You can hop on the MST here. Go left, not right. The hike is beautiful with a mix of forest, rock, and flower fields. About 1.5 miles in, you'll have several beautiful overlook stops. Perfect for photos and a snack break.
Ich bewerte hier weder einen Wanderweg, noch eine Region. Nur den Overlook gilts hier zu bewerten, damit das klar ist. Wer in der Gegend ist und auf'm Blue Rdg Pkwy bei Barnardsville rumlungert, für den lohnt sich ein kurzer Stop am Overlook. Dieser bietet eine erstklassige Aussicht. Klare Empfehlung, auch wenn das Hinweisschild am Parkplatz fehlt. Haben gewiss deutsche Touristen geklaut.

I live about 30 minutes from here and, YES BEFORE YOU ASK, it's BEAUTIFUL here in Autumn/Fall... It's BEAUTIFUL here at ANY Season, so I go view Our North Carolina BLUE RIDGE ? MOUNTAINS as much as I can.
As a "LOCAL YOKEL", I find it SO interesting/not surprising the number of People who visit here, therefore I am accommodating/nice to My Kindred Travelers and Adventurous Fellas and Ladies.
Please come and visit! This is just one of the Beautiful stops along The Blue Ridge ? Parkway. This one is a circular stop that is large enough to accommodate cars/trucks/vans and even a couple of RV's. To get a great view and maybe just "sit for a spell to enjoy the view" back-up Your vehicle and bring a lawn chair or etc.
This location has EXCELLENT Hiking Trails with BEAUTIFUL views as well and this site IS ?? FRIENDLY.
Zero Restroom ? facilities. Zero Garbage ?️/Trash disposal containers. So, please bring something to dispose of Your trash/garbage ?️ in...

Nice overlook staring out over the communities of Montreat and Black Mountain. According to the National Park Service, they say that Graybeard Mountain is often foggy with only its peak exposed giving it the appearance of a "gray bread" covering the mountain. There's also some really great hiking in the area!
