Never thought I would leave a positive review for a towing company but here we are… so I had my car towed this evening after being careless with where I parked for a yoga class. As I was picking up my car, an idea occurred. For some context, for my job I do behavioral therapy for kids diagnosed with ASD. I happen to have a client at the moment who thinks tow trucks are the greatest thing ever and thinks it is hilarious to joke about towing people’s cars. So while picking my car up, I went out on a limb and explained the situation, and asked them if they’d be ok with me taking a picture of their truck for me to show to this client. The operators were super friendly and said yes, and even went back and hitched up my car again for me to get a video and pictures for this client!!😂 Certainly the best outcome I could have had given the scenario and I’m thankful for yall being so open! I am sure this will make my client’s day, thank yall.

Danny was a great help. He helped me and some buddies out of a pretty bad predicament. He was awesome about it as well. If i was his boss I would consider re-evaluating a higher position for him.

Bills garage is legit, they do fast, high quality work and please don’t let the bad reviews on here make you think twice about getting your car serviced through them. I have taken my vehicle in on two separate occasions for problems I have had for years that it seemed like no place could totally solve. They did solve them, I truly could not be happier with the way my car has been running and the staff are so helpful and explain what work needs to be done or could be waited on, as well as what’s most cost efficient for you. 6/5 stars, I refer anyone who asks where to get work done on their vehicle to them!

Bill’s Garage saved the day for me! My vehicle needed to be towed after hours on a weekend and they came within 15 minutes and didn’t charge me until I picked it up. They were a little busy, but able to service my vehicle the next day. Sabrina was wonderful and communicated with me every step of the way. They didn’t try to charge me anything extra and even helped out a little on the price so I could get to work on time. Bill’s Garage has very reasonable prices. I would trust them to work on my vehicle again and recommend them to anyone who needs towing or service. Thank you to everyone there who helped get me back on the road!

They picked my car up after a accident on 321 in the snow, when following them to the tow yard they sped off over 15 miles over the speed limit crossing the middle lane and almost ran another car off the road. Very rude and aggressive. Use someone else!

Called about car being towed from lot where I work. Said they would be open at Eight They were not. I called. Man said driver was asleep in truck. I checked all the trucks. He was not. I called back. Kept ignoring my calls. I called on a different phone. He picked up. Said driver would be there in a bit. Still waiting. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!

They are GREAT! The service, pricing and everything in between was perfect. I was hesitant as some of their reviews were negative but they all seem to be about people being towed because, well, they weren't where they were allowed to be. It is not technically this company towing but yet who has hired them but of course the upset comes to the towing company. If you have an issue with your vehicle and need it towed (for your purpose) and / or worked on, they are the go to in the area in my experience!

Very fast towing service! I was amazed to how fast they got to us when i was stranded in the mountains of North Carolina very professional equipment and trucks that look powerful to pull even big SUVS and pickup trucks, the guys know what they are doing!

towing at 10 pm in an EMPTY LOT bevause you have nothing better to do is crazy. $75 drop fee when the truck wasnt even connected, also unfair enforcment i guess at the leisure of the employees.

I Got towed for parking in a lot that was behind Jimmy John's didn't see a sign, my bad was in and out quick but I got snatched by a real nice wrecker driver named Geoff great attitude awsome all the way around , the dispatcher was a Real pice of Shasta making me sign a phone signature for some odd reason. The driver and I froze while I was told i couldn't leave the property and held against my will and forced to sign.

DO NOT GO HERE. Thought the low stars were only because of towing, no they literally stole from my car. Left $30 cash in my car while getting my brakes fixed, came back and there was only $10……taking cash from a college kid knowingly. Awful disgusting people.

I'd say avoid these people like the plague, but that won't stop them from trying to tow your car anyway! This is an unethical business that tries to scrape $130 off of anyone they can. Regardless of how closely you follow the letter of the law. And reading past reviews it looks like this is business as usual. When you have to go out of your way to figure out "what happened to my car??" because you parked legally in an empty lot, that's a problem. So if you ever find yourself stranded in Boone, NC... just know the folks over at Bill's Garage probably made an arbitrary decision with your vehicle motivated by their own greed.

My grand daughter had a fender bender and her car was towed to Bill’s. My wife and I drove an hour and half to go help her. Her drivers side front tire was punctured from the impact. We did not know what to expect at the impound lot when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised as we entered the shop office to find a very friendly lady working at the desk.I’m sorry I don’t remember her name. She was extremely helpful and understanding. I brought some tools to change the tire but as soon as a couple of the guys working there saw me unloading them, they immediately came over to help me. I cannot remember the last time I have received so much help from the staff of a business . While the tire and wheel were being removed the lady inside was providing us with local tire shops that had the tire in stock. In summary, I couldn’t ask for anything more from these folks . I sincerely thank each and every one of you that helped us on sept 9th!

I have worked with Bill's Garage for years. They are some of the most trustworty and reliable folks I know around here. They been so helpful to me and my family with tows and repairs, and have kept my vehicles running smoothly. I can't recommend them enough!

Listen I understand doing your job and everything if a cars parking pass is expired, but when you are towing a residents car from their own apartment parking lot because they got a new car and switched the parking pass from the old one to the new one and their parking pass expired while you wait for the Purple Heart Foundation to come get the car because you are donating it to a veterans program, it gets to a point dude. Like bro we were just waiting for it to be picked up and forgot the parking pass expired and then we gotta pay $78 for it to not get towed by Bills Garage so we can still donate it, like we’re a college student and blue collar worker we don’t just have that laying around? Absolutely bonkers. This interaction made me angrier then I’d like to admit I was not nice with the driver and I apologize for that but this whole situation was just so frustrating. Mind you they did this THE NIGHT BEFORE the apartment leasing office suspended all towing until 8-18-2025 so they didn’t have to do any of this at all because it wouldn’t matter they just wanted to make a dime. 👎👎👎

These people are unethical and extremely rude. I could not imagine owning a business that stalks college students just to tow their cars when they are parked at their OWN apartments in between shifts. I didn't even bother trying to explain he has a temporary permit that wasn't visible. They don't care. If this company was ethical they would leave a parking ticket or charge something reasonable. I live in the center of a large city and understand parking laws. Fortunately we have ethics and reason in the city and give out $25 parking tickets for mistakes. I would never under any circumanstances patronize this business. So many great business in the High Country. DO NOT give these people a dime! Use Wrenchworks or K & S Towing. They are both awesome!! Hope that clarifies!

While vacationing in North Carolina, our Nissan NV unexpectedly began smoking and blew a gasket, leaving us in a tough situation—especially with our Airbnb checkout scheduled for the following day. Thankfully, we found Bill’s Garage Towing and Repair, and they went above and beyond for us. Not only did they promptly tow our vehicle, but once they learned about our circumstances, they immediately prioritized our repair. They located the necessary part—driving several hours to retrieve it—and completed the repairs that same day. Thanks to their incredible dedication and service, our vacation wasn’t ruined. We only had to extend our stay by one night, and we were able to drive the 8 hours back home to Florida without issue. We are forever grateful to Bill’s Garage for their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to helping others. Thank you!

Would be negative stars if that was possible. Moving my son out of his apartment and Charged $130 just to unhook my car. Empty parking lot. Just upstairs getting ready to come down and put furniture in the car. Absolutely terrible.

They're honest with fair prices. The one star reviews are clearly just people that got towed... But if you need a tow for your car you'll get a discount if you get it fixed in their shop! I have a pretty bad car that needs to be fixed a lot and they always do a great job! Thank ya'll :)

Used these guys to tow my truck. They did a great job. Communication was great. The gal in the office was very helpful and the guy who picked up my truck was real nice and knowledgeable. A lot of reviews on here that are bad are written by butt hurt people who got towed for being too dumb to read signs. I have to say these guys are great. Hopefully I won’t need to be towed again but if I do I will call them.

I know people get mad at their car being towed, and I'm sure some reviews reflect it. My experience, however, was different. My key was stuck in my ignition during a delivery. I could not get my car to start back up. They came and towed my car back to the shop. Since I was only a few minutes away, they dropped me home as well. Definitely an extra mile move that was sincerely appreciated 😊 I ended up needing a new ignition switch. While the manufacturer dealership was going to charge me almost $1000, if not more for a whole new assembly... Bill's Garage took care of the issue without the extra components and charges. They will have repeat business from me. I appreciate you all so much, and Happy New Year!!!!

4 wheel drive SUV stuck in Blowing Rock driveway. Called multiple places that said they were not taking any more orders. These friendly guys came quickly!!!

Bills garage is awesome! I slid my hummer across some ice into a deep ditch full of mud and water, and Bills Garage sent a great guy to come get it out. The tow truck man really knew what he was doing and got my car out totally safe and sound! Couldn’t leave a better review and thank you again Bills!

AVOID BILLS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! READ THE REVIEWS HERE---AVOID THESE FOLKS---THEY DESTROY CARS WHEN TOWING THEM. This company will destroy your car. LOOK AT THIS DRIVEWAY THEY PULLED MY CAR OVER just because they did not have the patience to ask someone to move out of the flat driveway out of David Watson's garage. It tore the entire underskirt that is under the front of my car, it cracked it into two pieces and now the piece is just hanging loose under the vehicle. I am planning to file a suit against these idiots. My mechanic chose these guys, OTHERWISE I WOULD NEVER USE THIS PLACE.. THEY did not want to wait until the flat driveway was open to pull it out. THE CAR WAS NOT LIKE THAT WHEN IT WAS SITTING AT THE GARAGE...I plan to take out a small claims action... DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they will ruin your vehicle. Look at all the other BAD reviews of this awful company. AVOID---USE HAMPTON"S TOWING---THEY ARE CAREFUL AND WOULD NEVER DRAG A VEHICLE OUT LIKE THIS.
