Awesome awesome service! Trying to leave at 5 am ( 12 hour trip home) one car in our party’s car died and needed a new battery. Sure we had to wait until eight when they opened but when we got there, they got us right in installed the new battery and we are on our way. We were on Ocracoke on vacation at the National Sea Shore campground when the fuel pump on our generator died. We took the hour and a half journey ( between the drive and the ferry ) to Buxton to grab the parts. I didn’t get their names, but the two guys I dealt with were great people. They knew exactly what I was asking for and jumped right on it. I walked out into the parking lot and forgot a piece twice, but they were still just as friendly as could be. Couldn’t ask for better. The generator is back up and running.
Had some vehicle issues while visiting on vacation and the guys here were so helpful. They didn't have the part I needed but helped me get one and get back on the road rather quickly for being on an island. Can't thank them enough for the support they provide.
Woody and his team not only found a seemingly impossible to find oil filter for me, but got it to me the next day! Truly thankful for their exceptional customer service and hospitality
We are so fortunate to have our NAPA store! They sell parts and accessories BUT they will check things for you ; check fluids - install a battery- and they can suggest what to ask the mechanic if a repair is necessary. So helpful 😄
After driving down to Buxton during the previous night, we realized our headlights were almost useless. Stopped and asked if they had any replacements and if they could install them. Kyle came out and said he would have a look, unfortunately they are the high definition headlights, $100 each and really hard to install without dismantling the front end. As we were walking back in, he recommended trying to restore the plastic assemblies with a 3m lens restoration kit. So glad we stopped, product actually worked and after an hour I was able to refurbish the lens plastic. Thanks again for being willing to help.
Needed some good quality nuts and bolts to make a repair to my Jeep while on vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The selection of parts was great! You might want to check your clip/spring-nut inventory though.
Called and asked if they could help with checking my tire for leaks and the guy over the phone had great energy and sounded happy to help. Got there and was greeted by Jeff who grabbed his soapy water and made sure he and my girlfriend were safe to go before departing. Great guy, really personable!
Needed a part for the battery to the trolling motor while on vacation. Napa had the part and it was the same price as if I would have ordered it on Amazon and it took me 10 minutes to get there. Nice to know you can get things when you are on vacation and really need them.
Exceptionally friendly staff. I needed oil for my motorcycle. They looked up and found the correct type & they gave me a funnel & paper towels to top off my bike. Very pleasant experience. I wish their store was near where I live!
Thanks so much for help with the battery yesterday. I completely recognize truly great customer service coming from 20 + years of it! Not only did you call every regular customer by name ( as I would) you treated every non regular/non local just as well. Great customer service seems to be a lost art, I hope you can impart this skill onto your counterparts!
Woody will help you out with anything you need, if they happen to not have it, which is very rarely they can definitely get it for you. Seems like everything I've ordered says it will fit my Jeep but it hasn't so I had to end up going there every single time you get the right part. Great customer service just all around great people!!!!
We had an emergency with a popped transmission line. We were still 15 minutes away from the store, they closed at 5:30. We called and spoke to Jeff. Explained our situation and asked if they could stay open an extra 15 minutes as we were driving to them. Not a problem he said. We arrived there and were able to purchase what we needed to fix the bubbled transmission line. Thank god for Jeff and Tommy that stayed and took the time out of their day, their plans to help out a complete stranger. Wonderful family owned business. Highly recommend buying all of your automotive needs from them !!!! Thank you again!!
Actually it wasn't me but a friend. His truck wouldn't start when he pushed the button. The NAPA guy cleaned the terminals, checked the battery and it showed it was good but the truck still wouldn't start. Then he remembered that with push button ignitions you had to test the battery with the terminal wires disconnected. The battery showed 10 amps and after replacing it the truck started with no problem. Kudos to the NAPA guy and NAPA!
Here on vacation and my battery started to fail…I drive a Honda Element (2006) and was concerned about finding a replacement. These folks not only had one in stock, but tested the battery and installed it, all in less than 20 minutes on a Sunday! So friendly and accommodating!
Woody was super helpful in getting tires replaced on our camper. We blew a tire and decided it’s best to just get all new before heading home. Woody ordered them and had them in a day. Fantastic service and highly recommend.
Our car battery totally died on Okracoke Island, and we couldn't get a hold of the one shop on the island. Desperately I called NAPA Auto Parts, and they told me they courier to the island at no charge! I called around 1PM on a Monday, and I had the new battery by 11AM the next day delivered right up to our exact campsite. The workers were so helpful, and the price was better than what was even showing online! Highly recommend them!!
Our car battery died and would not hold a charge. Called NAPA they said they had a battery and could install it right away. We drove the 5 miles from Avon to Buxton and had our new battery installed within 20 minutes. What a great place! Thank you for saving our vacation.
These folks are awesome! I went in and bought a bulb for my left brake light and asked if they would mind changing it for me. They did it without hesitation, I even offered the kind gentleman a few bucks for changing the bulb for me and he said "I am blessed. Just pay it forward" and I'm going to do just that. I highly recommend them both for their excellent customer service, fair prices and kindness. I plan to use their services again for all my autopart needs.. I used to work in the autopart industry and know when I'm being "taking for a ride", these people are amazing and are very trustworthy. I highly recommend them!
I went out to leave my camp site and found i had dead batteries. Woody and Chris happened to be in the campground. They not only tried to jump my truck off but then had two batteries delivered from the store to my site and installed them. These guys are awesome! Friendly, helpful, and reasonably priced. I greatly appreciate them and cannot say enough good things about them!
We owe a big thank you to this place. When we got into town our Jeep had some issues and they helped us out and had a guy to work on it in the same day. So friendly and willing to help us. It’s good to know that there are still businesses that will help you and not try to take advantage of a bad situation. Thank you guys.
To anyone in the area who needs a mechanic, my husband and I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. We had the bearings on our boat trailer fail on our 5 hr drive home and Chris made his shop immediately available to fix our trailer with 5 minutes notice. He went above and beyond to do the repair, charged us fairly, and checked on us later that day to make sure we were safe. He is an excellent mechanic, and deserves your business!
Woody was great. He helped diagnose my car issues and arranged to have a local mechanic do the repair. Very helpful and kind to tourists. I cannot express how grateful I was to find this NAPA location.
NAPA Auto Parts in Buxton is a great place for anything automotive. The starter on my car died. They spent a lot of time making sure that it was the starter and not anything else. They ordered the new one and it was there in less than 24 hours. It is a super friendly family business. Highly recommended!
If there was a way to give more than five stars, I would award it. Woody has gone beyond normal customer service and helped me immensely. I arrived by boat on a Saturday night with an alternator problem. I called him on Sunday and he hooked me up with a new alternator by Monday afternoon. Woody even had his employee go to Wanchese and pick it up from the Cat dealer. He used his press to pull the pulley off the old one and install it on the new one. He did this for an out-of- state traveler, not one of his regular customers. Absolutely unbelievable. Please support this business as customer service such as this rarely exists in today's world. I had a dead battery and called NAPA and Woody told me over the phone he could put my battery in for me when I brought my vehicle up. Got it started and drove there and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Woody put in the battery while I watched, and was very helpful in letting me see what he did. I needed a headlight to replace a broken one and this NAPA dealer really provided great customer service.
We were vacationing at the beach of Cape Hatteras. Woody ordered my replacement headlight, got it delivered the same day! After the store closed, he drove it to our campsite , brought his own tools and installed the replacement head light. He was engaging, friendly and was very helpful. We could not have imagined such awesome customer service from a dealer that will likely never see us again in our lives!
