Love what they've done with the place. The staff are friendly, food is good, they have a good variety of drinks.
In summer you can sit on the deck, but as it gets cooler, I recommend sitting in front of that amazing fireplace inside.

Came here for dinner on a week night to celebrate my friends birthday. There was 11 of us and we made a reservation. I wouldn’t recommend large groups. They told us we had to order from a prefix menu and not the regular menu which was very limited. Food was ok. Service was struggling. The chefs choice dessert on the prefix menu was chocolate or vanilla ice cream the was served in a coffee mug. Won’t be coming back.
Played here for the first time today. The course is fun and has lots of potential. It’s a good track with several interesting holes and some nice views. A few blah holes that could be made better with some design tweaks. The tee boxes are terrible but can be made better fairly easily. The greens are slow but not in bad shape. With some investment and TLC this could be a really excellent course.
Price is fair. However course conditions are mediocre. Greens had browning and old cup placements were filled terribly. Fairways are very firm. Everything was very dry. If this course had an irrigation system or atleast a WAAAYYY better one I think it would do alot to this course. Was hoping for better since its new ownership.
Lovely view, but we had a mediocre (at best) breakfast. Both omelettes had raw egg in the center. Had to wait quite a long time for the food to come from the kitchen. Not very good coffee.
I recently attended a wedding at the Roscoe Mountain Club. The wedding was beautiful. Everything was set up beautifully and the bride was stunning. It was a hot day (to be expected), there was water available and the bride had fans for guests. When the ceremony ended we had to wait for two 4-person golf carts to cart us to the cocktail hour. It took about 45 minutes in the heat for our turn. By the time we got to the cocktail hour most of the food was gone and the wait for the bar for any kind of refreshment had an over 20 minute wait. When we went to the building for the reception we were immediately hit with hot, humid air. It was hotter inside than it was outside at the cocktail hour! Staff was scrambling to set up fans and open filthy windows. Pictures from the event have wires running on the floor and portable fans in the background. The tables had small glasses of warm water and warm, flat champagne for the toast, which must have been poured hours before the event. The glasses of water were never refilled once the entire night. Requests for more water were denied and we were sent to the bar. The bar had about 4 bottles of liquor (no whiskey, no rum) with only a few options as mixers. The food was sub par. The chicken was reconstituted patties and the potatoes were clearly boxed. After the cake was cut we did not receive cake (cutting it wasn't in the contract?!) nor were we offered any tea or coffee service. Staff appeared to be scrambling all night with rumors the chef was quitting due to poor working conditions. If the ballroom was over 90 degrees, the kitchen must have been unbearable. A woman at my table said that her husband did not attend and she's glad he didn't come because it was clearly not handicapped accessible for him. The grounds of the venue were beautiful so it's sad to see it being run so poorly. This place has a lot of potential that is being wasted by inept management.
The new owners are absolutely killing this place and the friendly vibe they used to have. One of New Yorks friendliest golf courses when it was the lake is now just over priced and underwhelming. Come here if you like to hear stuck up owners and golf staff bother all the attendees.
Club house bar and food staff much friendlier, just not the higher ups and people who answer to them.
Ordered takeout from the restaurant and it was tasty! Would definitely order takeout/dine in here again. The leek crema in the salmon dish is amazing. Trout dish was also tasty, wish there was a little more sauce though.
Golf course is nice, not too expensive and fun activity on the weekend. Grounds are beautiful and the property feels private.
I used to stay in the Inn at least once a year under the previous owners from 1998-2022.
Most of the times I was there, usually on Memorial Day weekend there may have been 1or 2 other parties staying at the Inn which has approximately 20 or so rooms. It had that “The Shining” feel to it. I can’t imagine the new owners are filling this place up. The rooms were pretty spartan, basically a bed and bathroom.
I see the rooms have been renovated which is appreciated but the rates are much more.
Back in 2022 the cost was roughly $100 a night during the week and $135 on the weekend.
Now the price is north of $200.
When the place first opened under the new ownership they were looking to get $300 a night which is absolutely absurd.
Regarding the location. It is a great property high up the mountain from Roscoe. Great scenery and very peaceful.
With the prices as high as they are, this is no longer my go to place.
As a fly fisherman and golfer, this was a great and affordable option for me, but for the money they are asking I can find much better properties to suit my needs.
For example I can rent an entire fishing cabin right on the river for $200 a night.
I attended a group outing this past weekend at RMC (77 in the group) we had an all around excellent experience. The accommodations are all brand new and beautiful. The staff was over the top helpful and friendly and the food was excellent! Our group had an exceptional visit. Thank you RMC, we will be back!
Huge improvement to the rooms at the "Inn", still a work in progress like better signs navigating the large propert and various buildings. Could use a holder for A/C remote control as the thermostat on the wall only controls heat in the winter.
While I am in favor of reducing plastic usage at hotels, the micro shampoo and conditioner bottles will probably require 4-6 bottles of each for a 2 night stay. Oh, the paper-wrapped soap disc are about the size of a golf ball marker you'd use to mark your golf ball on a green, and this little disc doesn't lather much at all.
Staff hires are going well and they work hard and smile when interacting with guests on property.
Much, much better, but the make-over/upgrades are still a little bit of a work in progress. (Not so much you shouldn't book a stay, just know they are busting their picks to cross the it's and dot the i's.)
Great Course, new delicious menu. But most importantly, the incredible staff really makes this place! Whether wanting to play a round of golf, enjoy a nice meal, or even find a lovely place to stay while in the area. RMC does not disappoint.
This is the second time I have been to Roscoe Mountain Club and the property is beautiful, and has had major improvements since I was there last! My partner and I came for a weekend getaway and RMC provided exactly what we were looking for. Cozy, charming rooms, an amazing restaurant right on site (the sunday brunch buffet blew my mind!), and they even offered ice skating! The staff was also extremely accommodating. We walked the grounds and my partner is very excited to come back in the summer to try out their golf course. Can't wait to come back!
All in all, Tennanah is a fun course. The bunkers and cart paths leave a little to be desired, but if you're looking for quick pace, nice views, and a challenging track this is your place. At 6500 yards it's not too short to force fairway metals all day which is appreciated
Disappointing to say the least.
Originally was seated in line with front door resulting in cold breeze every time door opened.
Moved to another location that was cold all the time.
Asked to raise heat and overheard mngr,we could raise a little bit.
No relief.
The topper was when both prime rib dinners came out lacking warmth also.
Doubt would ever go back.
1st of all the vistas are beautiful and best seen when playing a round of golf.
Picklelball courts are great and have lights.
Food and restaurant delightful/ my husband had the special Saturday night - rib / eye and I was able to get a nice salad with a choice of chicken or salmon - all prepared very well.
Overall a delightful retreat with something for everyone.
Beautiful scenery with friendly and accommodating staff. The course has recently been re-established so it’s not yet professional grade. But that’s easy to overlook with the awesome views and stellar staff.
We had a delicious lunch of burgers and cheese curd. The coffee was good, view superb and the server was helpful and so nice! However, the lunch menu could be expanded some. We will be back!
We were the first group to play and stay over night at the renovated hotel. The golf and the rooms were great. We enjoyed two spectacular meals and the staff couldn’t have been any more welcoming. We look forward to returning in the future.
I have to say the golf course is unbelievably beautiful with spectacular views. I stayed in the motel over the weekend with some friends and we were very pleased. My room was clean and it had everything that I needed. The housekeepers Edna, Tammy and Mabel were awesome about bringing us necessities when we needed them. All the staff are very nice and not to mention the food was amazing! Will be back soon.

Tennanah Lake Golf course is very well up-kept! I stayed in one of the rooms for the weekend & was very happy! The house keepers do an amazing job making sure that everything is very clean and organized. Edna, Tammy, & Mabel are so very kind! Anytime I needed cleaning services, they were there to do it. Awesome ladies! I will be back again soon.
We stopped in for lunch at The Grill and our waitress/ bartender Kate was amazing! Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back.
We were just up there for 3 days, 2 nights for a wedding. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. And the staff are fantastic, they are honestly the reason for such a good review. They are always smiling and helpful despite being incredibly overworked. Hosting us for rehearsal, then until late the night of the wedding and then back early the morning for brunch. I cannot say enough good things about them.
I have been to Roscoe, NY many times and am used to a laid back, country living type of experience. That does not excuse the neglect to the property. BOTH bathrooms in the main reception hall broke during the night. They handled it as best they could considering there were 3 girls trying to serve guests. Thankfully a few of the guests started to tend bar so they could keep the hall from flooding and get it under control.
The rooms were awful. The inn needs updating desperately. Now I’m not talking 5 star, but a standard of cleanliness is to be expected and was not met. Dead bugs, spider webs, no working lights outside. The balcony felt like it was going to fall down when we tried to go outside on a 2nd story room.
I personally stayed in the condos. At first glance, fantastic. Right on the lake, such a beautiful view except you can’t get any of the doors open to sit on the porch to enjoy it. Signs that say you can’t run all the heaters at once. The room was very spacious but the whole thing felt moist and there was a giant MOLD stain, not water damage, MOLD. When I showed the owner a picture, his response was “we’ve had some heavy rain these last few days.” This is not something that happened in 2 days. I was not expecting a full refund but he didn’t even offer to compensate me.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the food was excellent. If it wasn’t for the unfortunate lodging conditions, this would for sure be a 5 star review.
I would still recommend it but feel a fair warning is necessary.
I was enjoying a party last week at wolf's catering room and I must say it was incredible the food was a simple dish however the kitchen staff did a great job making the best chicken marsala lol... not sure who was the chef... but it was yummy... I had a great night and I stayed at the condos ... it's definitely a old fashion style place ..I guess that part makes the course unique... it has a gorgeous view to the lake and peaceful as heaven. .. for sure no way I can find that in the city ... so I'll like to thank the staff and the place for the wonderful weekend
