally his only job?!? Eventually he asked a coworker and said a short block was $200 and a long block was $650, ok cool. Went and pulled the engine, get to the counter and they want to charge me $350 for a short block. So I argue with the guy who told me $200 and he proceeds to just stare at me like he wants to fight me. Very deceiving and unprofessional. These guys try to squeeze every penny they can out of you by charging for every nut and bolt that's in an "assembly"

I love going to the junkyard! It's even better when I'm prepared with tools to dismantle the parts I need! I was visiting a friend when I ran into one of the many ditches here along the side of the road and damaged one of my wheels! So I headed to the junkyard to see if I could get a replacement wheel. The first place I visited was a bust, but the yard's owner told me about this place! Google informed me that this place was closing within the hour. I was shocked to see the price to get onto the yard was a bit steep, but I was able to find a perfect set of wheels on the first HHR I looked at! There was a guy there whom I paid to remove all four wheels for me. I also paid to have the tires removed since I only needed the wheels, only. Then, I took my new wheels to Discount Tire and paid them to remount and balance the wheels with my tires. The people there were very friendly and helpful! As you can see, these new wheels really make my HHR POP! #pickyourpart #savesyoumoney

Nowhere on the website does it show you that you can find out if a part is still available. How can I be expected to drive three hours to see if the part is still available? Each yard does not have a phone number so you cannot call to find out. You also cannot find out online. Why is your company set up this way? I want to know if a part is still available and I want to see a picture of it before I drive all the way there. Is that too much to ask? Would somebody kindly contact me via this Google review?

What a joke, stood in line for 30 mins just to pay to get in because the people in front was asking every question in the book, and then I grab my piece I need which is literally a small trim piece smaller than your hand and they charge me over 10$ for it and I ask why he said that’s their prices, when I look at the receipt it showed that I paid a warranty for a piece that doesn’t even need warranty nor did I want to pay extra 3$ for it and then not say anything.

$3 to get. They take cash or card. It is pretty organized if you look up the vehicle you need online beforehand. The row is numbered on the first car. Grab your tools and get whatever you need. Seems like for mechanical parts you might get a unfair price. Like the guys in front me get charge $50 for an old brake booster, thing might not even work. Exterior parts and trims is where you probably get the best options

This place is awesome. Incredibly organized and will definitely save half of your day walking around other junkyards, or crawling up into the cars to get the part. Basically accessible by anyone. Instead of entering into a group of guys staring at you like you don’t know what you’re looking for. They have a front desk and you can ask directly for the bar you need and they will give you a row that is on. The young lady at the entrance is incredibly helpful and will direct you exactly where you need to go 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Great place for recycled automotive parts. You have to remove them from the vehicles yourself at a reduced price. Plenty of inventory.

Watch up for the prices before you paying. They charge whatever they want, even charge twice the parts and charges you for extended warranty without asking. Today payed $150 for some miscellaneous pieces (just plastic things that were missing in my car) I think it was way too much for what I got. When I checked the receipt find out some overcharges, went back to the cashier and didn’t get any money back, they said it was correct. Of course they had a really bad actitud. I will post a picture of what they call “large center console” and charged me $18.88 for that, so you guys can have an idea.

Extremely clean yard, all paved. Makes for easy cleanup and your tools stay clean. Good selection of vehicles as always. Super convenient location. This yard is right off of highway 85, so it is super easy to reach for those in the area. Pricing is fair and the staff informed and helpful.
