I dropped off my pushmower and weedwhacker, I asked them to call me before they did any work.
They charged me over $100 for a very cheap part on my weedwhacker and did not look at my lawn mower and did not call me at all, I showed up and asked where my stuff was and they said it was done. Really rude and unproffesional when I asked why my mower wasn’t fixed. As a former mechanic this place is a scam.
I did not have a good experience with this service centre / stihl dealer. 1. They told me on the phone the repair to my chainsaw would be looked at in 2 days. 2. Despite a number of phone calls for progress reports, it took a month before I was called to say it was ready and that the cost was $360 to put in a new intake manifold and carb - 2 hours of labor. 3. Had they called me to say "Hey this is going to cost $360 to repair your 9 year old chainsaw", I'd have bought a new ms271 chainsaw instead for $520. But they didn't at any time tell me it was going to cost anything like that. Also, according to other Stihl dealers I have since spoken to, it shouldn't have taken more than one hour to repair. So, I won't be going back to G&G. And I just downloaded FOR FREE the MS271 tech service manual so I will do it myself next time.
I Bought my 2nd zero turn from them good honest people , gave me the best price on a Toro today and did the same for my Ferris zero turn a few years ago . Good local shop . Check them out if you need any outdoor power stuff . All My Sthil power stuff comes from them too. - Rob
Ordered parts for a chainsaw. Was told they’d be in the following week. 90 days later- they can’t tell me when the parts will be in, and refuse to refund the money. Terrible service. Would not shop here.
They have serviced many of my machines. Yes sometimes they take way too long to repair sometimes. I just had my Stihl backpack blower in. Bought it brand new elsewhere, used it 3 times on the 4th time it wouldn’t run. I took it in, in about 5 days got it back, and it runs better now than it did the first day I ever used it. So that’s another story, that’s a Stihl issue. G&G is a small local shop, so they get extremely busy, yes they seem to be understaffed, but in the long run they get the job done. I wish they were faster and had indoor storage. In short they are no different than any other shop. As for buying at big box stores, good luck getting repairs any faster or cheaper.
After doing a ton of research on Zero Turn mowers, I was moments away from purchasing a Badboy mower from tractor supply. But after realizing that I have been driving passed G And G House Of Wheels for a good portion of my life, I decided to stop in and talk lawn mowers. Chris the owner listened to every word on what I'm looking for in a mower and guided me to two solid options. He explained that "both are great machines, But one is a little more commercial. I sprung for the more commercial mower not because I felt pressured to do so, But because I'm a guy and we are stupid. After I purchased the mower, it was prepped and ready to go by the promised date and delivered on time to my front door. Now Chris told me that he was giving me a great deal on a leftover one from last year. In classic fashion mixed with a small amount of buyers remorse, I decided to check on this "Deal" I was given. After Searching the internet for over an hour, I realized that I had paid well under 1000$ for what those machines were going for last year and well under what I would have paid for this year's model. I was truly impressed that I could not find one part of the process to complain about, and I like to complain about anything given the opportunity. If you are looking for lawn equipment and actually want to talk to a human that knows what they are talking about, Give them a shot.
Worst listeners ever asked specifically if they could not fix what I said was priority than don't touch the others machine I dro off. These guys fix the thing I said not to touch if the other machines couldn't be fixed it was something I could do myself instead they fix that and say the other machines are shot when we using them before it got dropped off I'm so mad Do Not Go there
Went in, there was a customer waiting on line for over 20 minutes without being helped. I could see employees out back, but even when I rang the bell I got no service. I don't feel the need to beg for service. I'll take my money elsewhere.
"You can go out back in the junk yard to see if we have what you're looking for... Pull it yourself." Uhh... I'm sure your insurance company is going to love that liability issue. Dirty, unorganized and unmotivated to order parts. Drive on by unless you want to go dumpster diving on your own.
We have gotten all our lawn mowers from here. They are fixing my blower now. We just picked up a new chain saw.. great people ... trustworthy reliable..... and they sell quality products
Absolutely a pleasure to deal with, the owner and counter person one in the same is very helpful, knowledgeable and polite. They always have the parts I've needed, even though I don't own a product they sell. But for belts and tune up parts for my Case tractor, and other lawn equipment they always have what I'm in search of and have helped me out. The best part is usually everything is always in stock and at hand!
A great place to purchase new or used lawn mowers, hand held power equipment and have your small equipment serviced. (ATV, mower, snowblower, chainsaws, etc.) They also offer rentals for the larger DIY projects. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years and sent many referrals their way that were always extremely happy with the pricing and service. I would definitely recommend shopping here instead of the "big box stores." The employees are very knowledgeable, passionate and friendly.
I will never return to this shop. Had my lawn mower for 6 months and kept being told they were waiting for parts. Had to buy a new mower to get through the season and still no word on my mower. Finally got fed up and went in to take it back and go somewhere else. Clerk tells me the mower is fixed and has no answer why I was never called. Mine is not an isolated incident, three friends told me the same thing happened to them. This is why people go to box stores instead of shopping local.
This shop serves the local population. So its success depends on a having a good local reputation. I can depend on this shop for parts and service. They sell new and used equipment for both home owners and professional lawn maintenance companies. I have been satisfied with the value of the parts and equipment purchased from G&G.
