I got myself stuck with a boom lift in the backyard in a really awkward spot, no towing company wanted to even try. They sent out Chris, he assessed the situation and towed it back on the road so I could return the rental in time. Appreciate the quick and efficient work.
if you like getting greeted with confederate flags, workers whistling at you and yelling that they aren't open even though you're simply DROPPING OFF A U-HAUL, and just overall poor customer service, then this is your place!
(mind you I spoke to U-Haul well before drop-off and got the green light to drop off after hours; theres no excuse to being rude)

Clayton’s Towing has by far been the absolute best. From lockouts and towing to vehicle repairs. Contacted a tow company and they were unable to unlock my vehicle. The person that came out to assist me appeared to be in a hurry. Clayton’s was able to unlock my car in less than 5 minutes! Saved me from having to pay for an another key! Thank you! We had our car towed here after a crash on I40. It happened on the weekend and we needed to get our belongings out of the car after we got settled in our rental car. They were very prompt and helpful.

My friend had a wreck and Clayton's Wrecker Service towed her car on Saturday, November 30, 2024. They were very professional and helpful in dealing with her insurance company. We were able to get to her car to get her personal items out when it was convenient for us and they were always very helpful in our communications with them. We had trouble getting her car seat covers off and Clayton's Wrecker Service actually sent someone to the lot to help us. We could not ask for any better service. We highly recommend Clayton's Wrecker service.
Wanted to take the time to speak about the wonderful experience I’ve had in dealing with this company the past few months.Late September I had an issue with my car and it ended up having to be towed in.Due to an issue in dealing with my insurance company, my car ended up having to sit at this company’s tow yard for around 26 days causing the bill to reach a sum of around $1300.Understanding my frustration with the entire situation, the owner was nice enough to stop the daily fees from incurring and also was willing to give me extra time to pay the bill down instead of having to pay everything at once.Upon going to finally retrieve my car , every employee on duty that day went OVER and BEYOND to assist us with getting the car crunk and offering insight on what the problem could possibly be.This was something that they definitely didn’t have to do and we are extremely grateful for their efforts.

I had my car towed from where I live by this company. I was shocked when I was greeted by such great customer service. The price was actually reasonable compared to how much money I’ve spent in the past for being towed. The people at Clayton’s were very understanding of my situation. I’ve since been back to this location for my regular car care. They do oil changes, inspections, tire replace whatever you need! The quality and care of work they provide is unmatched. Well, as soon as I paid my car off, guess what happened? I smacked a deer at 6:00am on my way to work in the middle of nowhere with barely any cellphone signal and a road sign nowhere in sight. I managed to grab enough signal and called Clayton’s Wrecker. A friend had recommended them, so I kept their business card in my car “just in case”. Thank God for that! I spoke with Courtney over the phone and told her what I was driving, what road I was on and what landmarks I was in between. The phone call dropped in the middle of our conversation, but in under 30 minutes, Courtney had managed to grab enough details from out in and out phone call and dispatch a driver to the scene. I couldn’t believe it; I was in the middle of nowhere! The driver loaded my car and offered me a ride to where I needed to go - I couldn’t have been more thankful. They let me get all of my belongings out of my car without any issues and everyone I came encounter with while I was there were very friendly. I 10/10 recommend Clayton’s for any of your towing needs. They also have a full garage on site to do any and all mechanic work! I had no idea and I will 100% use them for my car repairs in the future! Thank you again, Courtney and crew!!

"My breakdown for only one night - car was dropped off around 5:30pm and picked up around 3:00 pm the next day at their storage - was $810!! They asked only for towing $400 for 20 miles and $225 for winching, even though the car is drivable and this service was not provided at the scene. In addition, I was charged $100 for two days of storage.
When discussing the ownership of the vehicle, the representative mentioned that in order to avoid court proceedings, I would need to provide payment and the title. They stated that the vehicle cannot be scrapped or dealt with in court until the lien amount is higher than the value of the car. This implies that the vehicle would need to remain in their possession for at least three months.
These new details further highlight the obstacles and frustrations associated with this company. It is evident that they are not transparent in their dealings and have created a complex process for customers to navigate. The excessive charges, lack of assistance, and unclear ownership procedure indicate a disregard for customer satisfaction.
I strongly advise others to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, especially if your insurance does not cover their services or if the DMV has called them to a collision scene. Please be cautious and explore alternative options for your towing and storage needs.
Most inconvenient towing place a sheriff can recommend. I asked for assistance from a person that answered the phone thats very nonchalant to help me get my important belongings out the car. A constant “ ill see” not professional at all. I pray that all my electronic belongings and baby stuff is still there. I will add an update once i find out :( heart broken

Imagine it is 2am in the morning and you somehow got yourself stuck in the mud. We had been moving when suddenly it profusely started to rain. This is when it became difficult to get out of the driveway. It was like driving across a swamp. We were so buried in the mud in a 15ft box truck, that we could not believe that there was a way out.. Five Stars to Chris with Clayton's Wrecker Service for coming to get our Bon Vie Mobile Cigar Lounge/Bus that had broken down on a trip from Greensboro to Raleigh. He was professional, friendly, and really knew what he was doing.
Brandon is absolutely fantastic. He was very friendly, helpful and fast in helping me with a disaster tow at 2:30 am. The first tow company (Dusty’s wrecker company) was flat out lazy and left me stranded after waiting 2 hours for him to come, and didn’t help me while stuck in a garage at 11:30 at night. I will use Brandon and Clayton’s Garage and wrecker service again in a heart beat. Brandon was very competent and professional. He even took the time to text me a picture of my car once it was up on his tow truck, great guy to have come and help you.

these guys were phenomenal I came out to get in my van to go to work and I had a flat I called them and they were here in no time. The gentleman that came was so nice and kind offered if there was anything else he could do wanted to make sure I had someone to fix my tire. They where so thoughtful that because I let them fix my car they waived the tow.
Horrible company. State trooper called them back in September when one of our cars was totaled and they stole stuff out of the car.
It was just a car phone charger (the base) and a $10 roll of quarters but it drives me crazy. I grabbed the cable out of the car before letting them leave so I saw the base was still plugged in and since the car was already partially lifted I saw the quarters but couldn’t reach them.
I know you’re not supposed to leave anything of value m in the car and I know it’s less than $15 stolen from me but it makes me mad to know that in such a stressful situation they would take advantage of us like that. Plus since it wasn’t of much dollar value I didn’t think they would be so petty as to steal from us.
They are absolutely the worse towing service I have ever dealt with. After towing my food truck from a wreck there driver drove through a 6 foot wide lane with an 8 foot wide trailer. After wedging my truck between 2 steel posts and bending 4 rims and ripping off the axle the driver was mad at me? Took them 3 hours to get my truck out! Then they bailed me thevtowing even though they trashed my truck. Told me to deal with his insurance lol. These guys are rude, and not that bright. Save yourself the hassle and hire real tow truck drivers
state trooper called them after an accident to tow my car. service was rude and unorganized. charged 3 days storage when the car was in their possession < 48 hours. charged like $100 for 'cleanup' when they did nothing to clean up the site because i'd already done it. thieves and criminals when it comes to billing for services. i guess if someone else's insurance is paying, no one pays attention, but i would not recommend for anything else. all totaled charge $380 for a tow and 2 days storage.
