It’s a small neighborhood thrift store, but honestly, it’s better than expected. While it doesn’t have the huge selection you’d find in larger thrift stores, the items are nicely curated with a lot of vintage charm, making it fun to browse.
Prices are very affordable, so it’s a great spot if you’re looking for good deals. If you’re lucky, you can definitely find some hidden gems—it’s very much a “treasure hunt” kind of place.
The staff are friendly, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. That said, the store is on the smaller side and not perfectly organized, so it’s best to take your time and look around carefully.

The lady with the long hair is an absolute sweetheart, bless her heart. I won’t say the same for the other woman at the register, and the other review addressing her horrible attitude from only two weeks ago sounds spot on and similar to our experience. Practically glared at the moment we walked in, no hello, not a word, just very pursed lips. Is it because we’re in our 20s, because an older gentleman walked in after us and immediately got “hello, how can I help you?” Prepare to be judged here. We took our business elsewhere, and were happy to do business with every store/gift shop on Main St that had a basic understanding of customer service.
I stumbled upon this spot by chance. It’s a small store, but there’s a lot to browse through, and I even found the cutest perfume dispenser. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by the woman at the register. She was abrasive and unprofessional, even trying to talk me out of buying the things I’d picked out. (weird) At one point, another customer was having trouble because she didn’t speak English. The cashier grew aggressive toward her. When my sister stepped in to help translate, it only seemed to set the cashier off more—she dismissed her outright By the time I was checking out, she subtly flipped me off—completely inappropriate and unprovoked. I came in to shop, not to deal with hostility. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions, but if you're working in customer service, basic respect is part of the job. The store itself is fine, but the energy and treatment from that staff member left a horrible impression. A shame.
Cute thrift store that we went in while visiting Tarrytown. It’s located in the main avenue of downtown Tarrytown. It’s a very nice assortment of vintage/antique wares. The 2 ladies in the counter were so nice!! They truly made our experience wonderful! Hope to be back anytime I’m in the tri state are.
Every time I go to Tarrytown, I go here. The employees are lovely, they are always ready to help. They now accept apple pay, to those who are curious! I can't help but pick something up while I'm in there. The selection is very unique. The back room is my absolute favorite.
I love a good treasure hunt, that's why I love this shop! Every nook and cranny has a new little gem. Some of my favorite items in my house and closet are from this shop. Highly reccomend giving Cherry Door thrift shop a visit if you're in the area.
You must visit the Cherry Door Thrift Store. There are treasures galore. You’ll find anything from clothing, paintings, jewelry, fine China, furniture kitchen utensils and more. It’s a gold mind. The prices are reasonable & Dominic will advise you if needed. The store is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Here’s a tip; come early so you can get a good parking spot.

Always find a good book and something useful.The prices are great. The pricey items are well worth it.There are lots of handyman or woman projects to be had.i found this nice hanging lamp and fixed it up and it's now my favorite of all the treasures I found there. Can't wait to go back.
Not too many items to select from that's worth buying, and what is available are overly priced. There are other thrift shops that have more of a selection of items n good quality n not over priced. But a very pleasant customer service.
My friend and I are visiting from Oregon and happened across the shop around 3:30, most of the associates were extremely nice and friendly but the old woman with short brown hair and glasses snapped at us to get out at closing time, when we were at the register at 4 on the dot ready to pay! Woman calculating totals next to her wouldn't look up at us, said she refused to check us out for our one item (because it had just struck 4 on the dot??) and waved us away. Finally a kindly associate from came up from the back and checked us out quietly apologizing for the others. I hate to give 3 stars when the other workers were so nice, but the others made us very upset, if we entered the store at 4, fine, but we were at the register at 4. Very rude!
I’ve shopped here many times. The staff is very friendly. Mostly or all volunteers.
The prices have gone up since they painted the store and moved everything around, but you can still
find some good deals. They have some really nice furniture, books, crystal, fine china, jewelry, pots and pans and some linens. Occasionally I find some surprises in the crafts section.
Parking can be a challenge and it’s metered.
No public restrooms.
Found an old copy of Plato's The Republic. Definitely worth spending a bit of time searching; you will certainly find something worth buying. Very nice employees.
