Highly recommend!! Broke down on the way home from work and call a few places but the prices was $3$$, call this one and in 20 min I was home with my car!! Just wanted to thank the gentlemen who saved the day!! And only ask for 80

The best company around! A great family beach trip ended in being stranded near Wadesboro with kids and dogs! No local company was available and in a last ditch effort I called home town Hamby’s. They came right away, got us home safely and we even got to ride with the famous race car driver…Ronnie! I can’t say enough about how wonderful they are!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Sunday night on a holiday weekend stranded 60 miles from home with a 5 year old, 2 blown tires on my boat trailer; Hamby’s showed up in less than 45 minutes and had my boat loaded and on the way. Not only did they make it to my house at the top of a mountain but proceeded to back up to the garage and were able to roll the boat straight off the truck into the garage with no issues. If you’re in the Hickory area and need a tow, there is no better.

Towed my bass boat and trailer home after losing a hub on hwy 64. Very quick response, great damage free operator, and a fair price on a Saturday evening emergency. Great experience from phone call to completion.

Our Toyota Echo broke down on I 40 W during a busy traffic time on a Saturday evening. We called AAA. In the brief time we waited for help through AAA, four passing drivers stopped and asked us if we needed help! What wonderful Good Samaritans live hereabouts! Sean (or Shawn or Shaun) arrived promptly in his Hamby tow truck and greeted us in a friendly manner. He talked and joked with my son (who has Down syndrome) and helped my son to calm down after the car mishap. He diagnosed our car problem quickly (the alternator) and suggested options for repairs and for continuing our journey. He recommended a rental car company (if we needed it) and a mechanic open 7 days. He drove us to a nearby motel and recommended restaurants within walking distance and restaurants that delivered. He helped us get luggage from the car. Then he towed the car to the recommended mechanic and left our contact information and instructions with the mechanic. My family had just spent a wonderful week at the Outer Banks. Strange to say, the car breakdown was the high moment of our trip for me. Meeting four Good Samaritans willing to stop on a busy interstate to help a stranger was a blessing. Meeting a fifth Good Samaritan with a tow truck and mechanical skill, knowledge, and experience was another blessing. (Sean even set up my iPhone to help me contact the mechanic.) My wife, my son, and I are grateful to all those helped us, and especially to Sean and to Hamby Towing.

Very thankful for Hamby's towing. My sons car broke down on the way back from school. It took them a hour to pick him up and delivered car to our garage that was thirty miles away. The driver was very nice to my son and his girlfriend. Thank you for great service!

In this day and age finding good people can be few and far between. Richard Hamby was able to help my family out when we needed it and refused payment on account of recent hardships from the hurricane. I can’t recommend this business enough. If I could give him 200 stars I would.

Driver was extremely rude when he arrived to tow. Real hateful and disrespectful to everyone lucky his service was needed but I will never use it again.

The engine on my mom's car had seized up, and Hamby's towing was there in no time flat. The gentleman was very nice, professional, and helpful. We expected to owe him an arm and a leg for towing the car from Morganton to Lenoir, but we were pleasantly surprised by the low and reasonable cost. I recommend this company for any and all your towing needs.

Answered the phone when no other company would. Very early hours of the morning amd they still worked me in within 2 hours. Very friendly and professional. Reasonably priced.

We were on our way to Kentucky to take our son his vw beetle. We were towing it and our truck overheated. We found a dealership that supposedly fixed it and 5 miles later we were on side of road. Dealership offered no assistance so we called hambys. The driver was WONDERFUL! He took us to motel and picked us up the next morning and took us and both vehicles back home. His name on bill was VASSER. He was absolutely the BEST!

We got stuck in Marion North Carolina late in the evening after doing some work in town. AAA was quite backed up, and after an hour and a half still did not have a tow. We called Hambry's and Rich called AAA and got the process moved along. Shaun got us where we needed to go. We got excellent service and a ride in a nice truck!

We were traveling towing a travel trailer on I-40 and broke down. Highway Patrol called these guys and it didn't take them long to get to us at all. This happened on a Sunday Father's Day to be exact. They towed our vehicle to the dealership and our travel trailer to the campground were we would be staying. They were so helpful and they didn't have to tow our travel trailer to the campground but they did. I highly recommend these guys. The price they charged was very reasonable. If ever in the area again and need a tow I will definitely reach out to these guys again. They were friendly and very helpful. Very satisfied with their service.

Fast and efficient! A and A fixed our truck in a couple days and it runs great! Definitely recommend! AAA chose them but we will look to them for future repairs!

I was traveling through the area with my travel trailer and had an issue with my truck. I use AAA and they assigned my ticket to Hamby's towing. The owner reached out in a few minutes after AAA assigned them the call. We spoke and he understood that this was not a normal towing call due to my truck and trailer. I spoke with him about the issue I was having with the truck and he recommended the Morganton Ford Dealership and also recommended I call them and let them know the issue and we were on our way. It took about an hour and a half before the driver arrived but we understood this was due to our size. The driver was one of the friendliest persons we have ever met. He was so professional and kind that he turned a very bad day for us into a not so horrible day. He was very safe in all aspects. We are not from this area but I would highly recommend their towing service should anyone need assistance. I have let AAA know they have teamed with a very good business for this service.

I had to edit my review on this company. After using Hambys towing the next day found out that he, the owner broke the piece in my bumper that u have to take out to pull it on the roll back and he didn't bother to tell me.. very dishonest.

Can’t thank these guys enough!! Would give them 10 stars if I could. They went above and beyond to make sure we got off the interstate and were taken care of for the night we broke down towing our camper through Morganton. Mr. Hamby and his associate SAVED the day for my wife and I! We were on our way to Tennessee with our camper when my truck's turbo went out on Black Mountain. It was a crazy busy day today and all wrecker and towing businesses were stretched thin. After 3 hours of trying to find help to get back home we finally found Hamby's Towing ,which called me back and saved the day! Rich was fantastic. My car broke down in the middle of nowhere. I found Hamby's via AAA and Rich was there in 15 mins. He was careful with my car and he had a top-notch flatbed. He found a good shop and call the owner on a Sunday night to ensure that my car could be repair the next morning. Rich then took me to a clean hotel and waiting to make sure that I was all set with a room before leaving. Rich is a super nice guy and he really goes out of his way to take care of people. I am so appreciative of his expertise and hosptiality.

Hamby's towing is the best! Richard picked up my car on a Sunday within thirty minutes of my breaking down. My girlfriend and I were on a short trip to the mountains and ran into some trouble on I-40. Richard went above and beyond to make sure that the car got to the auto shop safely. Along with being efficient, he was also kind and helped lighten the mood when we weren’t sure of the fate of the car.

I had my 2011 BMW towed from Morganton to Hendricks BMW in Charlotte. I was first told they would be picking up my car at 10:30 am then 11:09 am. Finally I got a call from the driver at 11:20 am. He said he was filling up with gas. He arrived 20 minutes later. I had my car parked in my driveway with the wheels pointing straight. The driver pulled in the driveway right in front of my car with his tow truck. He got out of his truck and said that he was going to pull to the bottom of the driveway. He said that the only way he could load the car was for me to get in the car and that he and a friend of mine were going to push the car onto the tow truck. I told him that my car's battery was dead and I left it in neutral so he could pull the car straight onto the tow truck. He said that my car was to low to the ground to pull it up by the towing tool that u screw into the bumper. The car was pushed straight down the driveway then he told me to turn the wheel to the left. The front and the rear bumpers scrapped as the car rolled down the driveway onto the tow truck. He asked me to keep my foot on the brake and to turn my wheels to the right. Then he asked me where the towing tool was and I told him it was in the trunk. I gave him the key and explained to him where the tool was located. Next he went to the front passenger side bumper and screwed in the towing tool. A cable was hooked to the tool and the car was pulled up a few more inches. I got out of the car and the tow driver, my friend and I went to the front passenger side where the tow driver tried to turn the front wheel straight by pulling the tire. Long story short. My front bumper, rear bumper, and front tire were damaged. I called the company and told them about the damage and they told me there was no way they damaged my front tire.

My car broke down and I was really far from home. The tow truck came out and was a huge help! They recommended an autoshop near by as well. The driver was professional and contacted me to give updates for arrival. I would highly recommend them.

Great service. Vacation that started with a truck that broke down pulling a camper on the side of I 40 with my family kids 6 and 3. I can’t express how good these people were to us. They had the perfect opportunity to take advantage of us in a desperate situation but were totally reasonable and professional and made it all possible for my family to continue our vacation. Highly recommend them, wish more people were like this now in this country.

This wrecker service left me, my daughter & 2 children under the age of 4 waiting for them to tow my vehicle for OVER 2.5 hrs & 1.5 hrs after he cancelled the tow thru my roadside assistance provider. He had my phone number & spoke with me twice on the phone but never mentioned he couldn’t or wouldn’t be coming...he actually gave me an ETA then cancelled the tow right after. He obviously has no consideration for his customers, zero communication skills & absolutely NO decency. Do yourself a favor & call someone else...someone who will actually show up!!
