I called in to talk about meeting up to look at a car. Super lovely lady over the phone was super helpful until that goober, Mark picked up the phone. He was insanely rude and told me that I was wasting time and if I was interested I should just come in. I hope Mark gets fired for his rude and demeaning comments about my mother.
Marcs Auto has been amazing throughout my car journey. I will never go anywhere else for a car. Yes it's a buy here pay here but it's the best customer services and they have very reliable cars!!! 10 out of 10 I highly recommend!!!
*WARNING * Do not walk, RUN away!! DO NOT spend your hard earned money here!! No more than a week after I left the lot the check engine light was on, I contacted Mark and was told it’s probably just a “bad O2 sensor” and “it won’t affect the drivability of the car” so I should just continue to drive it (unless I wanted to pay to get it fixed myself after only having the damn thing a week). So I continued driving it and of course the more I drove it the worse the driving experience became (SN: the job I have requires frequent travel so I was otr a lot). Took the car back to him twice, first time he barely checked the car out then just brushed me off telling me “well it is a used car” as if I somehow was too mentally incompetent to know what I had purchased. The second time he kept it for a couple days, told me multiple people at the shop drove the car but couldn’t find anything wrong with it, Then followed up by again insulting me claiming that I may just be making up problems with the car cause I didn’t like it… The final straw was the damn car cutting off on me going down the interstate. Even when I called and told him what had happened he was very passive and condescending! The whole experience was the worst I have ever had with any dealership EVER! No accountability, no reasoning or empathy, just arrogance, and passive aggression with no sense of conflict resolution! Even threw the car problems I made my payments on time (if not early) I tried reasoning with them and just asking to be swapped into another vehicle but was told that I would have to fork over an entirely new deposit as if money is just so easy to come by (guess it does if you’re in the business of scamming folks) keep in mind at the time of that conversation I had not even reached 90 days with the car. Moral of this story between the down payment and the 4 months of payments I’m out $3700 and have to start over from scratch while he throws a band aid on a clearly dying car and prepares to scam another person out of their hard earned dollars.
Very unprofessional made arrangements to get pay my car note. Which I was gonna be a week late I was behind months or anything so I told them I can pay it the following Wednesday when I got paid it wasn’t even noon when he repo it i called them to find out what happen to the arrangement we talked about about through text messages just last week. Office help couldn’t give me reasonable answer. Only thing she kept saying people lies to us all the time. But I didn’t lie I made arrangements to pay you next Wednesday and it Wednesday. She very unprofessional got loud with me talking who gonna pay my bills and my kids I’m like you the only person who have bills and kids I work an arrangement with you and you guys did the opposite. Then she hung up on me.
When I went to get my belongings out the car I wasn’t rude I was over it . Then he (Mark) proceeded to walk towards me he pop the hood and starting to look at the car. Then he looked towards me and say if you ever want another car come see us. Umm no sir thank you. I honestly recommend you to look elsewhere.
He allows unlicensed people to drive his cars with only liability. It is dangerous. I would never let someone unlicensed with no insurance get a car even if the person has license that is purchasing the car he is dangerous. Please be careful.
From the time I got there until the time I left they were very nice, pleasant, and professional.....the lady that work in the office was extremely wonderful.....I would recommend Mark's Auto Sales LLC to all my friends and family....keep up the GREAT job you all are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to wait until after my 30 days to post and I don’t have any issues with my car. He did give me a 30 day warranty and I will definitely come back and do business with him and would recommend him.
He’s rude on the phone and arrogant. Claims to be the number one used car sales in Fayetteville with a 3 star rating and lots of complaints, would rather use cheap parts. Has basically called customers stupid at tax season cause they’ll buy anything.
Staff was very knowledgeable about the vehicles there, kind and knew just what I wanted based on my interests. I walked out happily and appreciate the great customer service. They made my car buying experience easy and I highly recommend Mark's Auto!
Have purchased 5 vehicles from Mark over the years. 3 of which, went on 300+ mile trips straight off the lot, never had any major issues with any of them. Mark will go out of his way to find any vehicle that you might be looking for and keeps in contact with what he has found. Would recommend!!!
I would not recommend this place for buying a used vehicle at Mark's Auto. DON'T BUY FROM HERE!!!!!! Be careful of what you buy here. Definitely over priced. I almost had a truck paid off and according to them being a few payments behind and this dealer made no attempts to contact us either by phone, mail, or email like my other car dealer does and advise us of the situation or that they where coming to repo it. At least the place that I have my other car through and still making payments on is working with us. Mark's Auto definitely never called, mailed me. The 2002 Toyota tundra I had, had a rusted frame from being up north and the suspension was shot and rusted out, and the whole front end suspension needed to be replaced and/or rebuilt and was paying almost 10k for it when I did my research that it was over priced for the shape it was in. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!! Go elsewhere. I've dealt with other buy here pay here dealers and bought better vehicles that weren't high priced as Mark's Auto.
Have bought several vehicles from here. No issues until this one - which happened to be the most expensive. in June of 2020 bought a 2015 Ford Focus that had issues from day 1. Had to take it to dealer for some recall work (thankfully) on the clutch/transmission. Worked my rear off to pay off car early, however did not completely pay off because Mark owed me a sight shield and was unable to acquire one at the time of purchase and I wanted to still be under contract with him to provide this part, I felt if I paid it off he would not honor it. Mothers Day weekend 2021, car randomly stopped running. Just would not start. Had to have it towed home. Contacted Mark and the only help he would give me was the name and number of some mechanic. Contacted him, and based on the description of the issue, did not want to take the job. That's fine, because his estimate was outrageous! Had another mechanic come to the house to look at vehicle and he refused to take on the job as well due to it possibly being electrical issues and could turn into a rabbit hole...nice guy, appreciated his honesty. Fast forward to Nov 2021, finally had car towed to dealership, it was there for several months and their Master Mechanic had never seen this kind of issue (that's another story). Final payment was scheduled March 10, 2022. That is the day that Marks Auto towed my car out of the dealership with less than $300 owed. The fact that I had been hospitalized for COVID pneumonia and was out of work for almost a month meant nothing. To get the car back, Mark wants over $1k, when less than $300 was the remaining balance, on the day the final payment was due per payment schedule. Remember the sight shield? Never got that either. Car turned into a MONEY PIT, and Mark is very unprofessional, has a disgusting attitude, can be very rude and nasty - which is sad since he owns Marks Auto. He is an unfeeling sheister. And his office help rudely hung up on me. Will NEVER do business with him again.
I normally dont write reviews however this one is necessary. I took my car to Mark bc it was making a humming noise. He asked me to drop it off so he could drive it and tell me what he thought the issue was. I had to leave it for over three hours, I went to pick it up, it drove worst than it did when I took it to him. They are rude, his prices are insame and I would not recommend anyone leaving there car there to be fixed or looked at bc Im quiet sure he made the issue worst and was not able to tell me what the issue was. I sent him a text and let him know I will be reporting him to the better business bureau. I believe that if you leave your car there you will have more problems than when you take it there. All about getting moeny out of people. Horrible expereince
Just visited this location to see a vehicle. I completely understand now why there are so many negative reviews written about this dealership. Definitely not a good feel. I wouldn't advise doing business here.
Mark and his team are some amazing people. Their prices are unbeatable! Go look around and tell I sent you. They treat you like you're their family!!! Don't walk, uber or lyft anymore because Mark and family care about your wallet/purse and feet.
Girl friend purchased a car from mark a week ago she took it back the radiator was leaking and running hot. Only 5 days he charged her 100.00 to fix it now u know she going to have problems soon because all they did was plug the hole for 100.00 dollars please make sure u take someone that knows about cars when u go to marks auto on Honeycutt
They sold me a Lemon , the manager is not professional at all. The car I financed had mechanical issues as soon as I drove the car off the lot. I advise to go look somewhere else cause it's a waste of money to go there
I GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE I STILL HAVE ONE VEHICLE THREW HIM CANT WAIT TO PAY OFF, OTHERWISE I RECENTLY GAVE SUV BACK AFTER 5 MONTHS OF PAYING AND FIXING IT WAS JUNK. WASTED ALOT OF TIME & MONEY HIS COST TO FIX WAS OUT OF WACK, THE LOT TRUELY HAS USED CARS BEWARE !!

DO NOT BUY FROM HIM! On my first car payment I was told to I could pay the rest of the lean car with my first car payment. On the day of while I was at work he tows my car now and wants $500 the next day with no contact.And he did it bc of $15 he couldn't wait 8 hours for my car payment and what makes it worst I had my car payment and everything and my daughter didn't get to school and he didn't even flinched and the only thing he keep telling me is that's what's everybody say. This man is heartless just another Hustler.
I've brought 2 cars from here in the past year & a half & No issues with either of them,and I got them with no hassle..Mark is firm but reasonable..I will continue to buy cars from him & I will refer others there as well!! This is a used car lot with great deals & low interest rates, so u can't expect a brand new car with absolutely no issues,but I can promise u will get a descent vehicle for the price u pay
The short; purchased 4 vehicles without issue. Pricing has always been fair, customer service has been great.
The long; I realize that I am purchasing a used vehicle. If it was perfect the previous owner would not have disposed of it. I fully expect to have to do maintenance and I check out reviews on a vehicle before I purchase. I also know that some vehicles have common issues and those issues may have to be addressed at some time.
With this in mind I am aware I am purchasing a vehicle "as is" and that it is my responsibility to have the vehicle looked at prior to purchase by a certified mechanic of my choice. It seems from the lack of details on negative reviews I have read that these people are expecting things outside the realm of reality.
Just keep in mind you are looking for a used car, do your homework, you will have a great experience here. FYI they seem to be always busy, that should tell you something.
DO NOT Buy a car from here. Mark pretends to be one way in front of you and then nasty over the phone. He sold me a car that was a flood vehicle and I did not find that out until I took the car for inspection to renew my tags and I found that out. No one will fix my car so now I have to buy a whole new vehicle.. mark is a CON ARTIST plain and simple.

Do not buy from Marks auto on honey cutt dr. He sold me a lemon and to others also. He will make u feel like he is ur best friend n tey to act like u gettn a deal n scamming u the whole time. He is fast with his words n tries to full u. Dont fall for it. Everybody that works for him is in with the scam. He got most of his cars from the hurricaine so be careful. He has them working until u get off lot n then breaks down on u. When u call him he says have car towed to him n he will fix it. Beware every1.
If you want something that's going to last for about 2+ years , then don't buy from them , if you want something that you'll have to sell after 3-4 months of owning it , then buy from them. 95% of their cars are lemon cars , you're lucky if you've bought from them and haven't had any major problems AND the owner knows absolutely nothing about cars , guy can't even differentiate a Mazda 3 from a Mazda 6 AND he's rude and disgusting and only cares about making money.
My experience with them has been great! Just recently bought my second vehicle from this establishment. They really took the time to listen and understand what type of vehicle I was looking for and kept it within my price range. The car is in beautiful condition and runs smooth! I will definitely continue to do business with them.
Bought an Envoy but the A/C had stopped working. I took it back and Mark fixed it and at no charge. Since that happened I have had no issues with it and love my Envoy. I give him 4 stars only because when I bought the vehicle it wasn't what I'd call squeaky clean but I took to get washed up real nice.
What more can one ask for cheap prices cheap cars but no rip offs. you get what you pay for end of story. but know this they'll do more for you than most used car lots and they have a cheap doc fee too.
