Most ALL of my reviews are positive, but not this one. After many years of going to Nickels because they were always friendly and fast, I will no longer be going there. When I took 3 large bags a month ago and young man took care of me and when done I left more than a $2 tip. The young man didn't thank me or even acknowledge it. Then this past week I took 1 large and 3 small bags, and a lady took care of me. There were at most 7 plastics that did not have deposit such as orange juice and out of state water bottles. The lady seriously said that if she gets many more that she will have to send them home with me. I took them out of the garbage can and took them home. Goodbye Nickels!
I would not even rate this place 1 star! They have a sign outside cans and bottles 5-8 cents. When I went in I ask what are the price today for cans. He replied rudely You have to spin the wheel. I told him I had never been there before so I did. It went to 7 cents then it stopped only to start up and move on it's own to 5 cents. I said I guess I should go to the can king down the road next time they always pay 6 cents and he replied rudely you should or words to that effect! Can king meets you at your car and carries them in for you and are always polite! I do NOT reccomend Nichols! Not sure if that was the owner or not but he clearly did not want any business and no one was even in there!
