It’s sad for these tow companies to take advantage of you. Almost $1,000 to have a wrecked truck towed back home to get your belongings. Avoid this place and don’t call this tow company. They/we know they’re just trying to get extra storage fees from Insurance companies. Bad business, bad company. Sure they’ll most likely keep the truck and also get money for the engine and scrap what’s left. If they only sympathy for anything other than a dollar.
I’ve been dealing with this company for over ten years..but since the owner Gary passed away andhis wife isn’t in the office, the guy doing inspections is a crook..he made my buddy pay $30 for a safety inspection which is only $13.60. I asked him about why was it $30 instead of $13.60, he tells me because of window tint..mind you there is no window tint of the front so I tell him. He isn’t supposed to charge for window tint now I. The state of North Carolina, I have other shops that’s told me that they can’t charge for that any more otherwise they can get in trouble with DMV. So he goes on to tell me another lie that DMV prices have went up. What he didn’t know is I’m connected to a lot of other shops in Gaston county, so my buddy said it was cool and I just didn’t go back and forth with him in the inspection because I’m far from dumb. But yeah don’t go there for just a safety inspection because you will get charged for emissions inspection!
$330 to get my car back from here. It was towed at midnight on the 1st, and I picked it up at 10am on the 1st, yet they charged me for 2 days worth of storage. Thieves.
Oh, and they also left my key fob IN the car, which means the car was unlocked the entire time. My dome lights were also on, so I can only imagine how much that degraded my battery.
EDIT: tow hearing was held, and deemed it was an illegal tow, requiring the company to reimburse my money. They have since denied the reimbursement. Avoid this company at all costs.
My car was towed here and the first 2 times I called I got no answer so then I left a voicemail and Irvin the new owner called me back. He was very nice with explaining the process and fees. Upon picking up my car, it wouldn’t start for some reason despite it was working fine 24 hours prior. Irvin tried jump starting my car but unfortunately didn’t work. He then offered to tow my car for free to my mawmaw house. Great dude just trying to start off on the right foot with a business he just took over.
New owner very helpful, very kind hearted and understanding, great towing service all around great people to do business with, every time I need anything towed or worked on this will be my go to place!
Scammers. Will not answer the phone & aren’t there as their operating hours are stated. Cannot pick up your car because you can’t get in touch with anyone. & then they wanna give excuses. & also charge a daily fee for everyday your car is there but there’s no way to get your car. Also try’s to charge a fee for “getting stuff out of your car” & you haven’t even done that. TERRIBLE BUSINESS.
This company steals from customers. I had my vehicle towed from highway to friends home. The driver stole my automatic jumping cable box as well as tire pump he also cut zip ties that was in place to hold glove compartment closed to go through inside to see if it was anything else he could take. I don’t appreciate you talking my money for the tow and stealing from me at the same time. I’ll rather pay the extra 25 for another company next time before I use these cheap thieves
My husband Pat just left this place. The " female" working doing the inspections tried to charge him $ 50.00, which is illegal. $30.00 is the maximum price you can charge for an inspection in NC. I'm sure DMV will hear about this!
This is where your car gets towed if it's in an accident on one side of Gastonia. As junkyards go, it's about what you expect. If you have to go see or clean out your car there's going to be mud and rocks. Also they charge a storage fee. I'm sure they bill this to the insurance company, but in my case I would have ended up having to pay it. I had no idea it was accumulating and when I asked a question it was $800. I'm going to end up giving them the title to my scrapped vehicle instead.
They are straight up breaking the law. They impounded my car at 7:42pm on 12/20 and charged me Two days worth of storage when I came and got my vehicle out at 11:20am the next day. They also try and charge you a gate fee which is also illegal during business hours! They say it’s all legal charges but they also tried saying they can’t release your car at night once the office is closed which is also illegal.
