I got a flat when some wood planks fell out of a garbage truck right in front of me. Fortunately someone told me about this shop behind the fire station. They were working on a vehicle and told me they could look at my tire in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later they were fixing my tire. The rate was very reasonable and I recommend this shop to everyone.
When our vehicle began overheating 5 mins from the lighthouse, it was clear we had an antifreeze leak. We drove to the NAPA in Buxton where an employee recommended the shop across the street could jack the truck up to confirm where the leak originates. The shop was able to get the parts delivered and installed within 2 and a half hours while we waited at the restaurant next door. We are from out of town and had our dogs with us so Abel really helped us out. 10/10 would recommend.
Visiting the area from out of town when our starter went out. Got an excellent referral from the roadside assist/towing company. The shop found the right part and got us on our way in a matter of hours. Freindly and exceptional service.

Had a check engine light on, but it went off as I was driving to shop.. Owner was busy, yet came over to me and inquired about my vehicle. Performed a diagnostic check and couldn't find any issues. Sometime it's a computer glich and corrects itself. 5 minutes and $20 later I was on my way. Great service and people.
This place is a god send. Anyone traveling and in need of emergency or just any repairs should go here. This man saved our whole vacation and went above and beyond. Great prices, trust worthy and will make sure you are taken care of no matter what. Cannot say enough good things about this place.
So far this is three stars, it will go down to 1 if i dont hear back from the guy that has the car that was towed there. We talking with me on the phone last week and was going to give me a quote to fix the car but now i have dead air and nobody is answeing the call... might need to get local officals involved..

Getting in touch with my own insurance company for emergency road service was a waste of time in that they gave us options 30 miles away and we would have to wait until Monday. Then I found the Auto Shop OBX online right there in Buxton. I was so happy to get a call early Sunday morning from Abel that he would take care of my vehicle first thing Monday morning and he also gave me the name of a local tow service who helped us on Sunday. By noon Monday we had our vehicle back and running. Fortunately it was only a dead battery but the relief and gratitude we felt was awesome. Thank you Abel.
This place is awesome!! They fixed a problem with my Toyota Tacoma right on time and very affordable. I really appreciate the service they gave me and highly recommend them if you are in need of repair.
We drove down from pennsylvania and long story short, the guys at the dealership we go to "gmc" messed up and left a part loose which caused are serpentine belt to strip and Abel got the part over night and put on for 200 bucks which is amazing, could of said more but didn't, was honest was awesome and highly recommended

Our vehicle was towed in on a Friday afternoon with a broken caliber and brake line. We had the car back the next day (Saturday) with the wheel fixed and all brake pads/rotors replaced. Would recommend highly when in need of an Auto Repair on Hatteras Island.
Abel was recommended Maintenance at Brindley Beach Realty Hatteras. I called him up and was able to get parts, arrange for transportation to and from my beach house, and get my brakes repaired the same day. Highly recommend!
Had a major truck malfunction soon after we arrived (bad front shock). Abel was recommended by the NAPA associate. He expertly replaced the two front shocks on a SATURDAY, without an appointment. Thanks also to NAPA for getting the parts in overnight. 10 stars, if we could.
First impressions it looks a little rough , but they did an excellent repair on my Tacoma which had a brake line fluid leak , the job is very neat and well done ,and the price was very reasonable.
