When my husband passed 2 years ago I moved back to my home at McGees. Had a lot of items to throw out, including 3 mattress sets. One of the attendants came over and helped every time. Thankful for their kindness. Would give 10 stars ?

I have been in the land use office many times and have found that most folks have been helpful. However the ladies at the desk where we purchase our convenience center stickers have been exceptionally rude every time I have been in there. Maybe they're just living up to the stigma of the rude public service employee. In any event it has never been a pleasant experience with that desk.

As a new resident of Johnston County I would like the county to know their near elderly, over-weight, white, male employee who wears glasses at the Barber Mill center needs further training and a reprimand. His hostile, confrontational and unprofessional demeanor needs to be addressed!! We successfully completed one run. The confrontation was during our second run to the center when after we finished using the recycle dumpster, he immediately went into the recycle dumpster and drug out a 18ft piece of cardboard, threw it over the side onto the ground and screams, "Hey..no styro-foam - I told ya before!!!" My husband and I looked at each other like What the heck, is this our trash, and is he talking to us...obviously he was, as it was just the three of us?! This is absolutely NOT the service we the tax payers should ever experience at a county facility. He needs to seek a new job or even retirement if he is SO exasperated with customers. After his episode, He just stomped by us. I and my spouse were left to assume he now expected US to pick up the absolute mess HE..the county employee...made of small particles of packing material made from styrofoam. We could've acted like him and stomped on the material like him and LEFT. This visit was on 4/7/18 around 1:40pm. We threw away 57 boxes in two separate visits from our new kitchen cabinets and separated the packing material for trash as we knew it can't be recycled. We did this and cut down the 57 boxes.... well 56 (the trash monitor rudely pointed out). One box and he screamed like we do this daily to him?!?#. Why couldnt he just ask us? We, we would have been willing to correct it. Obviously, we were cooperative enough because we had to bend over and pick up the trash he littered everywhere!!! It was raining so I realize he has a sad job assignment in this community of opportunity but don't take it out on tax payers on their first visit. A call and an email was sent to supervisor.
