Look, no one likes having to use body repair services for an accident. When we were rear ended on Labor Day, we had the car towed to RJT. Despite no advanced notice or information, they accepted the car and the next morning we were able to start coordination with the insurance company and them. They handled all those aspects normal folks don't know - coordination with insurance inspections, estimates and supplementals etc. When I would call for status updates, John always knew off the top of his head the status, what parts were still waiting on delivery, what they were working on next. It made it feel professional, like your car mattered. Even when we were delayed due to a backordered part, they were clear and honest with their time estimates, explaining whether the part was on its way or not, and how long it would take once it arrived. And they were proactive about procuring the part -- I never felt like I needed to step in and call the manufacturer myself. Front of house was friendly, never got annoyed by me calling for updates or stopping by if I was in the area. Quality on receiving the car back was excellent, there were no ways to tell it was a rebuilt rear bumper area. I hope I never need to use you for body repair again, but if I do, I'll give you my business again.

Terrible. Unreasonable prices and nonchalant non caring attitudes. Won’t recommend to anyone or use again.

Will cause damages to your car and lie . Thank God my boyfriend took pictures and videos while my car was being towed. Will be suing. Highly unprofessional. Will be reporting to better business bureau. They didn’t even know how to turn my car with push start without programmed fob. So unfortunately my windows were left open and noticed animal droppings inside. No one to take accountability. Please start taking pictures of your customers cars before loaded onto your truck. Valet parking does it. You should too. To prevent issues like this see you in court.

THIEVES! my car was towed per white plains police department from a traffic stop. I did not ask for a tow. Nothing was wrong with my car. It was in a parking spot when I got pulled over. I went to get my car within 2 hours. The lady in the front told me to wait because the manager was “editing my bill” She then approached me with a smirk saying they’re charging me $400…I just think that’s beyond unethical. For what? Pure thieves. Didn’t even cost this much when they towed my vehicle from an accident and kept it for almost a week. Complete thieves. Very disappointed. Putting people in financial hardships knowing the work you did doesn’t add up to the price is pure robbery. God is watching though.

I had a guy told my car from the airport the other night and he couldn’t even get the car onto The bed properly. Had no idea what he was doing. Took him 45 minutes to put it on after we had to push the car for him back-and-forth because he didn’t even know how to park his truck at the right angle or know how to use the chain to bring it up.

I Recently needed to have my car towed and through AAA my tow was done by RJT towing. My experience was very positive. I had requested that the driver give me a 15 minute lead time before arrival so I could be present and the driver Norm did just that. Norm brought a flatbed and was very professional & personable. He kindly allowed me to ride with him to the mechanic. His truck cab was extremely clean and our conversation easy. It’s always stressful when your car breaks down and Norm’s amiable nature helped make things easier.

What can you say nicely about my Car being Towed by RJT Co.? I was ill and ended in the Hospital. My Car was parked in front to bring in my food shopping. I am Disabled. Unfortunately no one told me my car was booted nor Towed. There is an area in front of our building for 15 min.parking to unload or pick up. I had exceeded that due to my illness. I went to RJT once home, and was given a Shock. Cost for Boot and Towing and Days Stored added to $1500! I was calm although no negotiations. The 2 girls up Front were so compassionate and one, C......., went above to offer a Driver to bring me to a Bank to get Cash, which is all they take. Did not have time to check my car, took off to get Food for my home. The Owner or Manager listened to how my Disability caused all this but I was more dissapointed to whom did not make me aware of my car up front for days. RJT kept me calm, and helped thru the process of a Big Surprise and the amount of money almost the cost of a one months Rent! Be aware of leaving your Car up Front for hours. ...

You know the sleezy trashy garages in movies that are the villains? This is that, but in real life! They lie and scam. Also say things need to be done, like sanding brand new rotors for an extra charge each rotor. They assume most people won’t realize their scammy practices and just pay the price. They also only accept cash, since they are doing some shady IRS stuff. I would stay as far away from this place as you can!

Worst mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. Miscommunication, overcharging, and not telling the whole truth. Paid $200 to put on a USED tire. Save your money and go somewhere else

RJT is the typical service provider for my area so I have frequent interactions with them. Generally speaking their technicians are pleasant to work with. However, I usually pick up some sort of damage with each service. I have experienced scraped and cracked body work from providers not bringing the proper equipment to load the vehicles as well as having inexperienced technicians who have placed the tow hooks incorrectly and bent my control arms mounts and ruptured power steering lines. For the most part, I let all of these things slide because as mentioned those guys have been pleasant and apologetic. My most recent interaction was the tipping point. From the very start of service the tow operator was rude and making comments that were inappropriate. I have an old vehicle that is on its way to be restored and the technician blatantly said to get another hobby, maybe I should. But when he saw one tire was low he refused to wait for the tire to be changed. I understand the timeline that these individuals operate under however the callus behavior and inappropriate remarks were unwarranted. I called RJT to setup service with another driver and was told that was not possible and they can only resend the same person. With this type of customer service in a tight knit Community, it's a surprise they have lasted this long.

Got car towed. Charged me $734, which is absurd. Only wanted cash which was super weird as well. Was $2 short and had me walk all the way to the nearest gas station to get the rest. Use someone else. Not a place you should work with. Many other places in white plains that are better.

It was a bad day getting worse. Fuel pouring out from my diesel truck. Flatbed comes then cable breaks goes back to shop gets a wrecker. Now my mechanic says he does not fix diesel’s anymore. Stuck in Harrison was going to Monroe then had to bring to my dealer in Kingston. Chris was great very personable just a nice guy. After Kingston he dropped me off so my friend can pick me up. He said he would drive me home but it was 4 hours already so I said just go and thanks very much.

HORRIBLE! RUDE! IGNORANT! MONEY GRUBBERS! They'll tell AAA that they are on the way and be there is 15 minutes to half hour...then they tell AAA more LIES about their arrival times. AAA needs to stop dealing with these "reply to every tow call" placed that either won't or don't get to your members in any decent amount of time. As a matter of fact, I got a call from the "dude" who was supposed to pick up my car...that they are busy with tows, blah, blah, blah, and he's had a previous tow on his on his truck since noon. REALLY!?...then that means someone's car has not been taken to where it should have gone for over 8 hours. Sounds like a monopoly tow company by shutting out other tow companies that are quite capable of towing. This company has been doing this to people, and showing poor towing practices for over 14 years according!!!!! Don't use these folks, AND neither should AAA give them any business by subjecting their members to this garbage. ZERO stars if I could give that. My reply to your reply: Not according to AAA. Your company was the original one that stated you would be there at or by 6:28pm. We NEVER heard from you until AAA reps kept trying to reach you you" and you finally called back to tell me that our almost 2hr wait was going to be 30-40minutes longer. STOP trying to make it seem like it wasn't your towing business!! I hope there is NEVER another time I ever have to deal with your business. BTW: It was as DRY as a chip on Monday afternoon so stop with the excuses for your bad business practices!! WILL NEVER RECCOMEND YOU!

This place has my husband's car in the shop for 2 going on 3 days now. Just needed flat tires changed. The shop has been closed during business hours. We can not get in contact with anybody. We call and people just hang up. This is westchester we need a car to get around. Especially on the weekends. Tow truck driver John has been the only one we talked to and saw. What kind of business are these people running? He was not made aware of anything. Had to call in to get any information. To be hung up on several times.

I cannot speak more highly of the two tow truck drivers sent to my apartment (via AAA) to help get my husband's dead Jeep out of the garage. They were both so patient and helpful, even with the heat and the difficultly encountered getting the vehicle just out of the spot, never mind the garage. This was especially meaningful since my husband had been sick for awhile and had two transplants four months ago and wasn't able to contribute much physically. It was tricky, but they didn't give up and problem solved it to a happy resolution. I truly appreciate the gentlemen sent to help us today. I would highly recommend them!

Very respectful customer service. I popped my tire near their shop and decided to give them a try. I was very happy because they attend to me as fast as possible. When they evaluated my tire they gave me options of a new tire or a used tire. I took the used tire because it was already there and available. It was very affordable too. My favorite thing I liked was they gave me a time estimate and we're done in no time. It's great to see that I can come in with a resentful manner and receive that respect back.

According to Westchester County Code, a $65 maximum booting charge can be levied for parking in a private lot, which I did so legitimately with a trip to SmashBurger. I was booted, yelled at by the first tow driver (who never called me when reaching out to posted number for RJT) and proceeded demanded cash of $162.50, no change. To get this I had to arrange a drive to my home for a debit card and bank and back to the premises ($20 in gas?). Let me add this is on a Sunday morning (see other reviews) and against the onsite signs that warn of "overnight" parking; not doing business in the lot and then getting a $162.50 "fee." The towing company will blame the owner of the premises for their business practices and that it is a commuter lot (on a Sunday?); complete with spotter in a black pickup truck that placed the boot about five minutes after we left the car according to their NOTICE, which was back dated by a day, perhaps to evade the Westchester County law on maximum fines? Been a resident for many years doing business at many places in this mall and otherwise, first time I will be going to small claims court and filing State/Cty inquiries into their practices due to a non-resolution of these complaints.

John and crew are professional, reliable, and trustworthy mechanics. Dealt with my insurance company well, did great work, and are always polite and responsive. We chose RJT based on my father-in-law's recommendation (he has been going to this shop for decades) and this shop has now officially earned my loyalty.

I am SO happy with my visit to RJT, I have never left a Google review before now. I got towed there around 4:00 PM, their website said they closed at 5:30, and STILL they were committed to calling local places to find tires for me and put them on that afternoon so I didn’t have to be stranded in White Plains for the night. Probably got out of there around 5:45 with two new front tires to fix the flat I got, plus a bad snow tire that was causing me problems. I didn’t realize how much my car rattled when driving bc of that tire, but now I drive a silent car and it’s crazy!! Cost me $400 for a tow and two tires. Considering the emergency nature and how willing they were to help, I’m more than happy to pay that price. (Disclaimer: I don’t know how much this stuff usually costs and would’ve paid whatever they told me it would take) The only sketchy thing was that the tow driver kept trying to steer me away from other closer mechanics and get towed to the “AAA service station” instead, which ended up just being RJT. I don’t know. Felt a little strange that they had to be slightly sneaky like that, but whatever, they did a great job and I really don’t care. I respect the hustle of trying to get more customers, captive or not Tow truck driver was super friendly, talked about his garden and his new tesla. Final point: the mechanic had great hair. Made me feel like the 1950s having a greaser with slicked hair work on my car. Not too many mechanics nowadays are devoted to that kind of cool lifestyle, definite bonus points for RJT.

I almost passed them by after reading a few bad reviews. I called John and told him I was going elsewhere. He said “we do a fair and honest business”. I decided to give him a chance. Glad I did. My Rover was repaired (brake issue) in 24 hours and cost 1/3 of what the dealer would’ve charged me. They also did the inspection on my vehicle and repaired an issue I was having with the brake light (which my mechanic could not resolve). Bad reviews are easy to come by … good ones are not as easy. I give them two thumbs up. You will too.

I wished I had read the reviews prior to having my vehicle towed there! RJT are overpriced!! I had a flat tire (a nail was stuck in the tire) and called AAA for service. The driver said he would take it to RJT, which is a AAA shop, and they could plug and patch the hole. I got there around 5pm. After waiting there until 5:45pm I asked the price for the plug and patch. They told me THE PRICE IS $49. I said sir, that is crazy, a plug and patch is no more than $20 at most. I even pulled it up on the internet (which showed the average price to be between $10-$25) and show him that he was ripping me off. Hell, a used tire is $50. At this point, it was 14 minutes to 6pm and all other places were about to close. I had to pay the price in order to get me and my child home, but I DO NOT recommend this place to ANYONE!!

What a disaster. When I see all of the other reviews I now know why. My gut said not to use them after being towed by AAA, but I did not listen. They received the car on 7/24. We picked up the car for the first time on 8/1. This is after many, many days where they could not find the problem and did not contact me once. Finally, they thought they found the problem, fixed it and we picked up the car on 8/1. Two days later the car stopped running on the Taconic Parkway. We could not use AAA and had to have it towed by the company who had the Taconic Parkway contract which does not accept AAA. I asked RJT if they wanted it towed to their station and if they would pay for it. They said “yes”. The first day they tried to fix it with no luck. The second and third day the only guy who could fix the car was out. I received no phone calls from updating me at any time throughout this debacle. On 8/8 we go to pick up the car and they refused to reimburse me for the towing. I left the car there and I told them they would hear from my attorney.

Worked on my 20 year old Grumman diesel truck with a one of a kind alternator. I broke down 50 miles from home. They contacted a rebuilder, got the part and got me on the road. Pricey; not their fault I guess, but I still got sticker shock. They offer rides if you have to leave your vehicle. Friendly staff. They explained the work and cost clearly. This is NOT your local oil change repair shop, but they can. If you have a problem that your basic service facility can't handle, give them a call. They know their stuff.

Called AAA, got towed for a flat tire and was highly recommended to go to RJT by the Tow Truck Driver. After getting dropped off, I waited over 2 hrs to get a quote on a new tire. RJT is understaffed and under qualified to be servicing cars as well as provide any decent customer service. I got charged $245 for one new tire! There were hidden charges in my itemized receipt and the owner Ray was nothing but rude and unprofessional towards myself and other customers. I hope that no one ever goes to this establishment ever again, and go through what I had to suffer from today. Worst experience of my life hands down.

This place is garbage. Engine randomly shut off, I call AAA, they send me RJT. After explaining what would have to be done to diagnose my car, I told Ray to NOT do anything and that I was going to call AAA and have it towed to Long Island. He seemed fine with that when we hung up, I spoke to him a few minutes later to update him and he had informed me that AAA already gave them the call to be dispatched. 3 days later and multiple phone calls to both RJT and AAA, car finally arrives at 8PM. Turns out he charged me $127 for doing work I asked him NOT to do, an additional $50 for tolls, AND the car was in parts! I paid $177 to have my car dismantled! This guy is a crook! STAY AWAY!

I would caution one and all to stay away from this business. There are many other auto/mechanic shops around that have much higher ratings and do not tell lies to get customers to utilize their business. As for the actual work on the car that seems to be done well (three weeks later and no issues thank goodness.) The work was not the issue it was being sold a bill of goods time and time again that ended up costing my family five extra hours in a car and cast a partial black cloud over a joyous weekend. Friday January 13th we were heading to Brooklyn when I lost control of the car and knew we needed to call AAA. RJT Motorists were the ones who responded to the call. We told them we wanted it towed to Newtown to a garage my sister uses and told the driver it was 85 an hour for labor there. He said they were close to that if we towed to RJT we would be the first one to be looked at Saturday morning and would be fixed that next day. As it was almost 10 pm and the driver told us he was supposed to work till 10 we believed what he had told us and tried to do him a solid as bringing the car up to Newtown would have added at least 2 hours on to his night. -RJT Motorists charge 110 an hour for service. The driver, who has worked for them for over a year should know full well what their price per hour is and he blatantly lied. -I have now called 12 other auto shops within a two mile radius of RJT and the highest hourly rate is 100 with most being 90 or 95. When pushed about the price Ray said " are at a body shop and all his technicians are computer literate." I do not need auto work, just belts replaced and in 2017 I would expect anyone to be computer literate. From the quick oil change locations to dealerships. -They do not take cards. What reputable companies do not take credit cards in 2017, especially places where you will usually be spending large amount of money. I am sending a letter to AAA and the IRS to let them know there seems to be something fishy a foot. -On top of these other issues the car was not ready when we were told it was going to be. If it was the first car they looked at it would have been finished but they did not. -When we said we had no checks on us they did say they could make up an invoice under their "towing" arm of business making up miles they towed up to match the cost of parts- plus we would have the added pleasure of paying a 3-4% surcharge. There is so much more but that gives you a good idea of how this business is run. They are many options out there that will charge a much fairer rate and will not tell you falsehoods to try to get your car into their lot. AAA needs to not have them on their roister - and will be making that clear to them.

Please do not come here. Car broke down and had to be towed here per Triple A's recommendation. Car took over a week to fix up and the original quote the owner Ray said was $400. Somehow the price doubled when I went to pick up my car. What a rip off. They charge you $40 for "putting anti-freeze" in your car, when my car was already filled with anti-freeze. Will be filing a consumer complaint at the bureau. Also, some shady stuff going on. They only take cash and no credit card. Will also be filing an IRS report.
