My boat engine stalled out and I needed a tow from Stamford Ct to Manhasset Bay Long Island and they responded immediately. The dispatcher was very professional and extremely courteous and so was tow guy.
Whoever the captain was on June 25th servicing the queens area, was the most disrespectful person I ever spoke to in my life. I needed a boat towed out of water, the agent on the phone was actually very nice and tried to help but once the captain called me back i couldn’t believe it. He asked me a few questions l answered, then he said he wanted $2000 to tow me to the closest dock!! Kind of outrageous but I had no choice at the moment. SEATOW (who I would’ve used) was busy at the moment. So we both agreed to $2000 I told him I have cash in hand and please come tow me ASAP.
HIS RESPONSE WAS “YOU'RE LYING I DONT BELIEVE YOU HAVE $2000 IN YOUR HAND” AND HUNG UP THE PHONE WITH NO EXPLANATION. WORST WAY TO EVER DO BUSINESS. SAVE YOURSELF FROM THESE SCAMMERS AND TIME WASTERS!!!
