I own a garage 62 years third generation business in Greensboro. I loaned my customer my vehicle while I work on their car since I'm in Greensboro. He's in Durham. They will not give me the owner's name. They're charging me $300 without my acknowledgment that my car was even there They recently changed the name of their company to integrity towing. There's no integrity in this. It's a money grab money laundering business. They or hiding behind the name they will be audited my attorneys on it

Dishonest company with employees who take advantage of folks in tough situations. I spoke to an employee at Unlimited Recovery to get my car back, and they told me the cost would be $580. This is a lot of money for me, so I explained my situation to them and asked if there was any way we could negotiate the price - the employee I spoke to said they were confident their manager would be able to work with me on the price. They took down my contact info and said they would talk to their manager and then get back to me about possibly lowering the cost. A few days went by and I didn't hear anything back from them - so I called again and asked about the status of my request; however, this time the employee told me that there was no room for negotiation and the price to get my car back is now $1060. I told them about the conversation I had with the previous employee and they said "I don't care who you talked to, we do not negotiate and the price to get your car back is now $1060. If you can't pay, we will file for ownership of your car". I asked if I could speak to a manager or supervisor about the situation, but they told me "there is nobody else you can talk to. The price to get your car back is now $1060 and nothing will change that." I am being taken advantage of by Unlimited Recovery, because if they had just told me originally that there is no room for negotiation, I would have bit the bullet and found a way to pay the $580 fee. Now I literally cannot afford to get my car back and I feel like there is no recourse. UPDATE 6/10/25: They took ownership of my car.

ZERO STARS! SITE IS NOT STAFFED! They make it impossible to get your car back. I was quoted $260 if I arrived before 5pm. When I arrived at quarter of, there was no one there to help me. I called the number listed and was told it would be 30-45 minutes before anyone could help me, and $305 if I came back the next day. The following day I called to make sure someone would be there before 5pm and was told no one would be on site until 7pm. How convenient that the fee increases after 5pm. So now it's almost 8pm and I'm still waiting for someone to help me. I have called twice only to be told that a driver will help me when he is available and that the average wait time is 30-45 minutes. Obviously they drive up the fees by not having staff on site and making it impossible to get your car back.

Very rude and asked us to wait in the dark late at night until his driver came and wouldnt give us a call so we could wait somewhere safer. Hung up on us twice. Didnt care about anything.

First it was an hour to get my car then it was three hours. My cars got my essential cardiac meds and they gave two shits. Staff up you unprofessional ineptitudes.

This is the most unprofessional place that I have ever dealt with. We had to wait almost an hour to retrieve the car. Someone who hung up the phone and would not give his name changed the time of arrival for the attendant. My plan is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Vehicle has a parking permit in the Southpoint Crossing Apartment Complex and it was towed and I was force to pay $265. Apartment complex ain’t no better, they have leaves on sidewalks where myself and others slipped plenty of times. But quick to collect payments but slow to keep the area really safe. Also, the gate been broke for months.

265$ for a 5 mile non consensual tow and a 50$ after hour fee despite their online hours saying “open 24/7”. My car seat was in the car and I was stranded with my kid too. Upon which the operator just said “well idk how you’re gonna figure that out but we don’t bring cars back”. I’ve had further tows for cheaper. Quick easy buck for whatever operator got my car at 4am from my friends apartment I was visiting though.

I understand they have a job to do BUT this company is so UNPROFESSIONAL. They lack customer service and people skills. The DRIVER is a complete A HOLE for no reason!! It’s the holidays, you’d think one would have some sore of compassion, NOPE not this company. Please BEWARE!

Claimed the car was blocking the sidewalk, in actuality was in the driveway and back end overlapping the sidewalk by 6". Had the cars rear on a hoist want were working on the front wheels, when we discovered what was transpiring. It 9:00 PM on sunday following Thanksgiving. They never towed or even moved the car. Charged me $250 later to unhook the car. Later call and asked for an explanation, the guy said they were just doing their job because they have a contract to enforce parking with the property. This may be true, however multiple other cars had the same condition and had been in that condition for multiple days prior. My guess is the guy went looking for a score, found an out of state car with and easy access and took advantage. A quick $250 on a Sunday night. Happy Thanksgiving.

Not only do they illegally tow your car & charge you $300 for keeping the car for a few hrs. You go pick it up and they block your car in and takes them another few hrs to have someone move the cars blocking yours in after already paying them to release your car . These guys need to take some classes in how to run a company because they must have learned under a rock. Scammers will only be in business for so long and the reviews show

Rude and plain evil treatment... Ended up keeping my car because I couldn't afford to get it out. Now I owe the full cost of the car with nothing to show for it. Probably going to have to file for bankruptcy. How Im I supposed to out work there prices?! No payment plan. For having a car sitting in a lot. on top of it all I was legal tenant of my apartment that they sneakily grab at 3:00 a.m with their lights off to not even give you a chance to negotiate.. awful company and I don't know how the things they do are legal. When I called trying to figure out if they still had it they laughed at me.. they told me that they register to take ownership within 10 days. Their goal is for somebody to not pay them fast enough and then not be able to afford to get it out. Because I didn't have the money the first week.. then I was told is 2500 something and I'm like how am I supposed to pay for that? Also, I don't know if it's even legal because I was never notified of any violation or that they had my car... There was no hearing. Maybe that's only for towing for the state idk

If I could give 0 stars to this company I would!!! They are nothing more than scammers illegally towing vehicles! But THE ATTORNEY GENERAL has been notified and will be doing a complete investigation. So anyone who has had issues with this particular company out of DURHAM make a call to the attorney general!! 50 complaints reported so far so the more the better!!!

Inconsiderate b$$$$$$$$$, just to rip off people’s money. No prior notice when I am a legitimate resident, they will still tow your car. Even if I showed the bogus design of the decals which I got from my apartments. They will still not consider cause money is just the utmost priority. They will still ask for payment no matter what.

This company is unethical and are cheaters! They don't follow their own rules about when a vehicle can be towed from an apartment complex. Also, what type of men or whoever sneak in the middle of the night and steal, yes I said steal, peoples' cars! I was asleep and woke up at 2:30 am to find my car with a less than 90 day past due tag gone! I called they said I had to pay $290! What kind of company is this?! They ought to be ashamed and we should lobby tonight then out of business. Anyone interested in finding out what we can do to this sneaky, underhanded business please respond to this post. This type of activity doesn't stop until we find a way to end it. No one (the police, apartment complex, etc.) will help us. We have to take care of ourselves because they won't. I am willing to do all that I can to get rid of this sneaky, underhanded company .

Do NOT do business with these people . They lie and steal without having proper reason. The staff is extremely RUDE , with no remorse. They lie about tagging cars that would a give heads up that your car could be possibly be towed. These people are the true definition of SCAMMERS and Thieves in the night !!!!

Words cannot describe how wicked this company is. Preying on low-income areas, towing cars without notice, and charging exorbitant fees is outrageous. This company also has a dirty scheme going on with apartment complexes. Do I not have the right to be warned before you seize my vehicle? In principles of management, the rights of an individual surpass that of profit. Indeed, I have determined that this company partakes in unethical business practices. This business charges high prices for its primarily useless labor PS: MY HEADLIGHT WAS NOT DANGLING BEFORE IT WAS TOWED

Bunch of rude, scamming, unprofessional people. My car was towed from a neighborhood on what they claim was around 11:30pm. The lady says i was charged an extra $55 because the car was towed before 12. I was outside at 12am and my car was still parked in the same place so that’s a lie. What makes it worse is they can’t even get the lie together because when I spoke to a woman today she said my car was towed on the 16th which confirms it would have been after midnight. They all just in their money hungry and charge based on what they want to p I had a friend that had a car towed from the same place a couple weeks ago and paid about 195. They claim the difference is because of the times but both cars were towed at night and picked up around the same time. To make the situation worse they basically tore my bumper off and won’t do anything about it. My bumper already had a minor rip which can be seen in the pictures when they picked it up. By the time I got to it, the bumper was completely hanging off. The lady admitted it was taken in from the front which caused it. She tried to call someone on the phone and said management would not be in until the morning and to call then. I called the next morning and was told the manager was in a meeting and I can expect a call back later. I made sure to ask could I except a call back that same day and the woman on the phone assured me it would be. I waited all day and did not receive a call. I called back the next day just to get the same BS excuse and run around. These people are money hungry scammers. The audacity to damage my car way more than what was already wrong and I have to pay 300??? It’s ludicrous.

BE CAREFUL! This business will illegally tow your car from apartments even when you have a visible parking pass. No receipts of the towing were provided, no notification of the towing either. When you call the office they wash their hands. Forced to pay $200 in order to get the car back (which you have to drive and pick up) and this company obviously partnered up with the Chapel Tower Apartment complex for this scam but they attribute it to “security purposes” when there’s a lot of other illegal activities going on that they should be focusing on.

Putting aside the business practice of essentially renting themselves out to apartment complexes to tow cars - even from gated communities - the guy running the gate was professional and friendly, and I got my car back quickly enough. But let's be honest, if you're reading this, you don't have much of a choice in the matter. Best of luck.

This is a predatory towing company and should be reported to the local authorities and immediately closed. After getting off work at 11pm and going to his apartment for the evening, my fiance woke up the next day, ready to take his ailing father to the doctor for a necessary medical treatment, to find his car missing from his apartment complex's parking lot. He had not received any form of notification (no phone call, no email, no knock on the door, no note on the door), so went to the office to investigate. They were unsure so called the towing company and after a brief chat, the receptionist said, smiling, "Yeah, they picked your car up." But WHY? She did not have an answer. After asking me to drive the 40 miles from my workplace to pick him up to then drive him more than 30 miles through Friday afternoon rush-hour traffic to pick up his car, we finally reached the derelict "establishment" (read: grown-over gravel lot in an unsavory part of town), to only be ushered through a small opening in a chain link fence and told it was after 5pm and that he would be charged an additional $50. This was on top of the $150 he had to pay out-of-pocket for the tow. It was 5pm on the dot and after pointing this out, they reluctantly agreed to waive it. If he had left his car overnight (because how was he supposed to get to his car if he hadn't had a ride?), they would have charged an additional $45. And another $45 after that and another $45 after that, until he could find a way to retrieve it. This company works with apartment complexes to prey on vehicles, especially vehicles in low-income housing establishments. Who is profiting from this? Be very wary of this company and if you encounter them, know your rights.

This towing company is using apartment properties to tow cars as a grab and cash. They are towing renters guest vehicles from the property that don't have a visitors pass. They charge you $245 to get your vehicle back. I paid the fee without showing any identification or evidence of ownership of my car. Anyone can get your vehicle if they give them the money. Be aware of their business practices. Their location in Durham is where there are junkyards. IJS

Car was towed back in February because my tags were expired but I had a Parking Decal for my complex. Paid 250.00 that I really didn't have to get my car back. To be on the safe side I took my car elsewhere until I was able to get my tags up to date. Since that time there are plenty of cars in the parking lot I stay in with expired tags or no tags at all that haven't been towed. When you call to question why those vehicles haven't been told they get smart and say "Why are you worrying about other people cars....Well maybe bc I had to pay 250.00 to retrieve my car back so why haven't these cars been picked up for the same thing. It's kinda unfair. You try to call just to get a logical answer and you get talked to so disrespectful that it only upsets you even more. I've spoken with my Property Management and nothing is being done, even after they put out letters saying your registration needs to be up to date.

The staff seems to be tortured in a small hot box. Very slow to get anything done. Tow the car that had been registered just hadn’t received the sticker yet. Please plan on taking a good bit of time.

I know there are lot of bad ratings about this place, but I actually had a very good experience with retrieving my car. The phone was always answered, they were open late, they helped explain all the BMW alerts I got, and attendant was professional and friendly. That being said, I fully blame my apartments (Van Alen) where I am a two year tenant for towing my car, but that’s another story.

As a current business owner this business is not ran professionally and with the outstanding number of reviews and complaints something has to be seriously done if customers/residents and more are complaining about illegal tows. My spouse car was towed from our community complex due to new management negligence of updating license plate information on file also placing correct notarized documents on file as well. The landlord called spoke with them explaining this as well and they refused to bring car back nor reimburse us, during a time like this were everyone is struggling and trying to find work it’s not fair to take into consideration of other’s

Extremely rude on the phone and customer service. I had a visitors pass that expired by one day. It expired on a Sunday (when the main office isnt even open). They towed the car at 1AM before I was even able to try and get a new pass in the morning. I was also told told by the main office I had until early Feb to get a new parking sticker on my car for the month. I was moving at the end of feb and was told my car would not be towed. They towed the car anyway. Extremely poor towing service and would not recommend them to anybody, for any reason whatsoever.

My vehicle was towed from the Colonial Grand Apartments on stone lion drive Durham NC, August 26, 2019. I drove from Virginia to visit a resident there to celebrate a birthday. All of the visitor parking spots were full, majority were full with vehicles displaying North Carolina plates. The person I was visiting told me that she asked the management about the parking and was told that it is alright for her guest to park in the spaces up the hill next to the car wash if all of the visitor spots are full. On August 26, 2019 I came out to go home only to find that my vehicle was not where I left it. We went to the apartment office only to learn that my vehicle was towed. The resident of the apartment where I was visiting reminded them that they had told her it was ok to park there. The lady at the front desk said that they changed that a month ago and sent out emails to that effect. The resident then contacted management who when they checked said there was no record of them sending her an email. I then proceeded to Unlimited Recovery to get my vehicle. When I got there I had to give the lady my drivers license to get my vehicle. After paying $150.00 I was let into the gate to retrieve my vehicle and was glad to leave North Carolina. Upon returning home on Monday August 26, 2019 I stopped at a gas station and had to use my ID only to realize that did not have it. Unlimited Recovery had not given me back my drivers license. I called Unlimited Recovery to let them know they failed to give me back my drivers license only to be hung up on three times. Upon calling back a fourth time finally speaking to someone who would at least listen, I was told that I could come back and get them. I explained that I was already in Virginia before I realized that I did not have them and to drive knowing that I did not have them was risky. So I ask them if they could mail them to me. I was told that they would mail me my drivers license. On Friday August 30, 2019 5 days later I still had no drivers license. I decide to call Unlimited Recovery to confirm that they mailed my license. I was again treated very rudely on the phone, hung up on having to call back and ask for a manager which I did not get until I threaten to get an attorney and explained to them that I had spoken with the police who said I could get in trouble if I drove without my license on me. The lady who came to the phone was apologetic and told me that she would make sure I get my license and told me that if I do not get them by Monday September 2, 2019 to call back. After the phone call ended it dawned on me that this is a holiday weekend and that Monday is Labor Day, which means the mail will not run. I called Unlimited Recovery back only to experience the rudeness again. I am waiting on a return call from a civil attorney because I do not believe it is legal for them to keep my license and not send them to me seeing it is due to their negligence for not returning my property. I tried to contact the Durham police department but no success. Apparently they don't care that business are ripping people off in the public, they only want to come out when there is gunfire so they can shoot somebody!

My car was illegally towed by this company. They were not authorized to tow from private property (duke campus). Police confirmed they weren't authorized to tow at the location, but there's little they can do apparently. Cost is $200 first day plus $50 per weekend and $35 for week day, which is absurd. Exceptionally rude on the phone. There wasn't even anyone there when I showed up to get my car and I had to wait half an hour until one of the trucks happened to stop back at the gate. This was at 11:55 p.m., 5 minutes before i would have to pay another day. Person meant to be at the desk showed up at 12:01 a.m... Seemed they had hoped to get another day's payment out of me. God bless anyone who is towed by this company. Should be shut down immediately
