These guys rock!! My battery died at the southpoint and my kids were going crazy screaming bc it was cold. They got there super fast and the driver was awesome and even showed my kids how he lifts a car behind the truck. Mom approved lol!
I called for a tow truck on Wednesday morning 11-13-24 and was advised by the dispatcher that someone would call me back. I asked how long do you think it might take for a return call and I was told “ shortly”. I waited about 30-40 minutes and I called back asking for an update. I was told again by the same dispatcher” let me tell him to call you” . Once again no call. I decided to call a competitor. This competitor’s dispatcher took my information and after a short time on hold I was told “ in about 30 minutes I’ll get someone to you” within those 30 minutes the tow truck arrived. It was a little more expensive but I received the service I was expecting and managed to get my vehicle to the shop so I can get my car back the same day. Right now as I am writing this it’s already 5PM and I never received the return call from Durham Towing company.
Called to inquire of the cost and was told it would a $100 flat rate because it was after hours, mind you there are open 24/7. Where is the after hour? That was my question and the hang up. Very disrespectful.
Needed a car towed for an early service appointment. Was told 45-60 minutes; hour and a half later had to call to ask for an update then a little while after that was called back and told the truck broke down. Would have been nice to get an update earlier (without me having to follow up) so I could have started making other arrangements.
We are a new family is new to the area and had a car breakdown and my mother needed help. They speaks Spanish which was very helpful. Also very good price as well. I will leave a 5 star review because of how helpful they were and also the price. Very nice people to me also.
DO NOT CALL THEM TO TOW ANYTHING. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LIE ABOUT COMPLETING A SERVICE THAT WASN'T. IM A VICTIM OF THIS TODAY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! THANK ME LATER!
I highly recommend this company for towing services. My wife's car broke down and needed to be picked up. They picked up our car within 30 minutes and it was super easy to get hitched onto their truck.

I called this company in a panic, as my son was on the side of the road with a blown tire. While prices everywhere are high, Anthony worked with me on getting a new tire for my car. His roadside associate contacted my son and put the new tire on my car. It was late, but my son made it home and we have a new tire. I appreciate the assistance. Anthony was extremely, polite, helpful and professional. Thank you!
Please note that this is a referral service, not an actual towing company. I find it misleading that this is not more clearly disclosed--even the name of the company seems misleading to me. When I called, I was sent to a company that wanted to charge about $65 more than my tow was worth (as I later confirmed) and would have accepted CashApp to lower the price a bit. Not comfortable with any of this.
They offered amazing, very helpful, and personable service when I was stranded due to a dead battery. My service technician even made me laugh during the ordeal! So ask for Anthony if you need tow service!
Highly recommend them! I rarely ever have car issues and I’ve had two in the past month. One was a battery, and the other was at flat tire. Very friendly, quick to respond and reasonably priced.
Tony was helpful and prompt and price seemed fair: $100 plus $5 per mile towed. I had my car towed from my local mechanic to the dealership and Tony and I were able to handle all the transactions over the phone without me being present for any of the exchanges. Obviously I was a little nervous about not being there to ensure my car was delivered to the destination but the dealership confirmed my car had arrived just like Tony said.
Full disclosure, this is this first time I've had a car problem that wasn't "my car has just exploded" or "what was once car, is now crushed soda can". Additionally, I have almost no grasp of the rattle and hum that produces my daily commute.
Despite these obstacles, I was provided a straightforward, friendly, and anxiety relieving experience from this towing company at a price that I honestly have no solid, experience based metric of judging. But still, I would say that the price seemed more than fair, and honestly I kinda was expecting it to be a bit more than it was (but, again I have no prior experience).
Helped my family out of a bind when my oldest son's car broke down on USC campus. The driver was able to talk to the campus police who were going to impound his car. I wanted to write this review in appreciation for the company's hard work in resolving the issue.
Unprofessional... Was given their number by a hiway patrol office following my father's motorcycle accident. The man on the phone sounded irritated from the moment he answered. Turns out the PO gave me the wrong number for the company who actually had his bike and in trying to ask if he could help me figure out who I need to talk to I was hung up on.
Called for a tow to a service center because my car wouldn't start. Thought it was the battery so I jumped it but still couldn't get it to start so I assumed it must be something else. Durham towing company sent someone out quickly and he immediately confirmed it was a dead battery and gave me a jump so I could get it to Advanced Auto for a new battery. Saved so much time and money. Will definitely be using them in the future!!
Thank you to the driver Harold for getting me out of a tight spot near the airport so I could catch my flight. He came to tow my car to a repair shop and drop me off at the terminal for during the morning rush. Great stuff! I put them on speed dial.
Thank goodness for these guys - seriously the ONLY Towing Company that answered the call last night. Yes, the prices were a bit on the high side, but this was Thanksgiving - and at night. Called a few other places and all I got was rudeness.
Thanks to Durham Towing Company for picking me up all the way in Hillsborough. Tom's a great driver and took care of my bat-wing motorcycle without damaging a thing :)
Got a flat in Hillsborough and took a little bit longer than expected to get there, but I guess that's to be expected since they're out of Durham. Very professional and courteous otherwise. $135 for the tow back to my house which I though was reasonable.
