Usually solid and well run. However today (9/5/25) they locked the gate 5 mins prior to stated closing hours. This is not proper, especially for a taxpayer funded entity.
This is an awesome place for dropping off electronics, recyclables, large items, it is especially nice for gardeners such as myself, you can get free compost, topsoil, mulch and wood chips. They are open on Saturday mornings so bonus points there. The only requirement is that you are a resident of white Plains and can show proof if they ask.
Good place to drop off unneeded electrical items. There is also a volunteer run "Leave It, Take It" on site.
There is also a place to leave composting materials and to pick up compost for your garden.
Convenient, well organized, one stop shopping for bulk drop and pickup of gardening related basics. Bring your DL with WP address, just in case they ask.
